“How is this a good weapon?!” Aurianna wondered as she stared at the chains with disinterest.
“These are very good. The Cloud chains can attach to your sabers, making them easier to control and allowing you to retrieve your sabers quickly,” Eva explained with a confident smile. Aurianna, however, still gave her a doubtful gaze.
“Elizabeth can teach you how to use them. The best thing to do is explore how they work,” Eva added with a nod. Aurianna sighed.
“Well, the weapons you give aren't useless, so I'll trust you,” Aurianna said, summoning her crystal sabers. The chains automatically attached themselves to the sabers.
“Elizabeth, can you let them fight some monsters so they can evolve?” Eva asked, appearing before Elizabeth.
“I grant thee this. Yet, my heart remains unchanged towards thee.” Elizabeth said, glaring slightly at Eva with her arms crossed.
“I know, but I promise I'll fulfill a wish you desire,” Eva said with a cold smile.
“A wish? Thus, it is not any wish, correct?” Elizabeth sneered.
“There are limits to what wishes I can grant,” Eva responded.
“But be warned, if you want to go back to the real world, you would no longer be safe,” she said coldly, causing Elizabeth to feel a bit nervous.
“Humph!” Elizabeth huffed.
“Leila, you make weapons, right?” Aurianna asked.
“Yes, I do. I have a blacksmith class, after all,” Leila answered, still examining the weapon Eva had given her.
“Then can you make me a weapon for a mermaid?” Aurianna asked curiously.
“That mermaid you met?” Leila asked with a subtle smile.
“Ah, yes!” Aurianna answered, slightly embarrassed.
“I think I know the type of weapon that would fit her perfectly. She's a bard, after all. She needs a weapon that can help her utilize those skills,” Leila said, resting her chin on her hand. “I'll forge it for her. I'm sure she'll like it,” Leila agreed, and Aurianna perked up with a happy face.
“Thank you!” Aurianna beamed, hugging Leila. Leila blushed.
“Leila and Aurianna!” Elizabeth called.
“Yes, Elizabeth?” Aurianna and Leila responded, immediately getting up and standing straight.
‘These girls, they do learn with exceeding swiftness. Yea, too fast, if truth be told. It both daunts yet excites me!’ Elizabeth thought, a smile creeping onto her lips as she stared at the two girls with cold eyes.
“I’m going to give the girls monsters to kill. So I'll be taking them, Eva,” Elizabeth stated, staring at the mini Eva before her.
“Do as you please!” Eva shrugged before disappearing.
‘Carol and Kleizorn have been fighting for a while,’ Aurianna thought, noting that neither monster had returned since they challenged each other.
‘Well, they are both powerful monsters,’ Leila replied telepathically to Aurianna.
“Hmm, so Elizabeth, what are we fighting?” Aurianna asked curiously.
“You'll see,” Elizabeth said, jumping back a few meters.
“Blood bats,” Elizabeth announced as her wrists began to bleed, reforming into hundreds of humanoid bats.
The bats stood tall, up to seven meters. Their bodies were covered in fur, with strong, muscular builds as well as having sharp claws and no wings despite looking like bats. Their eyes glowed red, and their sharp, gruesome teeth added to their menacing appearance.
“Don't underestimate them. They are as strong as you,” Elizabeth warned.
“Now, use everything thou hasth taught you!” Elizabeth yelled. Her monsters immediately dashed towards Aurianna and Leila, roaring and destroying the trees and smaller monsters around them.

One of the bats jumped towards Aurianna, aiming to deliver a punch. Aurianna deflected the attack and pointed her revolver at its head.
Aurianna squeezed the trigger, and the revolver fired with a deafening bang. The bullet struck the blood bat’s head, causing it to stagger back with a roar of pain. Before it could recover, Aurianna swiftly fired more shots at its torso. Quickly killing the monster.
Leila, meanwhile, was fighting off against other blood bats. She wielded a large broadsword, and with a powerful swing, she smashed it into the side of several bats, sending it crashing into nearby trees causing a portion of the forest around them to collapse. The impact echoed through the forest, and the bat struggled to get up, disoriented by the blow.
Elizabeth watched from a distance, her cold eyes analyzing their every move. ‘They’ve truly improved,’ she thought, a hint of a smile playing on her lips.
