"...soo... this is the place?"
Haru-san pushed up his spectacles and struck a pose. To be honest, you do look cool had you not introduced to us the source of your reference...
Still, I nodded down. Turning to my comrades, we're setting off toward one of the nests of the enemy faction.
More specifically, we're going to infiltrate and destroy a project which seemed to make an artificial recreation of the end of Ragnarok - Muspelheimmr's flame.
According to Freyja-sama, the finale is all about total massacre with the World Tree burned to ashes. And only two victors can be claimed as the winner.
Of course I don't like the sound of it. Even more, Freyja-sama informed us that the current Ragnarok is not supposed to end like before. The gods apparently wanted to find a new ending even they could not predict.
Still... with these core members, I don't think we have any place to be reassured.
Wind blows, bringing cold air and snows to us. I exhaled and a cloud of white breath formed in front of me before dissipating.
This place is cold... Why do we have to go all the way to the North Pole...?!
And aren't we dressed too lightly with just school uniforms and casual clothes!!? Aah, if only my alternative battle dress isn't damaged from previous fight...
"By the way, Arikacchi, what do you think of that bastard's plot?" Haru-san suddenly asked.
"What do you mean?" I asked back.
"We'll... he intends to reverse the thermal energy of the planet core as substitute of a grand magic. Why?"
Mh... as if I'd know about that. Rather, why is Haru-san asking me something so difficult? I don't even know what should I say about it...
"Maybe because of Fenrir?" Akashi-San conjectured. "He probably intend to give him more power so that he can 'eat the world'."
Ah. That could be the case.
"But they already have an improved Jormunganndr and Hel. Each of them can easily destroy the world many times...."
Fukaki-san fell into deep thought. Uuh... I feel downhearted too as we encountered him once. We practically stood no chance had Akashi-san did not arrive with his perfected Divine Weapon.
Now that I think about it... I'm the weakest in this group with how my power originate from a Valkyrie rather than a deity. I lack power and my abilities are so-so as of now.
Uuu... I feel depressed just knowing but no! I can't be this way!! I'm the leader so the survival of everyone is in my hands!!
"I have to stay confident!!" I fired up but I felt my shoulder being grabbed from behind.
"Eh--"
In the next moment, I bumped against someone's back and fell to my butt. It hurts...!
"H-Haru-san...!? What was that... for...?"
I looked upward and was stupefied. Everyone was doing the same and their eyes turned round at the sight.
"...what the hell... since when did this...?"
In front of us... in this North Pole where there shouldn't have been anything like civilization...
There. There is a massive structure towering to the heaven. It was a tower with abnormal design, uneven parts and seemingly so ethereal for even existing.
At the sight... even Haru-san who's well known as a prodigy grinned weakly.
"Looks like... someone actually made an orbital elevator without the appropriate knowledge. This has gone too crazy for me..."
...
"Still... the security is lax around here." Haru-san tapped at the map of the tower with a humming sound.
Well, there were some issues before we got the correct path but I think so too. Why? Because there seemed to be no security measure installed.
It's rather odd. Could the Orbital Elevator be a bluff and the real base is somewhere else?
"I don't think there's any bluff... it would cost him double the amount needed to make this behemoth of a structure." Haru-san muttered. "Rather, if he bluffed then there's no need to even redirect the US' energy reactors in the oil field here."
Ah. So that's it.
"Maybe he's hiding underground?" Fukaki-san said.
"Probably. But the real deal is the leylines and the Convergence Point." Haru-san sighed.
Eh... now what's that? I wonder if it's a name of a product. Akashi-san smiled wryly, saying 'Sorry, but I don't catch well.'
"You two need to pick up your study. No wonder you're still at top five in the middle."
"Auu...! So what if my rank is average?!"
I hissed at the rude man but he shrugged as if finding something uninteresting! Kiii...! Why are you overreacting to every little things when you're with Onii-chan and not when with us!?
After a while, we arrived somewhere looking like underground tunnel. The air is strangely warm and I felt something strange.
"The mana is very unstable..." Fukaki-san muttered as beads of sweats trickled down her forehead.
"A-are you okay, Fuuki?" Akashi-san stayed close to her worriedly.
"Un... maybe because the mana instability, my right eye hurts..." Fukaki-san answered.
Uh.. isn't that bad? I looked at Haru-san but his expression visibly hollowed out.
"H-Haru...san...?" I asked and then I heard a screech.
"Fuuki...!? What's wrong?!"
I could hear Akashi-san's frantic voice. He's holding Fukaki-san who entered spasms and screaming. Her hand at the eyepatch sealing her magical eye and she looks really pale!!

