"I didn't drink."
"Still lying?" Qin Feng's voice grew deeper, "Which floor are you on?"
"The fifth floor."
"Stay where you are, I'll come find you."
Lin Fan hung up the phone and squinted, leaning against the wall. Xu Wenzhi finally got up, feeling both ashamed and angry but didn't know how to express it. "I was just trying to tell you the restroom is this way. Why are you so unreasonable?"
Lin Fan looked up, "Huh?"
Xu Wenzhi pointed to the sign overhead, "Over here. I've seen you circle around a few times." Rubbing his head, he couldn't hold back his frustration, "So ungrateful."
He turned and walked quickly back to their room, spotting a tall man striding in. The man's steps were brisk and commanding; he took a second glance and realized it was the same guy holding Lin Fan's hand yesterday.
Qin Feng found Lin Fan quickly. He lifted her flushed face, suppressing his temper, "Who let you drink?"
"Lei Xiaojia," Lin Fan obediently tilted her face up, "I need to use the restroom."
Qin Feng's anger dissipated, unsure what to do with her. Lin Fan would inevitably grow up; she had her social circles, and Qin Feng couldn't keep her sheltered forever.
He looked straight at Lin Fan, silent.
Lin Fan cautiously reached out and tugged his sleeve, whispering in his ear, "I can't hold it anymore, take me there."
The scent of the girl mixed with the smell of alcohol hit him, making his head buzz. Damn it! He grabbed her and found the restroom, her steps unsteady. "This place is like a maze, so annoying."
Qin Feng found the restroom and pushed her in, "Call me if you need anything."
Lin Fan wobbled in, and Qin Feng stood a short distance away, lighting a cigarette. Soon, Lin Fan came out, still red-faced. Qin Feng extinguished the cigarette, lifted her into his arms, and strode towards the exit.
Lin Fan buried her face in his chest, "Put me down, I don't want my classmates to see."
Qin Feng coldly said, "Am I that embarrassing?"
Lin Fan looked up at his chin, thinking of something, and suddenly giggled, "I really like you; you're so good-looking."
"How much did you drink?"
"One bottle." Lin Fan gestured, hugging Qin Feng and frowning, "It tasted awful."
Outside the KTV, the cold wind made Lin Fan shrink into Qin Feng's chest. Her coat was still in the room, and she buried her head, "I'm cold."
Qin Feng quickly reached the parking lot, opened the car door, placed her inside, took off his coat, and put it on her. After closing the door, he walked to the other side. Lin Fan's phone rang, and Qin Feng saw Lei Xiaojia's name on the screen. He answered, "I took Lin Fan home."
"Uncle Qin?"
"Lin Fan's clothes are still in the room. Could you bring them to school for her? Thanks."
"Should I bring them to you now?"
"If it's not too much trouble—"
"It's no trouble."
With that, the call ended. Qin Feng rubbed his temples and drove to the KTV entrance. Soon, Lei Xiaojia came out with Lin Fan's clothes. Qin Feng got out to get them.
Lei Xiaojia, her face flushed from drinking, asked, "Where's Lin Fan?"
"She's in the car, sleeping." Qin Feng took the clothes, "We'll be off now."
"It's my birthday today. Aren't you going to wish me a happy birthday?" Lei Xiaojia stood straight, looking directly at Qin Feng. She seemed a bit nervous, her smile stiff, "You're not much older than us, right?"
Qin Feng raised an eyebrow, paused for a few seconds, and pointed to the car's passenger seat, "She's not my niece; she's my girlfriend. Happy birthday. Goodbye."
He turned and left.
Lei Xiaojia stood there, mouth agape, taking in the cold night air. As the car drove off, she slapped her forehead. Damn! That was Lin Fan's boyfriend, not her uncle. The alcohol sobered up immediately.

After driving for a while, Lin Fan fidgeted in the passenger seat, covering her face, "I feel like throwing up."
Qin Feng quickly found a suitable spot and parked. Lin Fan rushed out, holding onto a tree and vomiting. Qin Feng followed with a thermos, rubbing her back, "No more drinking."
Lin Fan seemed to throw up her brains. Qin Feng held her, handed her the thermos, "Rinse your mouth."
Lin Fan rinsed her mouth and drank the remaining warm water, then clung to Qin Feng like a koala, staring at him, "Do you sing?"
"Did you drink white wine? You're acting so drunk."
"Beer."
Qin Feng didn't want to argue with a drunk person, so he put Lin Fan back in the car and found a bag, "Use this if you need to puke."
Lin Fan, feeling groggy, held onto Qin Feng's hand, "Do you sing?"
"What do you want to hear?"
Qin Feng fastened her seatbelt. He never used his car's music player.
Lin Fan's flushed face turned towards Qin Feng, blinking, "I want to hear you sing."
Qin Feng brushed the hair off her face, revealing her clean features, cleared his throat, "I'm not a great singer, no complaining."
Lin Fan smiled, looking at him.
"In the vast sea of stars, I hold onto a dream."
"The warmth in your hands, I long to touch. In the vast sea of people, who will I meet..."
His voice was hoarse and deep, captivating.
"I traverse through wind and rain, to give you my heart..."
Lin Fan thought someone like him would probably sing the national anthem. The tender lyrics made her eyes well up. She grabbed Qin Feng's clothes, staring at his face in a daze.
Qin Feng forgot the words and hummed to the end, then looked at her, "Do you like it?"
