Chapter 203: Shining Star

Chapter 203: Shining Star

‘I feel my powers coming back. That means that bastard is losing focus. Excellent!’ Aurianna thought with a grin.

“She removed my ropes! No, no, it's not possible! She can't overpower me—this is my domain, I'm infinite in this domain I shall not submit!” the voice shouted in frustration.

“Kneel!” Aurianna commanded coldly, her gaze fixed on the sky.

‘My body?!’ Shining Star gasped, feeling his body tremble just from hearing her voice.

“I refuse! Die, die, die!” Shining Star screamed as thousands of rainbow-colored circles appeared in the sky, with an enormous star-shaped one in the center.

“Kill her! Rain down and burn her to ashes!” he yelled. Aurianna dashed around, dodging the attacks. She then punched the sky again at a different spot, causing an even larger crack than before and making the domain tremble.

“So, this is Shining Star’s power,” Aurianna mused, watching the massive beam in the sky heading her way with excitement. The beam rained down on her, evaporating everything within a 2000-kilometer radius, leaving a hollow hole in the ground.

“She’s dead! I win! I won against a Gemaris. I’ll now have the power of a Gemaris. Shining Star! Ahahahahahaha!” Shining Star laughed triumphantly.

“Your voice pissed me off. I’ve finally found where your body is,” Aurianna stated coldly as her body reformed, shocking Shining Star.

Aurianna twisted her hand, and the entire space shattered, revealing a distant being with a head composed of seven floating rainbow hoops. Two eyes floated in the middle along with a mouth. His humanoid body was clad in a long black coat.

“My space…” he blurted out in shock and despair, collapsing to the ground.

“How dare you?! Do you know who I am? I am the great Shining Star! My power shall only be given to the Regals worthy of me, not a Gemaris! I’ll never concede, and you can’t kill me because I’m immortal like you!” he declared arrogantly, trying to compose himself.

“No matter what you do, my existence can never be erased!”

“Shut the fuck up,” Aurianna said coldly, annoyed by Shining Star’s blabbering.

“What?!” he gasped, feeling offended.

“You heard me. You talk too much. Let’s get this over with so I can spend more time with Leila. I’m not wasting precious time chatting with you,” Aurianna stated with an annoyed tone, cracking her neck.

“You arrogant brat!” Shining Star yelled, the dark area around him flaring with a bright rainbow light.

“Die!” Shining Star roared in rage, his body burning bright as several rainbow-colored spears pierced Aurianna’s body. However, her body healed rapidly, continuously healing itself at an incredible pace.

"Ahh, these spears—how lovely. A power that can slowly devolve my soul when I'm attacked. How interesting," Aurianna mused with an evil smile as she gripped one of the spears. She spun the spear around and appeared before Shining Star in an instant.

"I'll eat you and obtain your power," Aurianna declared, pointing the spear at Shining Star’s head.

"Arrogant Gemaris, perish!" Shining Star yelled angrily, distancing himself as his body crackled with rainbow lightning. His Shining Star skill activated, causing twinkling stars to appear around them. They all fired at Aurianna, who continuously revived each time she was killed.

"This infinite world you created... doesn’t it mean I'm infinite as well?" Aurianna asked, watching Shining Star’s face turn pale, confirming her suspicion.

"Auras Sogen," Aurianna stated with a cold smile as she floated in the air. With a flick of her hand, hundreds of thousands of various types of guns formed behind her, all aimed at Shining Star. Her pupils turned the color of a rainbow, as did her weapons, and she stared down at Shining Star with a devilish expression.

"No, no! I won't lose!!" Shining Star yelled, summoning hundreds of thousands of magic circles around him. They both unleashed their powers, causing massive explosions in the void. Shining Star grew increasingly anxious and nervous.

"You lose," Aurianna stated coldly with an evil smile, revealing her sharp teeth as she appeared before Shining Star.

"Wait, wait! We can discuss this. I'm willing to become your servant. If you consume me, your Regal powers would go berserk!" Shining Star pleaded, hoping to buy some time. ‘This brat is a monster!’

"I'll test that theory myself!" Aurianna declared coldly. Her body transformed into a huge blob filled with sharp teeth, devouring Shining Star before returning back to her human form.

"Now, let me test the true potential of Shining Star!" Aurianna proclaimed as rainbow streaks began to grow on her body. "Let me remember how he did it," she said calmly as her mana raged. A large four pointed star-like tattoo appeared on her right hand, and a rainbow-colored crown shone brightly on her head.

"Shining Star," Aurianna declared, and a rainbow-colored orb materialized before her. The orb twisted and turned into a ball of spikes, flew high into the void, and was surrounded by thousands of rainbow-colored circles. They wheeled around in the sky before crashing down as a beam creating an explosion, wiping out everything.

Aurianna watched intently, observing how far and deep the effects of the explosion reached. The explosion reverberated through the void, its light fading slowly and Aurianna nodded satisfied by the result.

"Ahhhh, what a beautiful skill," Aurianna mused, a dark smile playing on her lips. "I can easily wipe Sandeph off the map with this power."

