CHAPTER 142
290 AC
POV MC
Even after all that taunting, there wasn't anyone from Harlaw's side. So, I used more heavy insults.
"Those cunts would always talk about the iron price when it comes to fighting and killing weak villagers, but when a real fight is to be had, they became meek as mice. I have gotten your ancestral sword while paying the iron price, but none of you have the balls to face me and try to take it back."
Upon those heavy insults, one more man comes down from the castle. I was looking from the eyes of my familiars, and they were still trying to pull carts and barrels around the gate, trying to create a blockade, but that make-shift blockade would be nothing to a charging Sith.
"Who would give me their sword?"
Jory started riding toward me. He gave me his sword and said,
"Don't you think this much taunting and demoralization is enough?"
"No, If I push them one more time after a win, they will break the second we get past the make-shift blockade they are making behind the gate."
"How do you know they have a blockade?"
"Jory, what would you do when your gate is breech, but the army is not marching in? And my familiar is behind the gate."
"That makes sense."
The Ironborn finally reached us, and Jory left. It was so obvious he was walking slowly to earn more time.
"I, Boremund Harlaw, the head of Harridan Hall, accept your challenge."
This guy had 12 str but 10 speed. He charged toward me, but I was so much faster than him. I did a body feint and acted like I was going to charge right at him but at the last second pivoted around him. Raised my arm high and guided his sword to the right; while deflecting his sword, I stepped in and slugged him with the sword's pommel right on his ear. He was disorientated. I didn't waste any more time and chopped his head off.

"Is this the best you lot can do? Is this what passes as a man among you cunts?"
I stabbed the sword to the ground and pulled my dagger,
"I will fight two of you with this dagger; who will accept my challenge?"
They were stalling for time, but this was hurting them more. When I shouted this time, I could see some men flinch at the ramparts. I turned to the Stark Army and said,
"Man of the North, what say you against those cunts that don't even dare to face one Northern Knight with a dagger?"
All the men started banging their shields and chanting,
" Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill! "
I could feel blood in my mouth after all that shouting using the lion's roar, but this was worth it. Without waiting for Harlaws to accept the challenge, it was time;
-Sith, now use your roar and come get me.-
She started collecting the mana in her body at her throat and released a thunderous roar. I could see the men on the rampart jumping out of their skin. After I created the spell, she copied me like Poe did and made this debuff spell.
Sith didn't have a mana heart, which is why until now, she had two ways to use her mana: one was her stealth movement that erased her presence. The other was her speed and defense boost, but now she learned the lion's roar while copying me. This wasn't exactly a spell; she was reinforcing her throat and vocal cords with mana, so when she released her roar, the sound waves were imbued with mana. This was more like a skill than a spell.
After her frightening roar, she ran at me at top speed before they could realize what was happening. We were right before the gate. Two of the scorpions tried to fire at us, but Sith managed to dodge them while zigzagging. While charging in, I started casting all the buffs at her and reinforced her magic armor with an air wall to lessen the collision force.
The Northern army started their charge right after her, but they were still 100 meters away.
When we got right in front of the gate, we could see the carts and barrels piled behind the gate, but when Sith crushed into the carts and barrels, she couldn't go all the way through, and I almost fell because of our instant stop. If I didn't have armor magic on me, I would most likely dislocate my arms. The ironborn started to attack her with spears, but the magic was protecting her, and with every swipe of her giant paws, the carts were falling apart.
Because most of the time she was on her hind legs, most of the spears couldn't reach me, and the magic armor protected her, but I could feel it was starting to hurt her. She retreated a bit, then charged with great anger and headbutted the cart. The cart had already broken, and with this hit, it flew around 4 meters and crushed the soldiers behind it.
Now we had a point for entry, and at that moment, the army had already caught up with us. Like an endless wave, they started to charge in. Ironborn resisted until we had completely taken over the gate and the land around it. Still, they were demoralized further by Lord Stark's shouting of mercy for those who surrendered.
Mine and Sith's onslaught helped a lot too. With the double-crescent halberd, I was able to kill a lot, and with every battle, I was becoming more conformable with the weapon. Like the other house on Harlaw Island, we also hosted all the male members of House Harlaw and started sending their slaves to the mainland. After the battle, I came back as the Druid and healed all the wounded, and Lord Stark gave me the Nightfall as a gift.

POV JON ARRYN
I was in the hand's tower and was drowning in paperwork. One of the servants had brought Lord Royce's message. When I read this message, I couldn't understand Robert's behavior. Why is he attacking the other islands? All he needs to do is take the Pyke, and the war will be over. The message was sent a week ago. Even if I sent him a message, it wouldn’t change anything. In times like this, I wish Ned was the one with the Targaryen blood. When it comes to fighting, Robert always acts like a mountain clan.
I turned to the papers on my desk and released a big sigh. The crown was already 4 million in debt. This had accumulated while I was trying to rein in his wanton spending. We owed 2 million to Lannisters, 1 million to Iron Bank, and 1 million to the Faith. Master of the Coin was such a useless man, and I had to convince Robert to dismiss him after the war. I already had a replacement in my mind. I hope the coffers of Ironborn were full so we could at least earn some gold from these needless slaughters.
