The humanoid dragon gets up off the ground unfazed. "Hmpf." The dragon mutters as it brushes the dust off of its scales. Everyone looks at the dragon in shock.
"The dragon took that blast and wasn't hurt? What kind of dragon is this really?" I say this out loud as the dragon starts sprinting towards me and releases three balls of fire towards me.
I easily block the fire, and as I look past the smoke, I realize the dragon is on my right side, digging its claws into me. "Agh!" I yell out as its claws rip into me. Falling to the ground, I spit blood out onto the ground. Seeing this, Jenny becomes upset and starts running towards the dragon to attack it.
Sensing this, the dragon turns around and smacks her to the ground. "You are the weakest link here, girl. I'd suggest you stay out of this if you want to live." The dragons say this while sneering at her. "Everyone, stay back. I need to somehow defeat this dragon alone. There's only one option I can think of. It'll be risky." I say as I stand up and focus Lumen, Vestis, Lilith, and Typhon's power into my hands and feet.
"Kamen, what are you doing?" Elizabeth yells out. Ruby, who's been quiet the whole time, just smiles like a lunatic. "My master really wants to kill this dragon. I'd suggest we move a lot farther back." She says it with a sadistic smile. Everyone listens to her and moves back 300 feet.
I look towards Ruby and nod my head before finally feeling the power settle. I turn towards the dragon and scoff. "You don't know real power. I'll beat it into you." I say it with confidence. The dragon squinted its eyes before I suddenly disappeared.
The dragon looks around quickly, trying to find where I went. Suddenly, the dragon sees foot prints dug into the ground. After each footstep, the ground around the dragon begins to shake. "He's creating miniature earthquakes with how fast he's going. If he's that fast, then it's plausible that he's just as strong now. What on earth did he do?" The dragon thinks to itself. Suddenly, I appeared beside the dragon and sent a kick out.
The dragon tries to block the kick with its arm, only to have the arm disappear into thin air. Shocked, the dragon roars and sends the other arm out to attack. The other arm of the dragon suddenly disappears. Freaking out, the dragon starts breathing fire all around it, hoping to stop me from attacking it any further. But to its chagrin, it doesn't help.
It feels a hand over its head as it is suddenly picked up and slammed into the ground. "What on earth did Kamen do to power up like this?" Alistair says this in shock. Jenny shakes her head. "I don't know; the last time he did this with Lumen and Vestis, he wasn't as powerful as this."
Ruby snickers. "You don't get it, do you? My master has combined the power of the four souls that currently inhabit his body. With their power all in one body, what do you think would happen?" Elizabeth looks back at the battle. She looks down and realizes that she's become wet. "Damn it, Kamen. I'll get you for making me like this. I never thought I'd see the day when you became this powerful. Our training sessions are going to get interesting." She thought to herself.
Everyone else looks back to the battle and sees the dragon slowly 'climb' out of the hole in the ground. The dragon's arms are slowly regenerating; they are currently the size of a young child's. Jenny snickers. The dragon looks in her direction. "Eeep," Jenny mutters out before looking away, whistling.
I look at the dragon and smile. "You're one of the few people who could have survived that. What's your name?" I asked the dragon. The dragon looks at me with disgust. "You're nothing more than a filthy vampire, but you have great strength. Very well, I will tell you my name. It's Nidhogg."
I look at the dragon with squinted eyes. "In Norse mythology, it was said that you were entangled in the roots of Yggdrasil. I met with Yggdrasil and didn't see you. So why are you here with the Tree of Knowledge?" I ask the dragon.
Nidhogg chuckles "It doesn't matter; none of you will leave here alive. I'll make sure of that." He says this as he kicks his leg out. I shake my head and sigh. "You really don't learn, do you?" I throw my fist into his leg and obliterate it.
"AGH, WHY WON'T YOU DIE?" Nidhogg yells out in anger. "I'm the main character, bitch." I say as I destroy his other leg and watch as he topples to the ground. Walking over to him, I lean down and bite into his neck. "What are you doing?" Nidhogg yells out in confusion. He had never heard of a vampire drinking the blood of a dragon.

As I sink my fangs into his neck, I feel his blood merging with mine, strengthening me. "Your soul will be a nice addition to my collection." I say this as I place my hand on his head before sucking his soul directly into my body. "I'm not even sure if it works that way, but if it does, great. If not, then at least I fed on another soul without having to use Vestis." I think to myself as I look at Earth, Wind, and Fire.