Aurianna's eyes quickly evaluated the movements of the blood bats, looking for any unnatural motions that might reveal their weakness.
“Found it!” Aurianna declared in her mind as she noticed a squishy part beneath the blood bats' necks while dodging their attacks.
"Remember, every living thing has a weakness. Even you have a weakness, so you must protect it with your life," she recalled Elizabeth's words.

Aurianna got closer to one blood bat and shot the vulnerable spot on its neck, causing it to cough up blood but still stand its ground. It shattered the ground beneath it, aiming to grab her.
Aurianna dodged, spinning in the air, and did a drill kick into its side, piercing its hip. The monster burst into pieces.
Covered in dark red blood, she didn't care. She just stared at the horde before her and smirked.
‘I’ve found their weakness, so this will be much easier,’ Aurianna thought, dashing towards the monsters.
Her speed was too quick for the monsters to follow, and she summoned her sabers.
‘Eva said these things are good. I'll test that for myself!’ Aurianna thought, eyeing the Cloud chains on her sabers. She immediately threw them, and the sabers, as if having a will of their own, slashed the exact weak spots she targeted on twelve blood bats, causing them to screech in pain.
“Yes!” Aurianna cheered, looking around to see Leila killing more blood bats than her.
“I won't lose to Leila!” Aurianna told herself, landing on another blood bat and turning it to mush.
With a burst of speed, she charged at another bat, her sabers flashing. She cut through its arm, then its leg, before delivering a final, devastating blow to its head.
Before Aurianna could attack again, a blood bat surprised her from behind. She tried to use her sabers to defend herself, but she was thrown far off, watching as many blood bats followed her.
One descended fast from above, using its fist to crush her stomach and sending her crashing into the ground, creating a massive crater.
“Shit! Shit!” Aurianna cursed, bleeding all over.
She gritted her teeth and dodged the incoming attacks of the other blood bats, beginning to run as she healed herself.
The blood bats suddenly created weapons from their blood and dashed towards Aurianna, unleashing multiple slash attacks at her and cutting down the forest.
“I wonder how they are able to attack so recklessly. Aren't we on top of the body of a beast?” Aurianna asked as she defended against their slash attacks.
[ Yes, the Elden Beast. ] The system answered.
“Tch, come on, stupid monsters!” Aurianna yelled, summoning a bazooka into her hand and pointing it at the horde of Blood Bats. She poured all of her mana into it, and it blasted at the Blood Bats, creating a massive explosion that engulfed a large portion of them, turning them to ash. Aurianna had to run away to avoid being engulfed by the blast.
‘This is fun! But I guess I should be eating these Blood Bats as well. I want their strength and skills,’ Aurianna thought with a grin, turning around and dashing towards the Blood Bats.
‘But getting close to them and fighting in close combat is reckless,’ she thought as she narrowly dodged attacks from numerous bats. ‘I don't have defensive abilities like Leila. And she doesn't have many long-range attacks like me either.’
‘I know Elizabeth said I shouldn't fight recklessly. But how would I get to eat them if I don't get near them?’ she thought, her grin widening as her teeth sharpened, resembling those of a shark.
Aurianna dashed towards a new batch of incoming Blood Bats, attacking the napes of each one. She exchanged several blows with them before chomping on the neck of every bat that came close, ripping it off and swallowing their flesh.
“Sssreeeeecccccchhhhh!!” the monsters screeched, seeing their fellow bats being eaten. They became more cautious about Aurianna and decided to change their attack tactics.
Aurianna realized their fighting style had changed as she chewed on the arm of a Blood Bat, using some of them as bait while the stronger ones attempted to deal a massive blow to her.
“Ehh, afraid? That's excellent! Come at me, I'll eat you all to increase my strength!” Aurianna grinned, taking a stance and summoning a horde of guns behind her.
“Fire!!” she declared.
_______
After six years of nonstop fighting, Aurianna and Leila were in a cocoon-like state once again, slowly breathing inside. The cocoons were covered in a thick layer, preventing anyone from seeing through.
“Aurianna and Leila are Regal mutations, aren't they, system?” Eva asked as she sat near their cocoons in her normal form.
[ Yes, they are. ] The system answered calmly.
“Why didn't you tell me this?” Eva asked, raising an eyebrow as she looked at the screen before her.
[ I wasn't sure. ] It answered.
