After saying that, Gideon's energy was spent. He gradually lowered his arm, the phone slipping out of his hands. He clutched at his chest, staring at the wound as if it were a portal to the afterlife. After goodness knows how long, he closed his eyes. When he opened them again, he was blinded by the bright lights of the surgical ward. He squinted.
He turned his head slightly, seeing an old man with a head of white hair next to him. He was dressed in a white coat and was taking off his gloves.
Gideon wanted to call out to him, but he could only manage a whispering croak. "Mr. Miller..."
Barrett Miller glanced at Gideon. "If I hadn't come in time, you would have been dead by now. Who dares to provoke the Genesis Sect in this way? Does he have a death wish?"
Gideon's lips and mouth were dry. He licked his lips and said, "I only know that one of them is called Silas Solomon. Silas would know what the other man is called.
"When you left, sir, you said you were going to find someone called Matthew Grant. You said his medical skills were good enough to be part of Genesis Sect. Have you found him?"
Barrett shook his head. "I just learned where he worked. That was when you called. Don't talk for now and just tend to your wounds."
Meanwhile, in Wealthwave Group, Matthew and Silas took the elevator ride up. Silas was quiet as if pondering something.
Matthew could guess what was on Silas' mind. "Do you like the Genesis Sect's medical theory?"
Silas hesitated and nodded. "Since young, I always wondered why traditional medicine and modern medicine never crossed paths or attempted to work together. Even if they had different beliefs, one could support the other. "When I was a kid, I always thought that the medicines we got when we had the flu were to treat the virus. But, eventually, I learned that flus go away on their own. Our bodies can fight the virus naturally.
"Traditional medicine boosts the immune system and accelerates the recovery process. On the other hand, modern medicine deals with the symptoms and gets rid of the bacteria.
"Why can't modern medicine simply be a way to support traditional medicine?"

Matthew cast a second glance at Silas. He wasn't expecting that opinion from him. "I don't know what your mentor taught you, but my mentor would tell me stories that showed me miraculous medical procedures.
"When my interest was piqued, he started teaching modern medicine instead and talked about the modern theories. After that, he compared it with the traditional theories.
"Then, he explained what every organ in our bodies did, as well as all the acupuncture points.
"The truth is, anything goes as long as it treats patients. You can research it if you want. You can also join the Genesis Sect if you want.
"You're an adult who can make your own decisions. I'm just someone who had the lucky opportunity to know you. I have no right to dictate what you do."
Silas thought of Gideon, and fear flashed in his eyes. "They seem a little crazy in the Gugleni Sect. They're too far gone. Can we just do our own research and combine both traditional and modern medicine?"
Matthew suddenly remembered his
own research on telomeres. "You
né
can try it if you want. I just happen to have a topic in mind. It's about telomeres. You research modern medicine with traditional medicine backing you up. You can even do your own research."
real?
Was that for real? Silas didn't know that this was possible. "Maybe that wouldn't be the best thing to do. It would use up a lot of money. You're not well off either. All the money you spend is from your girlfriend Would she agree to it?"
Matthew didn't want to provide an in-depth explanation. He patted his chest and said, "Don't worry. You've got me around."
Silas exclaimed, "How did you manage to find such a rich girlfriend?
"When I was at my lowest laying by the roadside, I'd see girls on the street and imagine that one of the rich ones would take care of me. But that never happened. How did you do it?"