"Haru-san, what's going on?!" I turned around hoping for an answer from our strategist.
But contrary to my expectation, even Haru-san was gaping his mouth wide. He's stunned still for several seconds and the moment he snapped back to reality-
"This is bad! Get out of this place, quick!!" He roared.
"Wheeeeerreee do you think you are going, Loki.......!!!"
What!? This voice... it cant be!!
Then the tunnel suddenly deformed! From the once steel plating walls and ceilings... everything distorted, losing their metallic color and becoming dark red. The interior throbbed, the deep sound of heartbeat could be felt, the foul smell began to reach us from the darkness ahead and...
Rows of fangs suddenly lined up as if surrounding us from upside and down.
"This is Fenrir's mouth! This place is nothing more than a trap!!"
"TOOOOOO LAAAAATTTEEEEEE!!"
The ceiling abruptly descended. I was thrown off balance and before darkness consumed me, I saw Haru-san stretching his hands to me...
Ah. So you can show that face...
*CRUSHES!!*

-Fenrir's POV-
Hah! To think they fell to a simple trap like this...! As I thought, picking humans have been the wrong choices, you damned Aesirs!!
I laughed as I could feel the presences inside my belly. Now that I imprisoned Freyja's Champions, I can just use their power and attack Valhalla!!
Not only that, I have many Divine Weapons and I can use the girl with Odin's Eye! Now I'm invincible!!
"Don't get cocky now, Fenrir-chan! We've yet to reach the main dish!"
Ooh? I looked down, at the man who's operating something he called Quantum Computer. Looks like he's going to do something like Loki would but he's still inferior.
Even so. To think that he made all of this underground...
Cables are strewn everywhere. From the dark tunnel above, light could never penetrate and we're right in the smack of the leyline.
Since leyline point is a place where convergence of natural mana said to gather in excess, this place is the best place for magic users and deities to train and expand their mana reserve.
Still, almost half of this huge hole in Midgard has been used up to store useless things related to Iriel's business. And the stranger thing is...
"Oy. Why do you even need to imprison these Champions?" I asked. "Why can't I devour them?"
"Nothing bad. It's just their Fates are connected together so they have powerful use for setting up the table."
Haa... but where's the main dish? I'm hungry. Even I won't feel satisfied forever by draining these puny humans from their mana. I need something more delicious...
Like Odin's flesh. Or maybe the one who took me in as a pet. What was his name again...?
"Anyway, now that we have the core cast... All we need to do is drawing out the Big Boss and arrange for the cook!"
Iriel looked up, a wide smile carved on his face. He's seriously like a child had he not placed a naked human girl inside a tube full of odd liquid in front of him.
Even more, she looks pitiful. Supported by a mere cable to aid her survival, her consciousness has been drowned in the Abyss while her back was pierced with cables and steel rods.
The only grace was that by days, she became more beautiful and mature. Could this be growth acceleration? But even her mana reserve multiply by folds...
Strange. This girl... just what is she? And what's with those hair and eye color...? Somehow, it made my fur to shudder for reason unknown to me.
"Heh he he...! This will be fun for sure! That Asshole fled completely from this world but some remnants scattered and attached themselves in this girl!"
Iriel walked up to the tube and touched the glass separating them. He leaned forward and rubbed his cheek as his eyes glowed with indescribable obsession.
"Heh... heh he heeee! Don't worry... I'll mess you up slowly... slowly and break you until not even pieces will remain... There's no need to worry..."
...to be honest. He's a real psycho here. Even I, a godslaying beast can't help but be appalled by his sick interests in someone who has nothing to do with his failure.
But... Unknown to me, those mad eyes seemed to see something far beyond what anything could perceive. He stared intently at the poor girl's eyes and he snickered.
There, shrouded by mist, deep within the hollow emerald color...
"I'll see you soon... Then. I'll break your limbs, tear your body, deprave you and shatter your mind... He he...! I won't let you escape after ruining my plan... But if I can't drag you to Hell... then I will bring Hell to you!! Ke hi hi hi hi hiiii!"

A/N: Almost forgot. I need some help to consult about the story and I would like to hire a PR. Well, the work won't be too tough as it's based on whims. Somehow, I feel like I'm envisioning the notorious Writer Block as of lately, causing me to become nonsensical when writing a chapter.
Anyone agreed with me that the quality is going up and down for times?
