Who Says all Saints Need to be Good?
Chapter 182: Fighting Kisho

Chapter 182: Fighting Kisho

"Yes!" Aurianna nodded.

"That guy is a Ruler like us; I don't think a contract would even be possible," Carol shook her head doubtfully.

"Who said it's not possible? I'll never know unless I try," Aurianna insisted.

"I am curious if such a thing is possible because there's someone I also promised to make a contract with," Leila added, recalling a monster she encountered when she first entered the training grounds.

"Are you girls even summoners?" Carol asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Technically, I guess we are," Leila blurted out, though she wasn't confident with her words.

"I guess we are similar to summoners since we can summon Queen and King, so there's a possibility!" Aurianna said.

"I see," Carol said.

"But even if you're summoners, a mere level 1336 won't be able to summon the Hex Weaver Domain Ruler, Kleizorn, or even make a contract with him," Gumura stated.

"Kleizorn, I'll never forget when that bastard managed to take off one of my arms," Carol gritted her teeth and the whole building began to tremble.

"Don't kill him, I want him to be my familiar!" Aurianna angrily huffed at Carol, who immediately calmed down and looked at the little girl before her, glaring at her with her white eyes.

"Well, if you say so," Carol shrugged.

"So back to what I was saying. Kleizorn is too strong for you to make a contract with him. At least try to reach level 3000 and attempt to make a contract with him," Gumura suggested, and Aurianna reluctantly puffed her cheeks as she pondered.

"What's your level?" Aurianna curiously asked as she looked at Gumura.

"And why should I reveal that?" Gumura asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Because I'm curious!" Aurianna insisted.

"Same," Leila added, her eyes sparkling as they both looked at him with excitement.

"When you become as strong as me, such things as levels and a system become irrelevant. Systems were just designed to track one's level if they worshiped a divine being. But in my world, I killed the divine being, so my system disappeared a long time ago," Gumura casually stated, and Aurianna and Leila looked at him with slightly doubtful gazes.

"Same for me, but my world's divine being, or god, was killed by a Regal," Carol stated as she rubbed her hand, her usual bold and confident expression immediately twisting into fear as she bit her lip.

"Those guys are complete monsters!" Carol gritted her teeth as her sharp nails sank into her arms.

‘Someone like Carol is afraid of a Regal?’ Aurianna thought as she looked at Leila.

‘I wonder how terrifying they are,’ Leila said, and Aurianna nodded in agreement.

‘Same. Because if Carol and Gumura are afraid of them, what more of us, whom they are after?’ Aurianna asked as she too started to feel afraid.

‘That's why we must get stronger. We'll never know when one of those beings would attack us. We have to find out what happened to the old generation Gemaris,’ Leila said, and Aurianna nodded in agreement.

‘The system has a lot of explaining to do. About the old generation, Regals, and what is really a Gemaris?’ Aurianna's voice echoed in their minds, her expression grave with concern.

[ I'll tell you girls later on. ] a message flashed on a white screen before disappearing.

‘The system is acting suspicious again,’ Aurianna said as she eyed Leila.

‘I've realized this for a while now. But if it won't tell us about itself, we can only wait for the day it would,’ Leila communicated telepathically with a casual shrug.

Gumura observed the silent exchange between Aurianna and Leila, his expression one of confusion. "Why are they just staring at each other and nodding?"

Carol explained with a knowing smile, "Well, I found out that they can telepathically communicate with each other."

"Ah, that's an extremely useful skill!" Gumura praised before approaching the two girls.

"Now it's time for you both to fight Dokjil and Kisho!" Gumura announced excitedly, snapping his fingers as they were transported outside.

"You four will fight for 10 years," Gumura declared with a smile.

"I'm alright with that!" Dokjil responded casually.

"But Aurianna and Leila, your quest is not to die. Don't rely on your revival magic during these ten years," Gumura instructed, causing Aurianna and Leila to react with shock.

"You want us to fight a level 10,000 monster and not rely on revival magic?! Might as well tell me to just die!" Aurianna exclaimed dramatically, collapsing to the ground but Leila caught her in her arms.

"Aurianna is right. That's just like a death sentence," Leila agreed, her concern mirroring her sister's. The level difference between them and the slime monsters was just too large.

"If you die, I guess I won't be able to give you the special skill I wanted to give you both," Gumura admitted sheepishly, turning away.

"Special skill?" Aurianna and Leila perked up simultaneously.

"Yes!" Gumura turned back, a slight grin playing on his lips. "One poison skill tailored for both of you that would greatly enhance your combat capabilities!" He watched as Aurianna and Leila were immediately tempted by the offer.

"Hmm, but the problem is that I'm able to fight the way I do because of my revival and healing magic," Leila voiced her concern with a frown.

"I agree. I also rely on them," Aurianna nodded, her arms crossed.

