I let out a sigh of relaxation.

"That was nice; I really needed that burp." I say this as I look at everyone.

Elizabeth shakes her head with great disappointment.

"Sometimes I wonder how you've lived this long, anyway; I'm going to ask the question that everyone wants to know.

Where were you? We couldn't sense you anywhere; did you go back to the human realm?"

Everyone turns their head from looking at Elizabeth to me.

"So, the short answer is no, I didn't. What happened was that I opened up the void and spent some time in there reading that book; it also gave me time to think. It would seem that there is a time dilation between the two spaces. I would assume it's because the void is its own dimension of space."

I go on to explain that 5 minutes in there was akin to 24 hours out here, or at least close to it.

Putting her hand on her chin, Alice asks me a question.

"In this 'Void' what's it like? Is the dimension any different from this reality? Can you change the time so that it takes longer inside than outside?"

"That..... I don't know. I haven't had the time to see if it was possible. With enough training, I would assume that it would be. But in my current state, it's impossible." I explain.

Elizabeth speaks up.

"You know it's been awhile since we've trained, Kamen." I think it's time that I let go of the restraints and show you what I'm really like."

Everyone looks at Elizabeth in confusion.

"Restraints? What do you mean?" Alistair looks at her strangely.

"I have restraints on my power output so that I can enjoy fights longer. Fighting is like a drug; there's a lot you don't know about me, Alistair. I was once one of the most feared vampires next to Vlad." She explains with a cocky grin on her face.

Gulp

"Alright, where do you want to do this?" I am concerned.

"We can do it in the basement." She motions for me to follow her.

"When the fuck did this place get a basement?"

"Alice has a few witch friends that owe her favors, and one of them was creating an area where we could spar or train without restraint or worry about destroying anything."

Shrugging my shoulders, I reluctantly accept.

We head down to the basement through a door that I've never noticed before. As we get to the basement, I stop in shock.

The basement is vast; it seems like it goes on and on forever.

"How is this possible?" I ask in confusion.

"Witches are crafty; we have groups all over the Earth and Evengail. All governed by a queen witch and a king Warlock. " Alice explains with a hint of a smile.

"While you guys are training, we'll be upstairs figuring things out." As the group goes back up, Alistair says:

"So it seems we're alone again. I hope so." Before I could finish my sentence, a dagger with what seemed to be covered in lightning flew past my face, hit the ground, and left a crater the size of a car.

I turn around and see Elizabeth running towards me; suddenly, she disappears and reappears in front of my face with her fist clenched tight.

Before I can react, her fist connects to my face and sends me back 20 feet.

"Oh, Satan, I'm going to die for real." I say this as I try to get back up.

"Like I said before, Kamen, the restraints are coming off." She says it with a smirk.

"I'm not going to lie; this is exciting. What are the rules? Am I allowed to go all out?" I ask

"No, you are not; this is a test to see if you can withstand all my might with just your physical body. No powers allowed."

"Fuck," I say before getting serious and rushing towards her.

Swinging out towards her face, she moves ever so slightly, and my fist misses. She grabs my hand and bends it back.

'Crack' She's broken my wrist.

"FUCK!" I yell out as I look at my hand; it flops back and forth. I see the bones slowly stitch themselves back together. The pain is unbearable. But I have to fight through it.

"I'm going to show you a lot today, Kamen. I hope that you can keep up." She says this with a smirk as she strikes my head and sends me to the ground.

I quickly get back up, calm my breathing down, and focus on my senses.

"Good, that's right, Kamen. If you don't take me seriously, you may really die."

"Ignore her, Kamen; just focus on yourself. Imagine feeling every part of your body and being completely in control of it." Lumen says it in my head.

I listen to what he says, close my eyes, and focus. "When I focus, I can hear her movements and feel where she is." Thinking to myself, I strike out.

"You were so close, Kamen; it's too bad you missed." She says it with a smirk, and she throws another dagger at me.

I caught the dagger in my hand, and that was a mistake.

The dagger releases the energy inside the blade and sends an electric current throughout my body, paralyzing me to the ground.

"D-D-D-Damn I-I-I-It." I barely get out before Elizabeth kicks out at my stomach, launching me into the air.

The dagger falls from my grasp, and the current is slowly fading.

"Damn it, I still can't move my body." I keep trying to move my body as I fly through the sky.

The feeling slowly comes back, and I can move. Looking around, I can't see Elizabeth anywhere.

"Are you searching for me, Kamen?" I hear a voice behind me.

Elizabeth strikes, but misses. My body is slowly fading where it once was.

"What?! An after-image?!" She says it out loud as the fist collides with her back with my full physical strength.

"AAAAGHHH," Elizabeth cries out as she's sent back down to the ground like a seeking missile.

Hitting the ground at supersonic speed, the dirt beneath her bends due to the force and splits, creating a crater full of flames due to the speed at which she collided.

Blood slowly runs out of my eyes. "Damn it, the book was wrong; the more I use my abilities, the more it hurts me. "You said I couldn't use powers; you never said anything about my abilities." I say this with a slick grin, not showing any pain.

"I'll admit that was pretty good; I was wrong for underestimating you, Kamen. But if you want to use abilities, then I will." She says she is climbing out of the crater.

She suddenly disappears from my sight.

In front of me, she appears with her fist clenched and covered in lightning. Her fist hit me so fast I couldn't see it move.

I hit the ground faster than I knew was possible, creating a crater so massive that it rivals the crater left by the meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs.

Coughing up blood I look down and see that my left leg is gone, along with my left arm. "I've seen an anime like this on Earth before." I say this while coughing up blood.

I feel the thirst for the first time in a while.

It's........intoxicating

"blood...Blood. bLoOD. I NEED IT!" I whisper out a growl as I explode from the ground and fly towards Elizabeth, latching onto her and biting into her neck.

Shocked, Elizabeth doesn't know what to do.

"Get off of me, Kamen! What are you doing?" She yells out in a panic.

"SHUT UP, GIVE ME YOUR BLOOD."

I start drinking her blood, letting it nourish and strengthen me, and my limbs slowly grow back.

Once they're fully formed again, I grip her with strength that she hasn't experienced in a long time.

"You're hurting me, Kamen! Please stop! I don't want to hurt you!" She cries out.

Not listening to reason, I bite even harder into her, eliciting a moan from her.

"The power I feel creeping into me from her blood is astounding." I've never felt so powerful." As the thirst slowly fades away, I think to myself.

Elizabeth has clearly had enough.

"I warned you, Kamen; what happens is on you. Don't say I didn't warn you." She says it with a growl.
