Chapter 650

Chapter 650:

“Would you like to see fireworks again?” he asked, his voice a soft murmur.

Allison considered it for a moment, then sighed lightly. “Of course, but it seems unlikely right now.” After all, it was daytime, and where would the fireworks come from?

But Kellan’s eyes sparkled with a hint of mischief. “Let’s do it today,” he said, his voice steady, as if he were suggesting the most ordinary of plans.

Allison raised an eyebrow, half convinced he was teasing her. But when he stood up and extended his hand, she set down her coffee, curiosity getting the better of her, and followed him. They headed to the top floor, where he called out to Jim, “Jim, open up the room.”

“Right away, sir!” Jim responded with a broad grin, clearly delighted by the sight of Kellan and Allison together. “I’ll get everything set up immediately!”

As Jim hurried off, Allison couldn’t hide her curiosity. “But it’s the middle of the day. How are we supposed to see fireworks?” she mused, her brow furrowed in confusion. She knew well enough that fireworks could be launched during the day, but they’d never be as dazzling under the bright sun.noveldrama

Kellan simply smiled, his fingers interlacing with hers as he guided her up a spiral staircase that led to the rooftop. “As long as it’s something you wish for, I’ll make it happen,” he assured her, his voice warm with promise.

Kellan and Allison stepped into the expansive room on the top floor, the largest in the entire building.

“It’s quite spacious,” Allison observed, her eyes sweeping across the space.

Everything was meticulously designed in a monochrome palette. The sleek, black TV wall and sofa, paired with varying shades of gray in the carpet, created a minimalist yet sophisticated atmosphere. Cabinets dotted here and there added accents of white, completing the modern aesthetic. It felt distinctly like Kellan—cool, distant, and meticulously composed.

There was a certain detachment to him, but she knew that once his walls came down, it was easy to get lost in the depths of his passion.

Kellan moved to a control panel and pressed a button. Instantly, the smart home system whirred to life. The heavy curtains slid open, flooding the room with light, while the sofa adjusted itself, transforming into a plush recliner big enough for two. Turning to her, he reached out to gently cover her eyes. “Allison, let’s keep the surprise until the last moment,” he murmured, a playful edge to his voice.

She chuckled softly, unable to resist teasing him. “Sure. I’m intrigued to see what magic you have in store for a daytime fireworks display.”

She let him guide her by the wrist, and together they sank into the plush recliner, soft and inviting.

Allison was now nestled comfortably in Kellan’s embrace, and her eyes were gently covered by his hand. Though her vision was dark, the familiar scent of cedar surrounded her, soothing her senses and easing her into a rare sense of calm.

“How am I supposed to see anything with my eyes closed?” Allison teased lightly.

“Just a minute,” Kellan’s deep, velvety voice replied.
