“Humph, thy husband is the best at his worth, so I shall indulge thyself,” Elizabeth declared proudly.
“Chi, chi, chi, lalalala! You guys are so funny!” Aurianna laughed heartily.
“Darest thou dare to laugh me?” Elizabeth demanded angrily.
“Carol, I accept your proposal. We'll have a rematch,” Kleizorn said, appearing before her. Carol grinned.
“Excellent. This time, I won't make the same mistakes. I refuse to believe I could be defeated by a mere spider!” Carol said, her face twisted with fury as she stared at Kleizorn. As they locked eyes, their auras began to leak, engulfing the whole area.
Aurianna and Leila stood frozen, their bodies trembling as they watched these two monsters display their power.
“Heh, you underestimate me too much, Carol dear,” Kleizorn chuckled, his eyes narrowing.
“Elizabeth, handle these children. Carol and I will fight elsewhere,” Kleizorn instructed. Elizabeth pouted with a cold expression but reluctantly agreed with a silent nod.
“Alright, honey!” Elizabeth said enthusiastically before letting go of Kleizorn and watching him disappear with Carol.
Once her husband was gone, Elizabeth's face became even colder as she stared at Aurianna and Leila.
“Verily, do yee two desire to learn the art of combat from my own hand??” Elizabeth asked, standing elegantly.
“Yes!” Aurianna and Leila declared in unison, their voices filled with determination.
“Art thou certain? For I shall not hesitate to kill thee,” Elizabeth said with a cold smile that sent shivers down Aurianna and Leila's spines.
“Don't worry, we have a revive skill!” Aurianna assured her with a thumbs up.
“I wouldn't rely on that too much if you're fighting me,” Elizabeth chuckled. “Then we start now!” she declared, dashing towards Aurianna. Unable to react quickly, Aurianna was hit with a crushing punch to her gut, creating a hole in her body in the span of a second.
Elizabeth then vanished and reappeared in front of Leila, delivering a fast kick to her gut. The two girls flew backwards for several kilometers, crashing through trees and finally hitting the hard ground, breaking several bones.
‘What the hell? I could barely see her!’ Aurianna thought, her eyes wide with shock as she stared at her gaping wound. Her crystal arms had shattered, and her legs were broken as well.
Both girls watched as Elizabeth landed between them, causing the ground to shatter around them, further destabilizing their balance.
Aurianna and Leila quickly tried to regain their balance as they healed their wounds and summoned their weapons into their hands.
‘This is a monster,’ Aurianna thought with a grin as she stared at Elizabeth, who was approaching them, emanating a sickening red aura. The aura was so powerful that Aurianna and Leila could barely move.
The trees around them collapsed, and the animals trembled in fear, while others died, unable to withstand the pressure of Elizabeth's aura. Even Aurianna and Leila suffered the side effects, their eyes, noses, and mouths bleeding heavily.
“I shall not extend the same leniency as Carol. I am only doing this because of my husband; otherwise, I would not deign to spare a thought of training mere humans,” Elizabeth pat coldly.
“That’s fine!” Aurianna declared with determination, gripping her blades with her crystal hands.
“Come on!” Leila yelled, her sword glowing as she dashed toward Elizabeth, with Aurianna following closely behind.
Aurianna twirled around to land a spinning kick at Elizabeth's side while aiming her guns at the vampire, and Leila's broad sword came down from above.
However, Elizabeth easily dodged their attacks and appeared behind them. She then flicked her fingers at their necks, shattering them and causing their heads to explode.
[You died.] Aurianna and Leila received the notification as their bodies reformed.
“Ye both possess too many opening and vulnerable spots, rendering thee susceptible to attacks from any skilled adversary.,” Elizabeth said calmly as Aurianna and Leila rushed toward her again.
"When thou dost attack, thou must train to ensure thy foe discerns no weakness or vulnerability,” Elizabeth advised as she effortlessly dodged Aurianna and Leila's multiple attacks. She struck Aurianna in the heart and did the same to Leila before kicking their bodies away, sending them crashing into multiple trees and rocks.
Reviving again, Aurianna and Leila decided to change their strategy.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
Leila took a deep breath and used her dragon's breath skill on Elizabeth, burning the whole place as well as the forest, making it a flaming inferno, but it had no effect. Aurianna followed up with a spinning drill-like kick, but upon contact with Elizabeth's body, she couldn't even make a scratch and was countered with a palm strike, blasting her to mush.
“Thy spinning kick lacks refinement. The force behind thy strikes is weak, and thy breath skills are lacking in skill greately!” Elizabeth pointed out before switching to use her legs to counter Aurianna's kick attacks.
"And you, Leila girl, your sword skills are abysmal! By the heavens, who taught thee to wield a broadsword??!!" Elizabeth's voice thundered as she wrested Leila's weapon from her grip, wielding it with precision against both Leila and Aurianna, slashing through them effortlessly with that same weapon.
"She's relentless," Aurianna muttered, eyeing Elizabeth, who remained neatly dressed amidst the chaos she made. The terrain for kilometers around was ravaged, scarred by slashes, kicks, and blasts.
"Come at me again!" Elizabeth commanded, bracing herself as Aurianna and Leila launched into another barrage of attacks, each met with a counter more skilled and devastating than the last.
"Your kicks are horrible!" Elizabeth barked, mimicking Aurianna's technique before countering with her own. "And your punches? Sloppy!" Her fists found their mark on Leila with a better fist skill.
