"We have to get out of here!" I said as I moved as far away as possible from the sounds of the fight between the cat-like creature and the unknown between the punches and the fury of the cat-like creature deep into the mist. I ran as far as I could away from them without looking back and without considering anything in particular as to whether I was going in the right direction and the voices weakened along with them on record of what I was doing. Suddenly at one point, the voices stopped completely in the middle of the run and the place went silent. I did not attribute it until I found myself emerging from the fog to a mound on which were the ruins of a building that had decayed over time. The place was still not completely clear of the fog, but I could see well enough without the help of the headlights that I was already somewhere else, far from them, and I decided to stop there.
I only managed to see the shadow of the unknown. Something that resembled large wings beating against a creature that almost managed to get its teeth on me. I didn't think much of him as I tried to get off the goo that the creature had spat at me. Piece by piece I manage to take it off slowly, but all the fingers of the glove are still sticky.
"You can spot a large water source near here"
"Checking... positive, a nearby water source has been detected"
And just as quickly the location appeared on the screen and I moved towards it. There, what looked like a winter pool full of aquatic vegetation and a jeep spread out among various ruins awaited me, but I focused on continuing to get the sticky stuff off. From the other side, I heard the rustling of grasses also advancing, and out of them came a group of humanoids with wings, stopping to sip from the dirty pool. Some of them argued against each other, but none of them attributed to me. I don't want to think about what I went through when I first saw them.
As I ran the gloves through the water and rinsed them as much as I could, the water began to dissolve the material, leaving behind a shiny surface. It worked I thought to myself as I continued to wash the rest of the sticky spots. They continued to mess with theirs before when I finished washing everything I moved back away from them, not before another rustling was heard from the other direction, this time I decided to hide and get away from the place. I wanted to run away but my curiosity left me suddenly, against my will. Something similar to a nightmare came out of it - a large body, a large and long neck like a giraffe's, but its head resembled that of a human, with some mane and thorns. The flying creatures that stood next to him gasped in front of him while the giraffe-man ignored them and sipped from the pool as well. Suddenly one of the members of the group spread his wings and flew to touch his long neck, but he started to attack and the whole group ran away and flew away from the place.
I also found myself moving away from a place. I'm not trying to think about why all the creatures are so human-like in appearance, between goblin-bats and giraffe-man, like a never-ending genetic nightmare. If it just started like this, I'm afraid I'll encounter something similar later, or worse. I continued to make my way back to the track until darkness once again began to cover the outside and I began to look for a place to rest. Everything that was around me was focused between different mounds and rotten ruins of low buildings, and between grasses and forests that all look like an enchanted forest and noise. Calls and cries were heard from a distance, synchronizing among themselves like a choir and echoing throughout the place. A sense of unease fills me with every sound I hear as if I've entered a virtual reality of the horror genre I loved watching when I was younger. I walked around the ruins that were scattered everywhere. Most of them were covered with thin vegetation and in others, the fragments were exposed to the elements of the environment and looked cracked and rotten in each of them in their way.
In the end, I managed to find something resembling a covered corner among the ruins and decided that this is where I would rest. I got ready for sleep and soon lay down on the wall. The calls continued to be heard but as time passed, they got weaker and I was able to sleep. I don't know how long it was before I heard an alert from one of the directions. I couldn't recognize where because of all the echo that was created, but with Rosalina's voice, I woke up to these words:
"Wake up, the unidentified has been located in the area"
The heavy-sounding footsteps and drags were heard all over the dark forest and the ruins and decay and it filled me with chills as I crept gently towards the weapon, that the worst could happen and I stood ready. I looked in the helmet but no gray spot was found. I cocked the weapon and activated it. The gentle light of plasma shone a gently light around the corner and I began to peek between the walls, with flashlights pointing in the direction I see, but nothing but the vegetation there is nothing suspicious, or 'alive' in the field of vision every corner I look. There is nothing strange on the map either. And that's what bothers me even more.

