Volume Two Chapter 6 – Sudden Parental Visit?!

-???’s POV

Human Territory was ruled by many kingdoms. They who desired to attain the throne. They who were driven with both noble and evil causes to conquer those below them. It was the nature of humans to antagonize each other, easily discriminating and greedy for things they didn’t have.

Because of that, wars happened. Because of that, kingdoms fell to ruins. Because of that, true peace could never be realized. Only those who truly possessed divine heart would be able to create an utopia for humans who were constantly hostile with other races.

However—even the wisest of the wise fell prey to the humans blinded with greed and wicked desires.

It always went like that. And it will continue to stay like that.

Do not believe the humans. Do not trust them. Do not seek help from them. Otherwise—one would pay for it dearly.

“My, isn’t that dashing of you, elder brother? You really look excellent with that uniform.”

“—shut up. Who asked for your opinion? Let’s just get this over with already.”

“Hehe, such an impatient one. Don’t you think you have become more emotional lately, or is it simply my imagination, elder brother?”

……hmph. Who gives a damn? I don’t have any reason to know you even more either. While cursing under my breath, I looked up from the base of the castle. Residing atop the hill, towering over the whole kingdom infested with corrupt landless nobles and dirty scumbags who liked to trample on the commoners.

“Seven years… now I’m here only to crush some Tyrant’s petty ambition to overthrow the throne. What kind of sick joke is this?”

The person a little behind me chuckled. Her long black-white hair which parted into two at halfway down swayed. Her gorgeous dress was out of place within the rows of army she led along with the other Royal Knights. Even so, an ornate knife was belted at her waist as she displayed a mischievous snicker.

“Don’t be silly, elder brother. You rushed back here the moment you heard Edward was killed by Eugene, the first prince right? All because he is hated by his Lagnaris and he also don’t have the capacity to become a proper bearer of the title Vagnalos of .”

That is just his misfortune to draw the short-stick. In fact, other than Edward, none really qualified to become the King. Because among the Seven Princes and the Six Princesses birthed for the everlasting ambitions of that wretched Old Bastard, only one possessed zero synchronicity with the Cursed Weapons of Sins.

As I began clicking my tongue, knowing that one of us already fell to the Lagnaris’ influence and assassinated the True Inheritor of the throne, I tapped on my sheathed sword’s hilt. It went on until a Royal Knight with the stature a head shorter than me approached me.

“Felix, all the knights are ready to move. Captain Richard’s squad is also ready to infiltrate from the underground waterway.” The female knight with red hair reported.

…how many times have I told her to never call me by my name? I really hate how people ignored the warnings of the wise and simply interrupting my privacy as if there’s no tomorrow. In fact, this Volkahusen girl seemed to approach me with ulterior motives once she was told who I am.

Sigh… looks like I shouldn’t have spared her back when her squad charged into the cabin. It was also my mistake to make contact with her, as it led to a chain reaction which caused this Black-White sniffing and pulling me into her schemes.

As expected, no one could escape from the dark ambitions of humans. I knew that it’s the correct decision to not tell anything to Charlotte. But leaving without a notice would end badly so I couldn’t help but to write a letter of apology. I just hope she doesn’t charge ahead without any plan like before…

“Is that so? Then we’re moving out.” I walked brazenly.

Ahead was the palace’s gate, standing tall with several layers of thick steel bars and enchanted barrier. Before, there were Seven Magical Arrays to isolate hostile Mages with Six Fortress Walls to ensure absolute protection to the capital. Normally speaking, no army, not even Demon Generals could ever break through all the way to the stronghold.

However, all of them are useless for me. The guilty coward already had his plans failing one after another the moment I intruded his conquest.

But I, who was already THIS close with the Throne, and also the only one who has the highest aptitude with my Lagnaris, could never be bothered with such childish wooden shield. So I drew my sword.

The blade was pure black, as if absorbing even light and it leaked ominous miasma though as faint as morning mist. Someone said that I obtained this sword from the legendary blacksmith I was acquainted with years before, but in truth—

“Time for you to devour some spells.”

As fast as the wind, a cutting sound could be heard. And several experts might have witnessed a streak of black in the air. A moment did not even pass when a cracking sound could be heard.

Suddenly the gate was sliced into giant blocks of useless metals.

They fell, creating terrific sounds and rumbling. Piles of dust rose up and I heard the panicked yells from the rebels within the palace. I simply raised the sword, then pointed it forward.

“Don’t let anyone escape. We’ll retrieve the kingdom back today!! All that’s left is the oppressive Tyrant pretending as the king and his foolish puppets who chased a vain dream!! ALL KNIGHTS, CHARGE!!”