"Cease thy wild biting like a dog! And use it better like this!!!" Elizabeth admonished, sinking her teeth into Aurianna's flesh, demonstrating a more better usage that does the most damage.
"Who instructed thee in bladeplay? Is this the zenith of thy skill?! This is pitiful! Watch and learn!" Elizabeth berated, effortlessly deflecting Aurianna's blades by creating her own blood blades and countering them.
Elizabeth constantly yelled at them for every error they made relentlessly, correcting their mistakes, teaching her lessons until they were etched into the girl’s muscle memory. Resting was a luxury, granted only when she saw fit or when her mysterious children required her attention.
"Forty years and not a single successful attack," Aurianna lamented beside the fire, roasting a Goigler.
"True, but our skills have grown immensely," Leila mused also seated.
"I can hold my own against anyone I have fought in the past now," Aurianna reflected with a grin, tearing a piece of the Goigler leg and chewing on it. "Thanks to Elizabeth's training."
"It's a shame leveling up is so slow. I'm only at 4,798 now," Aurianna sighed. "But my stats and skills are improving, at least.”
“Definitely the seal,” Leila concluded.
“Oh, I completely forgot about that. It's frustrating because I used to have such a good memory!” Aurianna exclaimed, irritation evident as she finished the meat on the roasted leg. “I want that woman out!”
“I think the most effective way to remove her is to consume more souls. She's starting to interfere with my memory as well,” Leila suggested with a frown.
“How many chains have you managed to break so far?” Leila suddenly inquired.
“Well, 2 from the war,” Aurianna counted on her fingers.
“Then 6 chains shattered after the battle with that Grand Human when I was in the Leviathan,” she added, followed by a contemplative hum for a moment before saying, “Lastly, 3 more shattered from consuming souls in this place. It seems some souls here are intelligent,” she mused, rubbing her chin.
“So, how many chains have I broken so far? Is it 11?” Aurianna declared with a nod.
“Only 11 chains so far? It means we need a few more to evolve. I'll assume 4 more chains, because the first time we evolved, I think the chains helped trigger that,” Leila reasoned, and Aurianna listened intently.
“We have a new body evolution available: the Sand Body,” Leila mentioned before chewing on some meat.
“Sand body?” Aurianna asked, looking confused. Leila stared at her with a blank expression, but understanding the reason why, she sighed.
“After the Liquid body evolution, we have the Sand body,” Leila clarified.
“Yes, Leila is right!” Eva's voice rang out as a chibi version of her appeared before Aurianna and Leila.
“Eva!” they both exclaimed.
“There are 8 stages a Gemaris goes through, which include the Liquid body, Sand body, Stone body, Iron body, Astral body, Crystal body, Gem body, and finally, the Diamond body. I remember mentioning this already, but since your memories are getting fuzzy, I'll say it again,” Eva stated calmly.
“So, your next evolution would happen once Aurianna reaches level 5000,” Eva stated with a nod.
“Leila, what's your level?” Aurianna asked curiously.
“5,634,” Leila answered promptly.
“So, if we kill monsters now, can we evolve?” Aurianna asked, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Eva.
“I suppose so,” Eva shrugged.
“Are you guys done?” Elizabeth asked with an annoyed tone.
“Not really,” they all replied bluntly.
“I really need to evolve because I don't know what can happen in the Ruin,” Aurianna stated nervously.
“Also, Aurianna, since you weren't able to celebrate our 26th birthday,” Leila said, pulling out an ugly-looking cake from her inventory, looking a bit embarrassed.
“Oh, has it been a year already?” Aurianna remarked, feeling a bit strange.
“Well, technically I'm 11, but actually I am 26, and adding the years spent here... wouldn't that make me an old lady?!” Aurianna exclaimed, clutching her hair in shock.
“You're overthinking it,” Leila said nervously, still holding the cake.
“Leila, did you make this for me?” Aurianna asked curiously.
“Yes...” Leila replied bashfully.
“It looks... um, ugly,” Aurianna said with a disappointed expression.
“Cooking isn't my specialty, okay!” Leila yelled in frustration.
Despite her critical words, Aurianna accepted the cake and ate it all.
“Thank you, Leila, and happy birthday to you too!” Aurianna declared with a small smile, picking out a cake better looking cake from hee inventory and handing it to Leila and they both bursted into laughter.
“Ahem!” Eva coughed, diverting Aurianna and Leila's attention to her. “Well, I have a small gift for you both!” she declared proudly.
“Oh, what gift?” Aurianna and Leila asked simultaneously.
"I am being wholly ignored, like a silent ghost," Elizabeth muttered, feeling the cold wind blow.
“Leila, here's a Soul Surfer,” Eva said, snapping her fingers. Before Leila appeared a blade-like board, golden in color, which separated into multiple blades before joining back together into a board.
Leila reached out to touch the end and was immediately cut by it, her blood swiping into it, causing it to glow brightly.
“It has recognized you as its master. Use it well,” Eva said with a smile.
“Thank you so much, Eva!” Leila said happily, hugging mini Eva.
“Hey, Eva, what about mine?” Aurianna asked, squinting her eyes at Eva.
Eva got down from Leila and pulled something from her space, causing Aurianna's face to brighten in excitement, “Here are the Cloud Chains,” Eva stated, handing Aurianna a pair of long gray chains.
Aurianna's expression turned to one of disappointment, staring at the two chains in her hands, and she let out a heavy sigh.
“Hey, hey, cut that out with the sighing! Those two are very strong weapons!” Eva exclaimed, pulling Aurianna's cheeks.