Lin Fan nodded. In the dim light, her bright eyes sparkled, her fair skin and red lips were very alluring. Qin Feng's hand brushed her cheek, "Are you stunned?"
Lin Fan blinked, "No one else can hear you sing."
Others would fall in love with him, Lin Fan thought.
Qin Feng chuckled, his thumb brushing her face, "Silly girl."
Lin Fan hummed, holding Qin Feng's hand, "Only I can listen."
"If you remember this when you sober up tomorrow, I'll agree." Qin Feng pulled his hand back, forcing his gaze away from Lin Fan, "Let's go home. Sit still and behave."
He started the engine and drove off. Lin Fan watched the flashing neon lights outside.
"Qin Feng."
"Hmm?"
"I remembered something, but I'm not sure if it was a dream."
"What is it?"
"I dreamt you extended my life," Lin Fan closed her eyes. "I dreamt you traded your lifespan and offspring for mine." Tears rolled down, and Lin Fan quickly wiped them away, looking at Qin Feng. "It was just a dream, right? It didn't happen in reality, did it?"
Qin Feng gripped the steering wheel and glanced back at her, "Don't overthink it."
The dream felt too real. Lin Fan didn't dare to mention it to Qin Feng when sober; it was too heavy. What had he really sacrificed? Was it worth it just for Lin Fan?
Lin Fan didn't speak further and seemed to fall asleep with her head down. At a red light, Qin Feng reached over to cover her with the sliding-down coat, gently touching her forehead. Silly girl.
When they arrived downstairs, Qin Feng was about to carry Lin Fan, but she was already awake, handing him his coat and putting on her own. Getting out of the car, Qin Feng held her hand, "Still dizzy?"
"Not anymore."
Inside, Qin Feng turned on the lights. Suddenly, a tight grip around his waist made him pause. He turned back, "Lin Fan?"
Lin Fan lunged and wrapped her arms around his neck, forcing him to bend down, then kissed him fiercely. Qin Feng closed the door and held her, pulling back from her bitten lips, "Are you being naughty?"
Lin Fan nibbled on his jawline. Qin Feng placed her on the entryway cabinet, leaning down, "I have to work tomorrow, don't bite my face."
Lin Fan tugged at his clothes, impatiently. Qin Feng chuckled, "Do you have any self-control?"
"I don't," Lin Fan replied, taking advantage of her drunken state, reaching down to unbutton his pants. Qin Feng was startled by her boldness, "Lin Fan? You didn't just drink too much, did you? Were you drugged?"
Lin Fan caressed his abs, biting his Adam's apple, "I want you."
Qin Feng forgot about his mother's scolding that morning, focusing only on her words: "I want you." His dark eyes deepened, and after a brief silence, he kissed her deeply, carrying her from the entryway to the bedroom. They rarely lost control like this.
Having had a bit of alcohol, Lin Fan was exceptionally excited, taking charge. "Can we spend a lifetime together?" she panted, her long hair cascading down, looking like a fairy, "Old Qin, just love me forever."
"Okay," he agreed.
The next morning, Lin Fan woke up confused. She stared at the ceiling, unable to gather her thoughts. After a few seconds, Qin Feng turned off her alarm and got up, turning on the bedside lamp to get dressed. He looked back and saw Lin Fan still dazed, pinching her cheek, "What are you doing? Get up or you'll be late."
Lin Fan stiffly turned her head. Qin Feng had many bite marks and mysterious traces on his body. Lin Fan silently turned back to look at the ceiling, feeling like her body was split open.
Qin Feng pulled up his pants and went to Lin Fan's room to get her clothes. Returning, he saw her still dazed and leaned down to touch her nose, "Zoning out?"
Lin Fan quietly sank under the covers. Last night's memories resurfaced, and she sank until only the top of her head was visible, "Ah! I want to die!"
"No," Qin Feng chuckled, his voice deep, "Come out and get dressed."
Lin Fan wailed, "I'm crazy."
Qin Feng urged, "Hurry up."
"I don't want to live anymore!"
Qin Feng laughed heartily, pulling her out, "It wasn't that excessive. Get dressed."
When Lin Fan left the house, she was uncomfortable all over, feeling sore to the bones. In the elevator, she kept pressing her legs, and Qin Feng noticed, "What's wrong?"
"It hurts," Lin Fan inhaled sharply and straightened her waist, "Did you take the opportunity to beat me? My waist hurts too."
She insisted on being on top and so forceful; she deserved to be sore.
Qin Feng pressed her waist and yawned, "No more drinking in the future."
"Even if you beat me to death, I won't drink again. Alcohol and sex are harmful, not good."
After dropping Lin Fan off at school, Qin Feng watched her leave, touched his nose, and turned around, his gaze suddenly sharp. Someone stood by his car, wearing a black down jacket with a hat covering half their face.
Qin Feng immediately pointed a gun at him, approaching step by step.
When they were two meters apart, the man looked up at Qin Feng, "I'm not dead."
Half of his face was hideous, unbearable to look at. He stared at Qin Feng, "Let's find a place to talk."
Qin Feng gritted his teeth and pressed the gun to his head, "Talk to you?" He laughed, "I have nothing to talk about with you."
"Don't you want to know how much longer Lin Fan can live? Who Mr. Chen really is? General Qin, my goal is the same as yours. I want her to live," Ouyang Yu said. "If you don't believe me, you can shoot."
