Once the three got home, Exeo said, "I need to talk to you both about something. Let's talk about it after dinner.", which the two just nodded and went into their respective rooms.

After dinner, Ember and Val went straight into Exeo's study room. Ember knocked and a voice can be heard, 'Come in', and both went in.

Once they sat on the sofa, Exeo said, "Firstly, congratulations again Val, for getting your license.", both Ember and Exeo smiled gently when they looked at Val. Val was flustered and scratched his cheek, "Well, we couldn't just announce it to the public, but it's fine." he smiled at the both of them.

Exeo coughed, and said, "This also brings us to this topic. You know now that our parents had hidden you because of your abilities, and because of this, we can't just carelessly announce it. Also, I think you have also noticed that beneath this prosperous country, there are also hidden dangers. And so, we would like to tell you that we've been in a Team of Assassins since we joined the military."

Val asked, "Assassins?"

Ember is the one who nodded and replied, "Yes, a team of ability-users assassins."

Exeo this time was the one who continued, "To be honest, Clareo and other countries, have all had a team of assassins since long before. We can't just declare officially that we have one, as this team would be the ones to do the dirty work, not by the books, including assassinations. Ember and I have been doing this for quite a while, but it's taxing when it's only the two of us. So, we decided that it would be better for you to join rather than have you exposed publicly. We had already planned this years ago, long before we have know we have you, but we have also in mind to recruit. However, there were just-" Ember butted in, "We can't just find the right person or people to join yet, so we put it on hold."

Ember continued nervously, "But of course!" raising both his hands, "i-if you decided not to j-join, we would respect it. B-but we would be happier if y-you could join us."

Val widened his eyes and laughed loudly, "Pfft hahaha! Brother Ember, that's the first time I see you being nervous saying it. Hahahahah!"

Ember lowered his head in embarrassment while crossing his arms and humphed. Exeo just smiled gently. He knows how Ember acts in front of others. Ever since Val had been a part of their life, Ember always had a soft spot for Val. Ember is not one who always listens to others, but for Val, he would take listen to his opinions, which is a good thing.

For Exeo, he is also worried for Ember, whenever they would be on missions, Ember is always the one who charges first. Even if he is good in combat, being their oldest, it still scares Exeo that he would one day disappear. This is why, Exeo is always thankful that Val had come into their lives.

Val looked down, closed his eyes, and opened them again, looking straight at his two brothers, "Will it just be the three of us?"

Ember smirked, and said, "Oh? You'll meet them tomorrow."

After the three brothers' talk last night, they decided to go to the military headquarters to meet the two new recruits. The usual, all three brothers caused a commotion to the public. All three are wearing black military uniforms, with chained earrings on all right side of the ears, and now, Val had a small gold pin attached to his cloak.

Exeo was the one in front, followed by Ember, and behind him was Val, who all three wore cold expressions.

Once they entered inside, Exeo went straight to the training grounds to get the two recruits, while Ember and Val went straight to the training room while waiting.

When both were inside the training room, Val asked, "I see guns here, but where's the target?"

Ember turned to face Val, and pointed to himself innocently, "I can be the target."

Val's expression shows a face of disgust.

Ember said, "Oi! What's with that reaction?! Do you think I can't evade you? Or, what, you haven't tried to practice a gun, is it?", evilly smirking and annoying Val just for him to use the gun.

"Who said I can't?!", Val got provoked and soon grabbed a handgun near him, and started to shoot at Ember.

The whole time Ember kept provoking Val, and though he was able to evade it, there were instances where some of the bullets grazed at his arm.

'Woah! He almost got me there', Ember thought when he evade a bullet on his right, he followed it with his eyes then back at Val, with a nervous smile.

'This devil.'

Ember smirked back at Val who is also smiling at him evilly.

This time, Ember rolled to his left side and grabbed a sword, and blocked some bullets. Due to this, some bullets ricocheted back in Val's direction in a fast motion. He dodged the bullet that bounced back at him but shouted at Ember, "Hey!"