"Hey, Shining Star, I know you're still alive. Stop hiding and come out," she declared coldly. In response, the orb transformed into a crystal figure of a man with long curly hair and piercing eyes, wearing a coat, as he was glaring at her angrily.

"You know I'll always have a chance to kill you, right? Our battle isn't over!" Shining Star retorted.

"If you can fight, then fight. Let's continue," Aurianna responded icily. She smirked when he didn't move. "Ehhh, you can't?" she mocked, watching as his crystalline body turned pink with embarrassment.

"You're unable to attack me since I've officially been recognized as your master. Quite the pathetic little runt you are," Aurianna chuckled.

"Watch your mouth, child! I'm a hundred thousand years older than you!" Shining Star snapped coldly.

"I honestly don't give a damn. So shut up," Aurianna shot back, her rainbow-coloured eyes glaring down at him.

"Yes, ma'am," he replied, looking dejected.

"So what exactly are you?" Aurianna asked curiously.

"Huh, I thought you would know that!" Shining Star looked at her with surprise.

"I don't. Eva just threw me here, I guess," Aurianna replied nonchalantly with a shrug.

"You don't know what a blessed weapon is?" Shining Star stared at her in shock. ‘Then what did she fight me for???’

"Explain it," Aurianna commanded.

"Basically, I've become something like a soul weapon. I'm the strongest weapon you can ever wield. So you should be grateful, lowly Gemaris!" Shining Star declared arrogantly, raising his nose high.

"I see, so that's what you are," Aurianna said, eyeing him suspiciously. "Why couldn't you be a gun?" she blurted out, feeling annoyed.

"I'm not a gun Shining Star! But a magic orb Shining Star!" he retorted.

"Then where's the gun one? I prefer that over a useless orb," Aurianna scoffed, and Shining Star glared at her, clearly annoyed.

"Weren't you praising my power just a few minutes ago?!"

"Useless," Aurianna clicked her tongue, crossing her arms.

‘Ahh, this brat!!’ Shining Star thought, fuming internally.

“You can only have one shining star,” Shining Star stated.

“Are you telling me the truth?” Aurianna asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Would it be possible for me to lie to my new master?” Shining Star sneered.

“Humph. Then how can I get a gun-blessed weapon?” Aurianna asked.

“You just turn a being into one. However, they must be extremely close to you and strong enough to become a powerful blessed weapon. And they must be specialized in guns,” Shining Star explained, and Aurianna nodded.

“Oddly specific,” she blurted out.

“How annoying. I guess I can wait,” Aurianna sighed. “So let's leave. I have to get back.”

“Humph,” Shining Star huffed before snapping his fingers, and they disappeared.

Aurianna and Leila soon woke up at the same time, both with dejected looks on their faces.

“Did you girls get it?” Eva asked, feeling nervous.

“We did, but all I got was some arrogant prick,” Aurianna complained.

“And I got a yapper. He just won't stop talking, ugh,” Leila added with a more dejected expression.

“Also, you two know that you now have a crown on your head, right?” Carol pointed out. Aurianna and Leila reached for the top of their heads to feel a crown floating above them.

“Ehhh, it stayed???” they both gasped, turning to each other and pointing at each other's crowns.

“Why? Did you expect it to disappear or something?” Shining Star suddenly spoke out as an orb appearing before Aurianna.

“Of course we did!” Aurianna and Leila yelled.

“Well, it won't. It's going to stick with you!” Suddenly, a flame of ash appeared before them and spoke in a very deep voice.

“Make it disappear! I can't be seen walking around with a crown on my head. That's blasphemy to my Queen!” Leila yelled in frustration as she tried to pull the crown off, but no matter how much strength she used, it didn't budge.

“We can't make it disappear, and neither can you. It's part of you two now and has even boosted your stats!” the ash Shining Star stated excitedly.

“Hey Leila, this is crazy, right?” Aurianna blurted out in shock as she stared at her stats on the system screen before her, since she was curious about what the ash Shining star meant and she was left in shock.

“Yes, it is. Our levels are matching,” Leila blurted out, equally surprised.

“Level 6000!”

“This is a bit strange,” Aurianna gasped.

“Actually, it's not,” Eva responded.

“Eva,” they both called out as she stood beside them.

“These Shining Stars are weapons limited to the most powerful of Regals. They aren't mere beings. As long as someone is a Regal, they can be tested to see if they can tame a Shining Star,” Eva stated as she picked up both Shining Stars and closely examined them. “But most Regals who go through their trials fail and die.”

“So what happens to the Shining Stars who get chosen?” Leila asked curiously.

“We obviously follow our masters and obey their every command,” the ash Shining Star stated.

“And if your masters die?” Aurianna asked, raising an eyebrow.

“We look for a new owner, but I doubt that would be possible now,” Leila's Shining Star stated.

“What do you mean, Shining Star?” Aurianna's Shining Star asked in shock, his body twisting into spikes.

“Call me Dane. That's what Leila named me,” Dane stated before transforming into a humanoid form, his entire body the color of ash, with fiery red eyes and he wore a long coat like dress.

