A new lifesyle-4

As Olivia was on her way to the dorm, she saw Kalvin walking down the corridor. Lost in her own thoughts, she was surprised when Kalvin blocked her path, his face contorted in anger.

"What?" Olivia asked, caught off guard.

Kalvin's tone was accusatory. "Did you tell Melvin to find a way to take off the wristband?"

Olivia's brow furrowed in confusion. "Yes, I did. So?"

Kalvin's complaint was evident in his voice. "You clearly knew it was going to hurt her to try."

Olivia barely managed to suppress a smile. "Well, she said he can try with Crie and Brayan. It was her idea. We bought mechanics here for a reason," she said, starting to walk past him.

Kalvin let out an angry breath, clearly frustrated by Olivia's actions.

Olivia paused and turned to face him. "Look, Kalvin, I know you're concerned about Melvin's well-being, but we need to start taking some risks if we want to get out of here. We can't just sit around and wait for the perfect opportunity. wristband is one of the biggest obstacles we face, and if we have a chance to remove it, we need to take it." she said turning around to leave but she suddenly remembered something.

Olivia turned and walked over to Kalvin, leaning in close to his ear.

"Kalvin," she said in a hushed tone, "I asked Emerson to arrange a meeting with the queen. You and I will face her."

Kalvin's eyes widened in surprise. "Are you serious?" he asked.

Olivia nodded calmly. "Yes. As we both have connections with chancellors, our chances are higher to get her attention. They are scanning the O-1129 spacecraft to break it down into pieces. We need to stop it. I'm not sure whether it'll work, but it's worth a try."

Kalvin let out a breath. "It's a risky move, but worth a try," he said, agreeing.

"Don't let Megan know, otherwise she'll try to stop us," Olivia added, before turning and starting to walk down the corridor towards the dorm, leaving Kalvin lost in thought.

Olivia was surprised to find Megan standing on the other side as she opened the door.

"Oh, I was looking for you," Megan said, her tone pleasant, but the look in her eyes was anything but anger.

Before Olivia could respond, Megan reached out and grabbed her by the elbow. "Come with me," she commanded.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

Olivia's brow furrowed in confusion. "What?"

Megan's gaze then shifted to Kalvin. "You too! Come with me!" she ordered, pushing him forward with a forceful motion on his back.

Kalvin stared at Olivia, equally perplexed. "Why?" he asked.

Megan's expression grew more urgent. "I'll explain, but this is important!" she insisted, ushering the two of them forward.

Olivia and Kalvin exchanged a worried glance, but they had little choice but to comply with Megan's directive.

Kalvin leaned in towards Olivia, whispering, "Do you have any idea what this is about?"

Olivia shook her head, her mind racing with possibilities. "No, but I have a feeling we're about to find out," she murmured back.

"offcause you will," Megan said in disdain. Megan led Olivia and Kalvin to the dining room, turning up the volume on the radio until it was blaring. Once the noise level was sufficiently high, she turned around to face them, her expression intense and burning with an unreadable emotion.

Olivia and Kalvin exchanged a puzzled glance, unsure of what to make of Megan's strange behaviour. The loud music made it difficult for them to hear each other. Megan took a step closer to the pair, her eyes narrowing as she studied their faces. "I know what you two are planning," she said, her voice barely audible over the music.

Olivia's heart raced as she realized that Megan had somehow discovered their intentions. "What are you talking about?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady.

Megan leaned in, her gaze unwavering.

"You asked for a meeting with the queen?" she questioned.

Olivia and Kalvin exchanged another look, realizing their plan had been uncovered.

"Huh, it was my stupidity to trust Emerson," Olivia said, her tone laced with irony. Megan slammed her palm against the table as she took a seat, her anger evident.

Kalvin raised an eyebrow, indicating his own surprise at the turn of events.

"He told me after he made Kara inform the authorities, and you'll be pleased to hear they agreed," Megan replied, her words dripping with mockery.

"So they agreed?" Olivia said, a smile spreading across her face.

Megan let out a breath, her anger palpable. "You two have no idea what you've put yourselves into! You both are O-blooded. Saying one inappropriate word will be enough to get you two killed!"

Olivia and Kalvin exchanged a look filled with fear and surprise.

"Killed?" Kalvin questioned, his voice laced with wonder.

Megan's eyes narrowed as she stared at the two of them. "Do you have any idea how sacred the royal family is here? Defying their authority or showing any form of disrespect is punishable by death "

Olivia felt her heart racing. "But we just wanted to talk to the queen, to try and convince her to spare the spacecraft. We didn't mean any disrespect."

Megan shook her head, her expression grave. "It doesn't matter. Every time they come here, they bring the queen or the princess with them, only because at least one drunken person will say something inappropriate, so they get the supplies they need for the lab. They'll wait until you say one wrong word to get you arrested. You've already sealed your fate. But the problem is, you bringing the queen here means other stupid, drunken idiots will lose their lives too!"

Kalvin's face paled. "So we're as good as dead, then?"

Megan's gaze was unwavering. "Unless you learn how to act in front of the queen immediately, you have 12 hours left."

Megan replied, getting up. "Andria is at the library, and so is Kara. Go meet them. They'll teach you."

As Megan turned around to leave.

"We've gotten a problem, I think, "Kalvin said to Olivia with a troubled expression.

"In other words, a chance," Olivia said in a determined. voice but yet her face was pale. Kalvin stared at her eyes realizing whatever Ocean Diamond was, it was more complicated than they expected.