Ember smug at Val and said, "What? You complaining?", and stood, raising his sword and resting it on his shoulder.

"I'll wipe that smug on your face!", Val said and had his lips in tightly, then smiled. He pointed the gun again and was about to shoot when Exeo interrupted them in the speaker, he said, "What happened in here?"

Both the two flinched, and looked upwards, and Val said nervously, "O-oh, brother. We were just practicing, while waiting for you.", scratching his cheek while hiding the gun behind his back. "

"Look around you.", Exeo said in a menacing manner, both looked around with their eyes and were shocked, but soon sweatdropped when they saw the aftermath of their so-called practice.

The two hunched their backs and apologized, while Exeo just sighed, "We'll be down there in a minute.", and looked at the two beside him.

A brown-haired boy, with brown eyes and some freckles across his face, had a friendly expression, and beside him, with icy blonde medium-length hair, a boy with fair jade skin with a baby face, who is clearly nervous between the two. When Exeo looked sideways at the two, the blonde had an 'Eep!' sound coming out from his mouth, while the brown-haired boy, seems excited to see the famous Bellators. He motioned for them to go there where the other two are, and so they hurriedly went down.

Once the two newcomers and Exeo arrived, they were in front of the three Bellator brothers. He ignored the trembling of the blonde boy, he coughed and said, "We have recruited you guys to join our team-"

"YES SIR!", they said both in unison, they soon realized they cut off Ember, and so they pursed their lips.

"Phhbbt!" Val lowered his head immediately which made the two flinch and red in embarrassment, while Ember just sighed. He continued and said, "As I said earlier, we picked you two to join as assassins."

The three redheads waited for any reaction between the two new recruits, but there was none. Both had blank expressions on their faces.

Val was confused, he leaned slightly toward Ember who was beside him, and whispered, "Do you think they understand what you mean?"

Ember turned his head sideways to face Val and replied in a whisper, "I guess? I mean I told them when I recruited them, even Exeo approved of them.", shrugging slightly.

Val glanced at the two and tilted his head, his hand rubbing his chin, and asked the two, "What are your names?"

The brown-haired guy was the first one to talk, and said in a loud voice, almost like shouting, "I'm Riggs Lutio, Aurum Rank!", the three immediately covered one of their ears as they felt they would go deaf on one side just by his voice. Even the blonde guy winced at how loud the voice of the guy beside him was.

Ember nodded and motioned for the second guy to introduce himself. The icy blonde guy was nervous and started to introduce himself while glancing around, avoiding making eye contact with any of the three brothers, "I-I'm Bo Ashfelt, Aurum R-rank, s-sir", trailing his voice quietly.

All three redheads thought, 'He is going to break down at this point' and sweatdropped at that thought.

Then suddenly, Riggs slid down his hands into one of his side pockets and pulled out a gum. He unwrapped it, and shove it in Bo's mouth, an 'Eek!' can be heard but Bo accepted it. A sudden change had occurred, after a few seconds of Bo chewing the gum, his demeanor has changed. The trembling guy that was seen earlier was long gone but was replaced with a listless, but cold expression, and the trembling had stopped.

Riggs stood up straight as if he had done nothing wrong, while the three Bellators jaw-dropped at the 180° change on Bo. They looked back and forth between Riggs and Bo, waiting for an explanation, but this time, it was the new Bo who talked.

"Uh, it's just how I cope when I'm nervous.", scratching his cheek, while glancing down at the floor and then back at the three in front of him.

The three gasped at how deep but icy his voice is, which was totally different from when he was trembling earlier.

Val chuckled at it, but said, "It's fine, welcome to the team.", he smiled. Bo just nodded while silently chewing on the gum.