“You know Regals hate mixed bloods,” she stated coldly.
“Those bastards are terrifying!” She gritted her teeth as her body trembled and she gripped her arms.
“Archeons, Regal’s little minions in Chaos Realms. Aurianna was able to summon some,” Eva muttered, remembering seeing Gray Gemaris in a Chaos Realm when she was young, noting how different those Archeons looked compared to Aurianna and Leila’s.
“I guess every Regal has a different Chaos Realm,” she concluded with a slight chuckle.
“Singing Parade, maybe as much as I hate Regals, teaching their skills to Aurianna and Leila wouldn't be a bad idea,” she mumbled, staring at Aurianna and Leila with mixed emotions.
“Regals are powerful, after all. But a mutation... They could both lose their minds. Regals are bloodthirsty and lack any form of morality. And their Gemaris is the Gemaris of peace. Doesn't this conflict badly?” Eva wondered with a confused expression.
“Half Regal, half Gemaris,” Eva blurted out.
“Gemaris are similar to Regals. Just that Regals seek to destroy because they were false creation prototypes. Yet they managed to kill most of the Gemaris race, or the Gemaris race collapsed because they ruined themselves,” Eva said with a disappointed tone.
[ So what would you do? ] The system asked curiously.
“I don't care if they are half Regals. More skills for them, I guess. I can teach them [ Chaotic Skies ]. It was used by those twin bastard Regals, but it's a very powerful skill,” Eva mumbled with a frown as she remembered those two twin Regals she killed.
“Their skills would definitely fit Aurianna and Leila. And Chaos Consumption, but I'm sure they have that already. The feeling of never being satisfied, so they must eat and eat. A gluttonous skill.”
“And Chaos Angels—they can create those too. But would their powers be amplified or reduced since they are half of each race?” Eva wondered.
“What can Regals really do? They can do so much—create and destroy worlds, create beings of their own. They're mainly the managers of the dimensions now, and they despise any halfling in their race and would kill them. But this is good for them. They could really reach their goal of being level 10,000 in less time than I expected,” Eva said with an evil grin.
“And with those black chains, I think I finally understand them.”
[ Hmm? ]
“You're the system. I expected you to know this,” Eva said, staring at the screen.
[ I don't know everything. ( ╹▽╹ ) ] The system answered plainly.
“Lazy cocoon!” Eva spat, shaking her head.
“The black chains are their mother’s and sister’s at the same time,” she said confidently.
“From the dreams Leila and Aurianna told me about, I can assume that the former Black Gemaris was their mother, but her title and Gemaris were transferred to Iris since that is her child. Iris is another mutation created by her mother as well. This is just speculation, though,” Eva said as she floated around, her hand on her chin.
“And from the story you told me about how the Gemaris world collapsed, it was Black Gemaris who orchestrated it all. So then it could be that she wanted to use her daughters as a way to regain her lost powers, cultivating the gems in them.”
“Aurianna and Leila ended up as failures in her eyes, but Iris was a success. Too much of a success,” Eva said with a frown.
“The chains were meant to slowly kill Aurianna and Leila. But Iris's blood and powers got mixed into it. So it protects them from the soul of the former White Gemaris as well as the Regal mutation. Now the chains only restrict their full potential.”
“Is Iris really the enemy?” Eva asked, staring at the system.
[ Unfortunately, she is. ]
“How do you know?” Eva wondered with a doubtful gaze.
[ My other half is connected to her as well. ]
Hearing the system’s words, Eva’s eyes widened in surprise before she composed herself. “I see.”
[ She's not the enemy to her sisters, but her second personality is. ]
“Second personality?” Eva wondered.
[ Multiple personality disorder. ]
[ She may look cold and cowardly in these images, but her second personality is ruthless and insane. I'd say we are lucky since she's killing most of the Regals and has started a war with them. ] the system stated, displaying images of Iris. She looked like a teenager, but her purple and black eyes made Eva feel like she was staring into a black hole, causing her to stagger a bit.
“What? She started a war?!” Eva gasped.
[ Yes, now all Regals are alert about her. ]
“If she's that powerful, she could be watching us right now,” Eva mumbled, feeling nervous just thinking about it.
[ She could. After all, she has Dimensional Knowledge. ]
“What? How?!” Eva exclaimed in shock.