"So, what is the next beast I have to fight?" I say, smiling at them. They look confused. Never in their lives have they seen someone like him. Someone who could possibly be the next great ruler Clearing her throat, Earth speaks. "The next beast you will fight will be an army of goblins. Beware; they are crafty and agile fighters." I give her a thumbs up and a smile.
"Sweet, let's do it." I say the three girls look confused before shaking their heads and waving their hands. Suddenly, thousands of goblins appear in front of me. I smile at them wickedly. "This is going to be fun." I say this as I throw my fist into the ground and create an earthquake that knocks them down on their feet.
Running towards the goblins, I throw my fist out and release Typhon's power, incinerating a few hundred goblins. Seeing this only angers the goblins more.
"Anachak, Rosilikalor!" The goblin leader yells out in goblin tongue. The goblins rush towards me with daggers in their hands, slashing at me. I stand there and dodge the attempted attacks, then reach out and grab one of the goblins by the head and swing it into another, crushing both of them before Vestis swallows them up. "That was disgusting—hardly any soul either. I wouldn't try to eat anymore of these goblins, Kamen." Vestis said it with disgust. I sigh. "That's unfortunate; I figured you would've had a feast and enjoyed this. Well, then there's no point in prolonging this any further." I say as I jump back from the goblins and throw a condensed ball of everyone's power towards the goblins.
In what seemed like a split second, the ground erupts, sending an earthquake that would register as a 12 on the Richter scale throughout the land, dropping everyone to their knees except the three sisters. As the dust settles, a crater can be seen carved into the ground. The crater looks at least 100 miles wide, stretching away from us; everything in front of me was obliterated.
The three sisters look at me in shock. They then begin talking to each other. "We knew nothing of his true strength. If this man has already had the blessing of Yggdrasil and the Tree of Death, then there is no possible limit to his potential." Fire speaks confidently. Water nods her head. "I agree, but he still has three other beasts to fight. If this continues, we may be brought into the fight." Water groans, shaking her head.
Earth looks towards me with interest. She's never seen a vampire such as him. She was about to speak. The Tree of Knowledge talks to them. "It is clear that this man is very knowledgeable; I will agree to meet with him. He no longer has to do the trials." The tree explains.
Everything around me goes black, and suddenly I appear in a room filled with magic tomes, grimoires, etc. I look around and spot a woman in a white dress. Her beauty rivals that of the other two trees. She has long platinum hair that reaches down to her shoulders and piercing green eyes that are behind a set of glasses that look very modern in design.
"My name is Jasmine, and the thought of finally meeting you face-to-face is exhilarating, to say the least. I know why you are here: to seek my power and gain the knowledge that I have acquired since the dawn of time. I'm afraid to say that I am doubtful that your mind would be able to hold the vastness of my knowledge." Jasmine explained that she was somewhat saddened to reveal this to me.
I sigh. "That's to be expected; is there anyway that I could overcome that hurdle?" I am curious. She nods her head. "In your current state, it is impossible. The power you would need to hold my knowledge is not currently in your grasp. To you, you are very strong, but your strength is on the lower side of the various races located in this world. Until you are ready to surpass them, I am unable to gift you my knowledge." She explains.
I shake my head. "I didn't expect that. How long will it take for me to surpass them?" I ask. She shrugs her shoulders. "I am unable to tell you that everyone's race is different in how they gain their power. Yet, for some reason, you are different. I cannot tell you the rate at which you are able to expand your power. Something about you is blocking me. I can say that I sense great potential in you. One day you will be a great leader, or the worst kind of monster there is. It is for you to decide." She says this while placing her hand on my shoulder.
Disappointed, I look at her once more. "Do you know what truly happened to my parents?" I ask her, hopeful. She clears her throat before speaking. "Your parents are still alive; I can tell you that. They were taken prisoner when you were a child. It was made to look like an accident. I am sorry for everything you have been through. She says this as she turns around and walks to one of the book shelves. "I cannot tell you where they are or who they were taken by." Turning around, she throws a book at me, and I catch it.
'True Vampire Evolution' I read the book title in confusion. "I've seen two other books similar to this." I say, looking at her, not understanding why she gave this to me. Jasmine sits down at the table and runs her hands through her hair. "The other books that you saw only show you a part of the vampire's evolution. If you truly want to get stronger, you can read this book. I told you before I saw great potential in you, Kamen." She says she is smiling.