And so, Exeo talked, "As Ember said earlier, you will soon be members of our team. It will be a team of assassins, we carefully handpicked to do the dirty work." The two guys had a serious expression when Exeo mentioned 'dirty work'. They knew that what Exeo meant is it included off-the-books jobs, such as assassinations.

Exeo continued, "In addition, your records will be erased. This means, when you die, no one will know you died. The three of us would not also reveal of course our identities when doing dangerous missions. I know this is not the proper place to ask and would be too much to ask you, but I need to ask this early on..are you prepared? You can back out as early as now, but once you are officially enlisted to the team, it's a point of no return.", he asked the two with a very serious expression, since they are asking to stake their lives. This is also the reason why they only picked two, not a lot yet, as they don't know whether they'd be prepared for this.

The two were silent and looked down, but soon, both raised their heads, standing straight, and with a serious expression, they said, "Yes, we're ready sir.".

"Good. Also, this is strictly confidential, you are not allowed to spread about this. Also, follow Val to go to the doctor's office and take your Mana Oath.", Val gaped his mouth and made a shocked face of 'Huh? Why me?' but gave up and replied with an 'Alright'.

The two nodded and with sparkly but serious eyes, they stared at Val's direction. Val waved goodbye to his elder brothers and motioned with his head for the two to follow him.

As soon as they were out of the training room, Ember turned sideways, and asked with one eyebrow raised, "Why did you tell them to follow Val?". "Well, I just wanted Val to socialize at least a bit with those people around or near his age. We're always together with him.", Exeo said.

"Huh. And here I thought you're overprotective of him."

"I sure do, but that doesn't mean we can't allow him to at least socialize with them. Besides, those two will be a part of the team. At least if we are not around Val, he'd be fine with those two at least."

Ember snorted, and said, "He'll be fine. Have a little faith in him, will ya?"

"Hmn. I am. Well, let's go. We have a meeting with the higher-ups, and soon, it will be time for the team to be official.", Ember just nodded and both went out of the training room.

Val and the two new recruits are walking toward the doctor's office. Val was leading them, and a voice behind him, Bo, said, "I-I'd like to ask why you decided to recruit us. There are other Aurum users w-who are more fitted to be a part of the team, in fact, if they hear it, t-they would be dying to join."

Val looked back, and noticed that there was a slight trembling in his voice, and thought, 'Oh, so he reverted back.'. He looked back in front and said, "To be honest, I even didn't know that my brothers had already recruited you guys, they just told me about you guys last night.", he continued, "Don't get me wrong, I'm not against it, in fact, I'm glad that you both joined and agreed.", he looked back and smiled at both of them.

"Hmm, as for the reason why they chose you, maybe because of your skills? I don't know your skills, but that can be one of the reasons, for the other reasons, you may want to talk about it to them.", then he stopped and said, "Here we are.". Val knocked three times, and the voice can be heard 'come in'., Val went in first followed by Bo and Riggs.

Dr. Lewis raised his head and saw the three guys, and said, "Sit.", they followed and sat down. The doctor stood up and went towards the bookshelf to the right. In the middle layer, a small wooden box was resting on it, he grabbed the box and went to sit on the sofa opposite the three guys.

He put down the small wooden box, and said, "Your left hands please", and so, the two brought their two left hands forward. He opened the small wooden box and grabbed a pinch of green and black powder, smeared it on top of their backhands. Afterward, he chanted, and both hands were glowing. Then soon, the powders that were smeared slowly formed into a magic seal, the Mana Oath. The seal soon disappeared like it was not even there, along with the light.

"Okay done, you can now go. Val, please stay." The two replied curtly with "Thank you" and went out of the office, leaving only Val and the doctor.

The doctor didn't say anything but instead grabbed a box, and opened it, showing to Val, "Here. These are custom-made gloves for all of you, which you requested. Just inject mana, and you should be able to manifest your purple fire, or in your case, both abilities." Val nodded, thank the doctor, and bid goodbye, carrying with him the small boxes with custom-made gloves inside.