With a loud battle cry. With indomitable pressures. With arms raised and with savage murderous intentions displayed, I observed knights intruding into the palace to put down the last spark of the Rebellion. But even amidst the rusty smell drifting in the air—

”Ahaha! Now the Throne is no longer owned by anyone… Thank you for your hard work, O Exiled Hero, the savior of the Hoy Kingdom Raumia…!”

With that, five years gone by.

Everything seemed blurry as I hardly wish to remember the training camp for I have brought down the Wrath of the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven. Not that I could complaint about it, as I could become stronger but as years went by, I wondered how Fei was going all by himself.

For the duration of training, I knew that he at least still alive. But I couldn't find him anywhere. He didn't search me and Takeru never told me about what was going on outside the mountain.

He's become a stingy character. How annoying but he seemed particularly upset for being hit by me once. Well, he did flew like Team Rocket when that happened.

It was actually funny how his mood swung around like that. On top of that, Takeru showed more emotions to my jokes and insults that were hard to understand thanked to my original culture as a Japanese.

Well... he's a descendant of Another World Hero. No wonder the knacks of Boke and Tsukkomi ran in his veins. His knowledge seemed to also earn him that ridiculous title.

In any case, I have cleared my training, graduating safely with my new sibling Leon. But when went back to the Cabin...

"...It's deserted. What’s going on?"

"Maybe your boyfriend died or something?"

"No way!? Hey! Feeeeiii! Where are you?!"

I ran into the Cabin and there's nothing! No life sign! No traces of someone living or dying! And there's no signs of pillaging even though I wished for Takeru's misfortune every day!!

I quickly went to the second floor and checked the room we stayed once before, but...

"...it's empty....... How could this be... Huh?"

What's that elongated object on the cupboard? And there's a letter beside it as if they were a set.

I checked the letter first with a frown. It was addressed for me. Don't tell me…?

……

“……ah. Is that so…? You intend to exact a revenge, straighten up some thugs and be the hero who saves the day. As an apology, you wanted to give me a gift, which is a sword that can shatter someday unlike a holy sword, and you want me to get no part in this theatrical development you’re enacting right at the moment.”

I see… I didn’t know that Fei suffered Chuunibyou. It’s already at the terminal stage too. Your way of heading off to the battlefields and leaving only a letter with a keepsake sounded as if the Ending of this fucked up eroge already arrived.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author's consent. Report any appearances on Amazon.

Well, in the end, I got to know who he was. The Seventh Prince of Raumia, the banished one who had suspicious backgrounds and complex mysteries. Hm… I don’t really get it but he tricked me huh? To think he hid his name all the time…

Wait, so he’s seriously the Protagonist? Am I the Heroine then? Have I already been Captured by him? And he even said he’s going to return to me so we’re already at the Climax stage?? Without anything special the Ending is already in front? Where’s the Event Cut-Scenes fans would drool and AWAKEN for, dear author?

……………………………

“To hell with that!!” I yelled as I broke the limits of patience.

I threw the letter to the ground and stomped at it for several times! Then I burned it with magic and swiftly taking out the keepsake wrapped with white cloth!!

Oh? it has thin blade, sharp double edges, and the crossguard along with the hilt were elaborately designed to fit my grasp. It’s really tuned for females to use and it’s surprisingly light.

But—as I stared at the sword with deep interests, there was a reflection of trembling face with ethereal glows of emerald under the shades of golden strands of hair……

“Huh… huh hu hu… Heh he he he he he…! I see! So that’s how it is!! You don’t think I’m worthy! You never even looked at me in the eyes!! So you’ve been thinking I am a bother all this time… eh…?”

I caressed the beautiful blade. It’s sharp, and it reflected light so well like a mirror. But for me… for this me who was chuckling uncontrollably as murky air surrounding me……

“Just you wait, Fei… No. Felix Sanctum Raumia… Just you wait as I am so going to kill you!! I’ll stab you so much that you will think the flame of the deepest hell as lukewarm compared to the pains I am going to inflict on you!!!!”

Stroking the sharp blade of the sword, the reflection of a girl smiling with ominous aura emanating around her was present. More like, the aura was undulating and growing sinister as time goes by!

“Ufu… ufufufuuu…… Ufufufufu! I’ll stab you… I’ll stab you. I’ll stab you. I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you I’ll stab you!!”

And… for some reasons, the ceiling is what I am seeing right now.

“………huh?”

“Oh, so you woke up. I wonder if it’s a good thing or not.”

T-takeru…? Wait, if you’re sitting on the couch… I’m at the first floor? Wait, why am I here?! And where’s the sword I was holding—

“G-gah!? I can’t… move……!!?”

“Well, you’re already tied with ropes like a log. As if I can allow you to go in rampage right now.”

What the hell!? This Evil Hermit always have something under his sleeves, dammit!! Stop interrupting my life as you please, you Secret Boss character!! Unhand me! Release me, you pervert! I still have a head to hunt for!!

