Carl opened the door of the med bay, his head filled with the chaos of what he had just learned from Eriens. As he stepped inside, he heard the sound of someone coughing.
His eyes landed on Melvin, who had just woken up.
"Em!" Kalvin whispered, relief evident in his voice as he hurried to Melvin's side, helping her sit up on the bed.
"Hey, big brother," Melvin whispered, looking up at Kalvin with a mix of surprise and affection.
Kalvin pulled Melvin into a tight hug, holding her like a father embracing a cherished daughter. At first, Melvin seemed a bit taken aback, as the two had not been particularly close for some time. But then, a pure smile blossomed on Melvin's lips, and she returned the hug just as warmly.
"You scared me to death," Kalvin whispered, his voice thick with emotion. Carl could see the glistening of tears in Kalvin's eyes as he held Melvin close.
"Sorry to scare you," Melvin said, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.
"Oh, my annoying little sister," Kalvin replied, smiling through his tears.
"Are you crying?" Melvin asked, her own smile widening.
"No, no," Kalvin said quickly, wiping his face, which only made Melvin laugh.
Olivia and Tara, who had been watching the scene and preparing a medical drink for Melvin, felt a sense of joy at the heartwarming interaction between the siblings.
"Finally, they look like a real family now," Tara whispered to Olivia.
"Kalvin loves her no matter what. Melvin's lucky to have such a brother," Olivia whispered back.
Carl watched the scene, torn by the range of emotions it stirred within him. Part of him was touched by the genuine display of brotherly love, but another part remained haunted by Eriens' accusations. Could Kalvin really be capable of such a heinous act as murdering Eriens' brother?

Olivia turned to Carl who was approaching her, sensing his unease. "Is everything alright, Carl?" she asked, her brow furrowed with concern.
Carl hesitated, his gaze shifting between Kalvin and Melvin, who were still locked in a warm embrace. "I... I'm not sure," he admitted, his voice low. "There's a lot I need to figure out."
The sound of their conversation drew Kalvin's attention, and he looked up, his expression shifting from one of relief to one of curiosity.
"Carl? Did you find the keys?" Kalvin asked, his voice tinged with concern standing up from the bed where he was sitting, leaving Melvin under Tara's care. Carl took a deep breath, knowing that he would have to confront Kalvin about Eriens' allegations.
"We need to talk, Kalvin. Meet us in your room as soon as you're done here," Carl said, grabbing Olivia's hand.
Olivia stared at Carl's face, sensing that something was not right.
"What? Do you have the keys or not?" Kalvin asked, puzzled by Carl's demeanour.
"I do, but I'll keep it with me for fair reasons until we find out the truth," Carl replied, leaving Kalvin more puzzled.
"Truth?" Kalvin asked, his face turning even more curious.
"Not here, Kalvin. Meet us there," Carl said, grabbing Olivia's hand and turning to leave.
Kalvin's brown eyes were full of questions. He had no idea what was going on. Carl, the friend he trusted the most within the last few days, had suddenly started to act strange.
As Carl and Olivia walked out of the med bay, Olivia couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She knew Carl well, and she could tell that something was bothering him deeply.
"Carl, what's going on?" Olivia asked, her voice low and concerned.
Carl sighed heavily, his grip on her hand tightening slightly. "I'm not sure, Olivia. But I need to get to the bottom of this. Something doesn't add up, and I have a feeling that Kalvin might be hiding something."
Olivia's eyes widened in surprise. "Kalvin? But he's the one who was affected by both poisonings. I can't imagine him doing anything wrong."
Carl nodded, his expression pensive. "That's what I thought too. But I've just learned some troubling information, and I need to confront him about it." Olivia stared at Carl curiously. She knew that whatever Carl had discovered, it was significant enough to shake his trust in Kalvin.
"I'll explain to you on our way," He said looking at Olivia's blue eyes full of curiosity. As Carl and Olivia walked to Kalvin's room, Olivia's mind was racing. The more she heard about the information Carl had uncovered, the more suspicious she began to feel about Kalvin.