I turned around just to understand and see that there was nothing strange, but the marches continued and even got stronger until suddenly the gray dot appeared on the map in one of the directions. I clung to one of the walls while holding the weapon in my hand ready to fire and peering over it and aiming flashlights, but nothing was standing there. I looked back at the map and he started moving quickly in my direction, with his strides. I started to panic and shoot the weapon straight away and a bullet came out of it. The forest was filled in a few moments with flashes from the projectile and was engulfed in darkness. No sound was heard. I looked to the sides again to try to understand what exactly was waiting and I looked once more at the map and the point was standing in front of me.
I jumped back and fired another shot and this time it bounced off the wall and almost hit me back! I tripped from her husband on the damp ground and my head protected by the helmet hit the wall behind me this collision caused me a shock and a strange wobble in the process.
"Colin!" I heard Rosalina's voice before the shock became too strong for me to keep my eyes open and my head from spinning until I lost consciousness as I tried to understand what she was trying to tell me...
Suddenly I find myself up on a black cliff looking at the sunrise of blue sun. At the edge of the cliff, there is a bench with someone sitting on it. I moved towards him until I could see who was sitting on him. Suddenly a voice was heard:
"Colin? It's you!" In a soft and gentle voice, I recognized her: my wife. Her gentle, happy face with the red hair and her voice which is the only thing I hear every day since I first woke up to this nightmare known as "T.H.E."
"Yes, it's me" I started crying in front of her and she got up from the bench and hugged me in a tender and warm hug. She led me to sit on a bench as well and started talking:
"Are you okay? What happened?"
I started to wipe the tears and noticed that I was wearing a black and white outfit instead of a suit, arranged as if ready for a party. I lowered my hand and took a deep breath. She began to speak:
"It's great that you remember how to relax. I always remember that you didn't handle pressure"
"That's right, I always remembered what you taught me" I continue to wipe my eyes and find myself starting to wipe her red shirt as well as her hair without noticing, but she didn't care at all. I stopped in front and started looking at the gentle blue sunrise overlooking the red sky. She did as I did and silence reigned between us. It was like this for a while until I felt more relaxed and started to break the ice:
"Until now, I've been through things that I didn't think a person should go through, alone and lonely, only your voice directs me where to go or understand what's in front of me, but I've already counted how much has passed since it started. There were some moments of beauty, but this beauty hid nightmares and challenges that almost every time they killed me"
I looked into her emerald green eyes, which shine like a pure and polished gem. She looked back at me and started holding my palms and I continued to tell:
"I don't know why this is happening, why it is like this, what happened to me now. Am I after death?"
She held my palms and caressed them. and began to testify:
"Colin, you've held on until now. You're still far from dying and I know you're trying to reach me" I started hugging her tightly and she continued: "With every step you've taken, with every decision you've made, you've managed to get to where you are until now and I know you're close to the end of what you are Eve. All I want you to do is wake up and keep pushing!"
The place began to light up quickly and she began to disappear along with the view and the bench. I try to hug her tightly and she continued to speak:
"I'm waiting for you" and she disappeared into the light along with everything...
I opened my eyes and light entered straight into my eyes I got up quickly and tried to rub my eyes but the helmet blocked the way. I took it off and threw it away and started wiping it.
"Colin! Welcome back!" Rosalina's voice coming out of the suit began to speak: "It seems that the brain concussion as a result of the collision was so strong that it caused an unexpected fainting that lasted for 11 hours. According to another examination, all your body systems seem to be normal, but I recommend that you drink and eat" I started moving towards the equipment and took Michal the water and the smoked meat. I slowly crawled towards the wall and started biting into the flesh. It didn't taste the best, but I feel that my strength has started to return to me. I turned to the sides to see that all things were in place and I looked behind the wall gently and slowly, in the same direction that the gray dot was moving and suddenly in my field of vision something large and gray appeared with marks of black and green stripes all over... it...
"What is that?!"