I hollered at the guy but he simply chuckled. He got off the couch and he approached me. An ‘evil glee’ was presented and I shuddered in a moment!

“Fuh… Fuhahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! After all the troublesome five years, now I get to see YOU, a snotty brat finally groveling below me!! Hah ha ha ha! How’d ya feel, stupid little imp!?”

“G-gngngnnnnnngghhh!! D-damn you—gyah!?”

Owowowowow! Th-this bastard! He’s kicking me around as if I was a soccer ball! Hey! Stop it! Stop kicking me and spinning me around you bastaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrddddddddd!!!

“Ahah! Aha ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaa! This is what you get for getting cocky all the time you shitty braaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttt—“

Suddenly the door opened and Leon intruded, saying ‘Oooy, Big Sis, you’ve got guests’ like a little brother he ought to be!

Uuhhhm~! I felt happy to know I have a sibling but I want to be called ‘Onii-chan’ again…. well, before all that, this Evil Hermit really need to be taught a lesson and guests? Come to think of it, was I acquainted with someone other than Fei and the duo here?

“Charl~! Mommy and daddy have come to visit you—eh?”

“Agatha, don’t shout like that… it’s kind of… ah?”

“Huh?”

“Hm?”

“What?”

……………

……………………………

……

…………………For the lack of better words—time went frozen right at that moment.

Five pairs of eyes were staring dumbstruck. Each belonged to Takeru, whose grin stilled as he set his foot on my back. Next was mine. I who was on the floor, completely tied with ropes like a rolled sushi. After it was Leon’s, which were alternating his glances between me and the two persons behind him.

And the last two were—my mother and father in this second life. Agatha Augmund whose flaxen hair fluttered, looking youthful as ever AND having a feminine feature outclassing the most beautiful model in my world. Even after five years not meeting each other, she looked the same as always, though she was past 25 at this point…

The final was Alex Augmund. Both my father figure and also a practitioner of Draconic Sword-Style. In fact, he’s the founder of this ridiculous swordsmanship focused in monster slaying like the Kusanagi’s. Well, at least he didn’t have a skill to release the brain limiter but the techniques were still extremely dangerous.

……this is indeed a surprise. It’s true that I was very surprised by the sudden visit of my parents. In fact, I didn’t know they knew my location but that simply proved how related Takeru was with them. But wait a second! There’s a more fundamental problem here which is—

“You filthy bastard!!” Mother shouted and brandished two gauntlets out of nowhere!

“Tch! It’s the damned Lunatic again!!” Takeru uttered as he kicked me aside and spreading his arms to the sides. The fluttering cloak revealed a set of arsenal including needles, knives and some sticks embedded with crystals…

Wait, is that Stigma?! And he just squeezed one that the mana contained in it was going haywire! Or rather, aren’t I in danger here being in-between these two persons!?

“Wait—!“

A gust of wind caused dirt to hit my face. I squinted as it got in my eyes but – there was a sound as if metal was clashing.

“Huh…?” As I rubbed my eyes, I realized I was untied from my binding. H-how…?

“The two of you, there are children here. Enough with pointing blades at each other’s throat.”

Wh-what? How did father just warp from the doorstep and standing between the two? He had one sword drawn with the blade resting next to Takeru’s neck while his other hand, which was gloved, was placing a hand on mother’s gauntlet.

And those eyes… Wow, I can’t believe how cool he looked. Is this really the same father I often found complaining under mountain of documents…?

“Stand down,” Father ordered with an even sharper glare. “I’d prefer not to use violence to both of you.”

As the tension became so severe that I almost held my breaths in, the first response was…

“Tch. You really do have the knack to interrupt when it’s going my way, Second-in-Command.” Takeru said, then returned his vials and Stigmas into the pockets in his overcoat.

…to think that Takeru conceded, even more, taking the initiative shocked me. How in the… Just how strong is my father if he reacted swiftly like that…?

“…you as well, Agatha. No matter how hard you loathe him, we were once fellow Party Members.” Father said to mother. The flaxen haired woman mellowed out but her… eyes didn’t seem to say the same.

She’s watching Takeru, all the way to every single of his movement. The hostility between these two were unlike the others I found myself stumped until Leon helped me to get back up.

“You okay, sis?” He asked.

“Y-yeah… I’m alright, Leon.” I answered with a forced smile. Ugh, from your looks, I must be a bad liar huh?

However – that snapped a string. My parents turned their heads at me with frightening speed I almost heard a *crack* sound from their necks.

“’Sis’…?” Father parroted.

“’Leon’…?” Mother repeated.

Uh? Ah… well. I guess I pulled the trap this time, huh? How bad is my luck, really?