“My master couldn't even think to give me a name!” Shining Star scoffed, standing tall in a long dress resembling that of the clothes Greek gods wore.

“I didn't even want you anyway,” Aurianna scoffed, scratching her ear.

“You…” Shining Star seethed, glaring at Aurianna as his body turned red.

“Dane, can you continue what you were trying to say?” Eva asked, ignoring Aurianna and Shining Star's bickering.

“Basically, I'm saying that because of their race, being a Regal and a Gemaris, we are somehow bound to them. If they die, we die,” Dane said calmly.

“I don't want to die with her,” Shining Star scoffed, pointing at Aurianna.

“Shut up! Because of that, I'll name you Gixo!” Aurianna declared, sticking her tongue out at him.

“What kind of name is that?” Gixo asked, flabbergasted.

“Chi, chi, that's payback!” Aurianna laughed with a cocky smile.

“You wicked, wicked child!” Gixo yelled.

“Pffttt, Gixo,” Dane laughed lightly, causing angry veins to pop up on Gixo’s face.

“Well, the next trial will happen soon, so I would like to be ready!” Aurianna said, getting off the bed and stretching.

“Hmm, then it's better you two test out your Shining Stars,” Kleizorn suggested as he fidgeted with Aurianna's crown like a curious spider.

“Hmm, I want to see Leila's first,” Aurianna said, eyeing Dane, curious about the kind of Shining Star Leila obtained.

“Then I shall go first,” Leila stated. Dane floated into her hand, and the beds beside them disappeared.

“Let's all distance ourselves,” Carol suggested, jumping back along with Kleizorn and Elizabeth.

Eva floated and watched patiently while Aurianna stood next to Carol.

Carol suddenly screeched loudly, her voice causing the whole area to tremble.

At first, there was dead silence, but a few minutes later, a horde of monsters began to rush toward Leila's direction—more than a hundred thousand of them, as though they were being controlled.

“Dane, burning ash,” Leila said calmly. As the monsters rushed towards her, Dane’s body dispersed into particles. Once he touched the monsters' bodies, they immediately turned to ash, killing the horde instantly. Within a minute, Dane's body reformed back into a flame of ash and then into his humanoid form.

“Your turn, Aurianna. Should we use this as a way to spar since we now have equal levels?” Leila suggested with a smile.

“I doubt my skills would match yours, but I'd be willing to try, dear sister,” Aurianna said with a grin.

“I guess we should give you two space then,” Carol sighed before flying far away to the edge of the forest, followed by Kleizorn and Elizabeth, leaving Aurianna and Leila in the open land.

“Carol, who do you think shall win?” Elizabeth asked coldly.

“Hmm, they are both on the same level, so it’s hard to decide. We just have to watch,” Carol shrugged and quietly observed them.

“Auras Sogen!!!” Aurianna summoned, as a horde of thousands of different types of guns appeared around her. Leila, however, simply drew her large broadsword and stared at Aurianna before dashing towards her. Aurianna's guns fired immediately, but Leila managed to resist the explosive attacks, dragon scales covering her body.

Suddenly, a white flame condensed in Leila's mouth. Aurianna immediately teleported far away, witnessing Leila release her breath attack, which destroyed all of her guns.

The flames then twisted and morphed into several dragons with no eyes but extremely large, human-like mouths.

“Chaotic flame dragons, go,” Leila ordered. One hundred massive flame dragons dashed toward Aurianna, their mouths agape. Some breathed blast attacks, which were defended by Aurianna's shield.

“Phantasma, Babylonia!” Aurianna activated two skills. A larger shield appeared around her along with three hundred beam guns that blasted lasers at the dragons. Even though the dragons lost body parts, they regenerated almost instantly.

Two hundred more guns then appeared in the sky, held by massive hands within a five-kilometer radius. These guns appeared with half of their bodies, hollow eyes, and halos on their heads, making them look like angels.

They all pressed their triggers and fired at the dragons, which flew to bite off the bodies of Babylonia as their new targets. After a while of roars and blasts, there was silence and smoke. Only three dragons were left, struggling to stand, and twenty of Babylonia remained, bleeding black blood and broken.

Both the dragons and Babylonia struggled to move. Aurianna and Leila snapped their fingers, making their skills disappear, leaving behind a desolate land extending for several kilometers. Aurianna and Leila stood several kilometers away from each other.

“She’s good,” they both thought with a subtle smile.

“Death Lotus,” Aurianna said calmly as a white lotus appeared in her hand.

“Domain of a Screaming Soul,” Leila said calmly as a shrine appeared in her hand.

Aurianna and Leila then unleashed their skills once more, smashing them into the ground. Beneath Aurianna, a giant white lotus filled with skulls emerged, shattering. The skulls then shot out from the ground, forming hundreds of thousands of skeleton soldiers with white flowers growing on their armor. They had many-eaten plants for their heads and all turned towards Leila.

For Leila, her skill appeared above her, and the entire area around them turned blood red as if they were in another realm.