"And that's the problem. Over here, because of Eva's blessing, your revival time has been accelerated, and from the data she gave me from your real world, you two actually have a limited revival number," Gumura revealed, prompting Aurianna and Leila to squint in thought.

"How many do we exactly have?" Aurianna asked, her curiosity piqued.

"Well, Eva told me it varies, so she has been unable to collect an accurate data amount, but on average, fifty times," Gumura stated, causing Aurianna and Leila to bite their lips in contemplation.

"I see," they both murmured in response.

"Why must I fight for ten years? So much work!" Kisho complained as he slumped to the ground, feigning tears.

"Stop being lazy!" Dokjil chuckled, patting Kisho on the back.

Dokjil appeared as a ten-foot humanoid slime, similar in height to Kisho. He sported spiky red hair and a pair of golden brown eyes. Unlike Kisho, who appeared as a purple slime, Dokjil had a black hue.

“I really don't want to fight that Dokjil guy without my revival skill,” Leila sighed telepathically to Aurianna, who noticed her gloomy expression.

“Ehhh, it can't be that bad?” Aurianna replied, trying to offer some reassurance.

“It is. The number of times I thought I died and forgot I could revive is too many. Now, I have to fight him for ten years... Ugh, just thinking about it makes me sick,” Leila grunted, placing her hand over her mouth.

“Don't worry, in the end, you got stronger, right?” Aurianna asked with a wry smile.

“Yes,” Leila reluctantly admitted.

“Then let's do our best!” Aurianna exclaimed, attempting to lift Leila's spirits.

“We shall fight!” Aurianna and Leila declared simultaneously before turning to each other and bursting into laughter.

“So, we would get the skill as long as we stay alive facing Kisho and Dokjil?” Leila asked.

“Yes,” Gumura nodded.

“But I don't want to fight!” Kisho whined. “Why must I fight for ten years when I could be resting? I thought helping her with her poison magic was enough.”

“Don't be lazy, my dear student,” Gumura chided, coming closer to Kisho and patting him on the back.

“But…” Kisho began to protest further.

“No 'buts',” Gumura shook his head.

“What do I get then?” Kisho asked, rising to his feet and giving Gumura a serious look.

“I'll give you a Poison Heart!” Gumura promised, causing Kisho's eyes to widen.

“Poison Heart?” Kisho blurted out, surprised, and Gumura nodded.

“Master, I want one too!” Dokjil interjected, rushing to Kisho's side.

“I'll also give you one. It will help you both evolve,” Gumura said with a smile.

“Fine, I'll agree then!” Kisho yelled in frustration, but the thought of getting a Poison Heart immediately changed his mind.

“Excellent!” Gumura beamed happily, looking at everyone.

“Before we start, Eva, you have to agree that you would deactivate their revival blessing and give them a concept of death when they attempt foolish decisions,” Gumura stated, looking at the sci-fi tablet he held, displaying an image of Eva.

“Alright then,” Eva agreed with a nod before she snapped her fingers.

“I feel like I've lost something,” Aurianna mumbled, touching her chest, a hollow feeling settling in her heart.

“Me too,” Leila said, the unfamiliar sensation making her extremely uncomfortable.

“Well then, you girls are ready! Both of you would get a head start ahead of Kisho and Dokjil just to plan your attacks before they strike,” Gumura stated with a wink.

“Aurianna, you take the East; Leila, you take the West!” Gumura instructed, pointing in opposite directions.

“Aurianna, you're going the wrong way!” Leila yelled as Aurianna began walking north. A flush spread across Aurianna's face as she turned back and approached Gumura.

“What way is East again?” she asked.

“Follow my hand,” Gumura said, pointing to the East.

“Alright,” Aurianna nodded before dashing off.

After a while of running, Aurianna stopped at the desolate, dead city, filled with various skeletons, slimes, and poisonous fumes that polluted the air. Fortunately, due to her poison magic and poison resistance, she remained unaffected by it all.

“I think I've run far enough. It's been four hours. And I'm fighting Kisho. I need a way to defeat him,” she muttered to herself as she sat on a hovering gun, deep in thought.

“He's a level 10,000 monster, but is he strong enough? My sister was also level 10,000, but considering our race and his, there's a possibility that even if they are on the same level, the strength difference would be extremely large,” Aurianna reasoned.

“But for me, he's the stronger one here. And I can't die, so my goal would be to defend, hide, and survive for ten years. This is obviously a battle I can't win if I can't rely on reviving,” she grumbled.

“Now I'll just set up some bomb traps to slow him down. And I'll use all my skills at once to cause a massive explosion. He's a slime; he has to be flammable!” Aurianna determined, getting down from her hover gun.

“I'll set all my skills here at the moment. Once he steps here, I'll activate them!” she decided as she summoned a grenade into her hand.
