Upstairs, the group is sitting in the living room, trying to figure out where they need to go next.
"According to what I've read in the book, Kamen needs these ingredients to evolve into an adult vampire. It would seem that he needs the blood of a vampire that is King-level. It's weird that this is the only requirement. But where are we going to get the blood from a King-level vampire?" Alistair explains.
"I'm not sure; the only King Vampire I know about is Vlad; all of the counts in Evengail are at least Duke-level vampires." Jenny says.
"I can reach out to my fellow witches and see if there is a way around this; does the book say anything about what happens when a vampire consumes King-level blood and evolves?" Alice asks.
"From what I observed, there are diverse responses to evolution." Since Jenny and I are pure blood vampires, evolution doesn't really play a role in our lives. Since we're pure blood, we're able to ascend with less, but most are afraid of the counts and Vlad. It would seem that Vlad only trusts his counts, and those who evolve are killed to make an example out of them for the others." Alistair explains.
"Alice, can you go ahead and reach out to your friends and see what they can do? We'll eventually need to go and get those two battle freaks and let them know what's going on." Jenny tries to explain as they feel a tremor in the ground.
"What was that? "There has never been an earthquake here." Alistair asks in shock.
"Oh no, I think we need to go check on them sooner than we thought." The only reason I can think of is that they're getting really rough with each other. That area is strong and will eventually go back to it's original state, but it can only withstand so much before it breaks down." Alice explains that everyone feels another tremor, but this time it's stronger, and it shakes the entire house and knocks everyone to the ground.
Getting off the ground, everyone runs down to the basement. Once they enter the basement, everyone is silent about what they are witnessing.
Elizabeth is in her true form. She's covered in blue and purple armor, similar to lightning. The armor is actually her skin; it's simply been awakened and has transformed her into a monster of a vampire.
The pressure everyone feels is smothering; it's hard to breathe; every breath feels like they're breathing in fire; their legs are frozen in place, like they're glued to the spot, only able to watch what happens next.
"She's a dragon-level vampire. It's impossible! Who is she really?" Jenny says this in panic.
Sighing, Alistair reveals who she really is.
"She's not just a king-level vampire. She's one of the deadliest vampires to exist, and no one but Vlad has the power to stop her. He tried to bring her to his side thousands of years ago, but she refused, saying that she didn't agree with how he was as a king. Of course, Vlad didn't like that. So he sent out his best troops and counts to stop her and force her to be his."
"That's terrible!" Jenny says.
"That's not the worst of it. Vlad tortured, bled out, and slaughtered all the troops he had sent. Or so the tale goes. Apparently Vlad didn't want anything to do with her; he let her go." Alistair explains
"She's fighting Kamen, seriously!" What if she kills him? What did Kamen do to make her this angry?" Alice yells out.
Alistair forces his finger up and points over to Kamen.
"It would seem that something caused his thirst to go out of control and he somehow drank her blood, causing his evolution to start," he explains as everyone looks Kamen up and down and notices that he is covered in blackness with blood-red eyes shining out.

"ROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAARRRKamen lets out a roar, fully engulfed in his evolution.
"Until his evolution is over, he'll stay like this. Let's just be thankful that they're over there and we're over here." Alistair states.
Everyone nodded their heads with effort, knowing that he's right, and confrontation between them and Kamen would be fatal.
"You need to calm down, Kamen; I am warning you." Elizabeth says this in a growl.
Kamen opens his mouth, and everyone sees darkness and light combine together.
"Shit. This is going to be bad." Alice says it out loud.
"Kamen! You need to stop this; come back to us!" Jenny yells out at Kamen.
Big mistake.
Kamen turns his head and stares at them with the energy forming in his mouth .
Seeing this, Elizabeth is shocked.
"Kamen, this is between you and me; don't involve them!" She yells out as Kamen releases the energy at the group.
Unable to move, the group is stuck, waiting for their deaths.
Suddenly, Elizabeth stands in front of them. They are surrounded by a barrier of pure red energy combined with lightning. "Everyone! Brace for impact!" Elizabeth yells out as the energy hits them.
The resulting explosion can only be compared to three hydrogen bombs exploding at once. For comparison, the hydrogen bomb is 1,000 times more powerful than the atomic bomb.
Smoke clears away, revealing the crater, which is twice as big as Elizabeth's crater.
Down in the crater stands Elizabeth on one knee, still holding the shield up. The shield eThe shield exhibits cracks and is gradually crumbling.
"Holy sh*t, Alistair. Are you sure that he's only at the adult stage?!" Alice says this in utter shock.
Alistair shakes his head. "At this point, I'm not sure. I've never seen anyone force a dragon-level vampire to its knees except for a king-level vampire or higher. I'm not even sure that we can say that he isn't at the level that Elizabeth is now. I just don't know how it's possible. Unless...." Alistair explains, and they hear a growl and look up.
Kamen is floating above them, looking down at them with pure malice in his eyes.
He pulls his fist back and starts hitting the shield. Sending shockwaves through the ground.
"This is crazy!" Jenny cries out as the shield cracks more.
Elizabeth coughs up blood.
"I don't know how long I can keep this shield up. "I'll try to open a small part of the back and let you guys escape while I hold him off." Elizabeth says she is coughing up more blood.
"You can't be serious, Elizabeth?! We're not going to leave you!" Alistair yells out.
She gives them a look of, 'You better fucking leave while you can'.
Everyone looks down at the ground and nods their heads as Elizabeth opens up a small portion of the shield, allowing them to escape.
As soon as they get out, they hear the shield break.
They turn around and see Kamen holding Elizabeth in his hand, squeezing down hard.
"Kamen, please! Don't hurt her anymore! Please, I love you!" Jenny cries out, tears rolling down her face.
Kamen looks over at her, throws Elizabeth to the ground, and slowly walks towards them. His slow walk turns into a sprint, and he clears the distance in three seconds.
Standing in front of everyone, they feel the pressure he's releasing. It's enough to kill someone. The anger and rage that he's evoking is immense.
Kamen reaches out for Jenny as Alistair strikes out towards him, hitting him in the face.
"Damn, it's like hitting a diamond." Alistair cries out as he feels his hand break.
Kamen looks over at Alistair, puts his hand through his gut, and throws him into the wall with such a force that one would assume that it would turn a human into a fine mist.
"AAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHH," Alistair cries out as he feels his insides cut open.
Kamen looks back over to Jenny and resumes reaching out to her as his hand reaches her. The black armor around him slowly starts to crack and break away.
Seeing this, everyone is in shock.
"His evolution.....It's.....done...." Alistair says he is coughing up blood and trying to catch his breath.
Kamen falls to his knees, then to the ground. As he hits the ground, the armor completely breaks, revealing Kamen.
He's visibly taller and more masculine, with longer black hair that glistens in the artificial light from the area.
"Kamen!" Jenny yells out as she drops to her knees, grabs Kamen, and holds him in her arms.
Elizabeth appears limp, with blood dripping from every part of her body. "It'll take more than that to take me out." She says it with a pained smile.
"Is it finally over?" Elizabeth asks.
Jenny nods her head. "It seems that his evolution is over; no one expected that Kamen would be that strong."
"I don't think it was all him, based on what I experienced." "It would seem that Lumen and Vestis helped him speed along his evolution and forced him to skip a few evolutions." She explains.
"How strong do you think he is now?" Jenny asks, tears still rolling down her cheeks.
Elizabeth shakes her head. "I'm not sure; I think he's above Dragon level now. If he was at my level, then it would have been an even fight. But I was damn near powerless compared to him."
