Chapter 208: Goal

"That's understandable. So, do you plan to add the heroes from the other ruins to our group?" Boara asked, leaning closer to Aurianna.

"It depends on whether they're willing to reason with me. Having that many heroes would probably make me a world enemy since heroes are considered enemies in Grangia!" Aurianna replied with a mischievous grin.

"Aurianna..." Kiana hesitated, her voice trembling slightly.

"Yes? What is it?" Aurianna asked, her eyes locking onto the mermaid.

"Do you really plan to start a world war? You're so young," Kiana said, her worry evident in every word.

“I'm quite shocked as well,” Boara added.

"Of course she does!" Eva interjected proudly, appearing beside Aurianna with her arms crossed and a confident smile, staring down Boara.

"I didn't realize you had such confidence in me," Aurianna chuckled.

"Well, I have to give you some credit, don't I?" Eva replied, her smile unwavering.

‘Ahhh, I don't want to die with this crazy girl!!’ Kiana thought, as she cried inwardly.

"You won't die, so stop worrying!" Aurianna snapped, making Kiana jump.

"Do you even hear yourself? Joining up with heroes, opposing a goddess—you want us all to die?!" Kiana exclaimed, her voice shaking.

"If that's my fate, so be it. But I won't live my life without making that stupid goddess pay for what she did to me!" Aurianna declared, her eyes burning with determination.

"Umm..." Kiana mumbled, fidgeting as if she wanted to speak.

"Don't bother asking, because I won't answer," Aurianna said firmly, already knowing what she wanted to ask.

‘Damn it, I wanted to know why she hates the goddess of beauty,’ Kiana thought, biting her lip.

"But going to war over one person is insane. I don't even know your reasons!" Kiana cried out, her frustration boiling over.

"Maybe one day, when I feel like it, I'll tell you why, Kiana," Aurianna said with a subtle smile, causing Kiana's heart to skip a beat and her blue face to turn slightly red.

"If it's revenge you want, you need to think rationally. You'll be opposing the World Order—the 15 powers that govern our world!" Kiana warned, her expression serious.

"The World Order—the list of organizations that manage the power balance of our world. The Church of Light, the Church of Peace, the Church of War, the Church of Wisdom, the Church of Demons, the Church of Nature, the Church of Beauty, the Church of Suicide, the Church of the Sea, the Church of Lust, the Church of Time, the Church of Games, the Church of Death, The Royal Humans, The Keepers—every single one would become our enemy. Each one commands more than a hundred Grand Humans, and who knows how many Primordial Humans they have!"

"Can you really go against all these people? The most powerful beings to exist? That's pure madness, and I have to object to this insane plan of yours, Aurianna!" Kiana yelled fiercely, while Leila, Boara, and Eva watched calmly.

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

"You doubt my abilities that much, Kiana?" Aurianna chuckled, looking up at Kiana with a cold smile, making the mermaid nervous.

"It's natural to feel that way," Kiana said, her voice wavering.

"What's more, you're quite informed," Aurianna remarked.

"This is common knowledge, along with various books I've read," Kiana stated.

"Really, Eva?!" Aurianna gasped, turning to look at Eva.

"Yes, it is. Your entire country was isolated from this information, but if you read the books I gave you, you'd know, you silly brat!" Eva shouted, grabbing Aurianna's cheeks and pinching them until they turned red, causing her to wince in pain.

"I'll read them, okay! So stop pinching me!" Aurianna yelled with teary eyes until Eva finally released her.

"So, sister, have you finally made your decision?" Leila asked with a subtle smile, standing next to Aurianna, who was rubbing her aching cheeks.

"I have. From now on, Eva, Boara, and Kiana, you are the first members of the Church of White!" Aurianna declared, stretching out her hand. The diamond mark in her eye shone, as did the marks in Eva, Kiana's, and Boara's eyes.

"Church of White? I've read of no such church," Kiana blurted out in confusion.

"Because there isn't one. I'm establishing my own church," Aurianna declared with a grin.

"That's not possible! No mortal can establish their church on a whim!" Kiana objected, her expression a mix of surprise and disbelief.

"And who said I was a mortal?" Aurianna asked with a cold smile.

"Hey, I'm older than you!" Kiana blushed, trying to assert herself.

"I'm actually much older than you, Kiana," Aurianna replied calmly.

"Are you two really gods?" Kiana asked doubtfully, her voice trembling.

"Not yet, but we will be in a few years!" Leila stated with a grin, wrapping an arm around Aurianna.

"Starting a church is preposterous!" Kiana gasped.

"That's what makes it fun!" Aurianna declared excitedly. "Anyone I deem my foe will face the might of the Church of White!"

"But to build a church, you need more than a hundred thousand followers!" Kiana protested.

"And who said I don't have such numbers?" Aurianna asked, a hint of amusement in her voice.

"That's impossible!"

"So far, the number of people with my mark is 200,000," Aurianna chuckled.

"Remember Queen Shiba? She came to the war against Sandeph with over 100,000 knights. Adding the nobles from her former nation who joined my side boosts our numbers significantly. Not to mention the high-ranking demons I saved—all of them whom agreed to become my subordinates in those jail cells. Every knight under me bears my mark, especially my Golden Knights. I can't have people who aren't under my command on my side after all. To think my former plans would be disrupted when I was captured," Aurianna sighed, shaking her head. "And Leila, you've been hugging me for a while now."

"I just miss my dear sister!" Leila pouted.

"That Yui girl is quite reliable," Eva noted.

"Yes, she is. I won't let the same tragedy of traitors being around me happen again," Aurianna stated with a wicked smile. "Now, for the best part! More than a million demons will be mine, whether they like it or not, once I return to my country!"

"My brother will definitely need my help when I get back, especially since I'm now a Grand Human. They'll join my church to seek refuge. He'll lose this war without my help, and by now, he likely has more than a million demons under him. All of them who will bear my mark!" Aurianna declared confidently.

"What are you talking about?" Kiana and Boara asked in confusion.

"Oh, you're confused? Let me show you," Aurianna said, snapping her fingers. Instantly, her memories were transferred to them.

"To plan like this... Seriously, you're insane, Aurianna Vanluad," Boara chuckled nervously.

"Thank you, I find that a wonderful compliment," Aurianna said with a smile.

"Well, I guess I can only follow you and trust your words then," Kiana declared.

‘So many capable people are by her side. Would I truly be able to compete against them?’ Kiana wondered nervously.

"You better not cry a lot, Kiana, or you won't be able to handle being by my side!" Aurianna warned.

"Humph, let's get to training already! If you have such a big goal, it's better we all get stronger before we leave the ruin!" Kiana declared with a huff, though she couldn't hide the smile on her lips.

‘That way, I can be more useful to her,’ she thought, gripping her palms.

‘Aurianna, you truly amaze me. You're like a dazzling star I can't reach but can hold so close. I want to see how far you'll go, and I want to be by your side to the very end. I admire you like I admire my big brother,’ Kiana thought with a smile.

‘Brother, I guess I won't be a peacemaker like you. So, I hope you don't get mad at me, okay?’ She laughed softly.
