47- I was asleep the whole time

Thompson, Beatrix and Michael walked through the dark hallways with their phones in hand to light the way

Thompson walked in front while Michael and Beatrix moved slowly behind him, looking at their surroundings warily.

The closer they got to their target, the more their expressions changed, especially when Beatrix saw the bloody scratches on the door of Alexander's room.

"Young Master..." Beatrix whispered bitterly.

The three approached the door with hesitant steps

They were afraid of the sight that awaited them inside the room

They all imagined what Alexander would be like after the ghost caught him

Thompson reached for the doorknob with a trembling hand

He touched the cold metal doorknob and turned to his companions

Even Thompson was worried about their fight against the haunted doll

Will they be able to survive this experience?

Thompson opened the door slowly

Cliik!

Beatrix gritted her teeth in response to this annoying squeak

She swore that after this crisis was over, she would make sure to break down this door and come up with another door that wouldn't make such annoying sounds.

The room was quiet and the lights were off

But they noticed someone on the bed

They directed their phone flashlights towards the bed to find Alexander lying on the bed with a calm face and closed eyes.

"..." Was he asleep the whole time?

Michael and Beatrix began scanning the room using the phone's light

Most of the palace's furniture was destroyed and the walls were scratched by the ghosts that were wandering in the place

But Alexander's room was strangely arranged and nothing was broken

Michael and Beatrix looked at Thompson skeptically

Their looks were like, 'Didn't you say that there was a haunted doll that entered Alexander's room?' .

Thompson shook his head to answer his companions' doubts, still not believing that Alexander was still okay

He was sure that that powerful ghost had entered Alexander's room.

"I'm sure the ghost has entered the room.." Thompson whispered in his defense.

"Hmm? Why did the place become so quiet all of a sudden?.." Michael entered the room and headed towards the window

"What do you mean?". Beatrix asked him as she followed him.

After Michael looked out the window for a moment, he whispered excitedly, "The snowstorm has stopped."

"truly..". Thompson stood beside him to check the situation

Beatrix was standing next to the bed, examining Alexander. She let out a sigh of relief after she was sure that Alexander was not hurt

Alfred was driving his car at full speed to reach the palace as soon as possible

He went to an acquaintance who worked at the church in hopes of learning the identity of the Chosen One who had appeared in Cairn City

Alfred rarely leaves the palace due to his responsibilities of managing the servants and guards when Theodore is not in the palace

But he decided to break this rule this time to help Alexander achieve his goals

He will only leave the palace for one day

What could happen during this time?

When he got the news about the ghosts taking over the Ford family mansion, his jaw nearly dropped to the floor

He only left the palace for one day. Where the hell did these ghosts come from?

Alfred was able to reach the palace quickly due to the empty roads

Everyone was hiding in their homes

Some crazy people tried to go out looking for some excitement

But they ended up meeting some strange creatures that were hovering around the place, and some of these idiots were severely injured

Therefore, citizens adhered to the authorities' orders to hide in their homes

The area around the palace was surrounded by barricades and police cars

Alfred parked the car and got out

"You?..". A man wearing a thick military coat approached him

This was Cairn City Police uniform, they only use it in the winter

But the snow that was falling around the Ford family mansion made the place cold, so the police and reporters were forced to wear thick clothes.

"I am the butler of the Ford family..." Alfred revealed his identity

"You are Mr. Alfred?.." The policeman looked at him in shock

They received information that all of the Ford family's servants were being held captive inside the palace

How did the butler get out of there?

Alfred told him that he was outside the palace to do some important work, and he came here after he received news that the palace was being attacked by ghosts.

The officer wanted to ask Alfred some questions.

But he was interrupted by a policeman who was completely covering himself with black clothes and wearing black glasses. "Officer Klaus, the storm has stopped, vehicles can move now."

"Send the helicopters in now." Officer Klaus shouted orders

The police forces began preparing to enter the palace.

The army of reporters followed as well.

Although Klaus warned them of the seriousness of the situation, the reporters confirmed their willingness to bear all risks to get some pictures of the palace's condition.

This may be the most important scoop of their lives

Helicopters carrying soldiers who will enter the palace moved to rescue survivors

While the police forces moved using vehicles equipped to move on unpaved roads

Alfred, of course, accompanied them

When they arrived at the palace, the helicopters landed and the cars stopped

Whether they were policemen, soldiers or reporters, they all took a cold breath at the sight in front of them

The outer walls of the palace were full of terrifying scratches

There were handprints of different sizes, some of which reached seven meters in size, which made everyone wonder about the entity that left this horrific handprints.

This was a fine example of a so-called ghost palace

Journalists started taking pictures

While the soldiers and policemen moved towards the front door

They started searching the place looking for survivors

They expected to see a bloody scene, but they were surprised to find all the servants gathered inside the library

Although the palace was destroyed, the people inside the palace were not harmed

"Young Master..." Alfred rushed to Alexander and hugged him with all his might

Alexander patted Alfred on the back. "Alfred, you must learn to calm your feelings. You are easily affected by trivial matters..."

All the servants were speechless

While they were living their most difficult and frightening days, Alexander was sleeping in his room, not caring about the chaos that had occurred.

The servants were jealous of Alexander's ability to sleep, which allowed him to avoid the horrors they experienced

The police began conducting investigations with all the palace workers

Alexander was sitting in the library and watching the news with the rest of the servants

His eyes were about to pop out of their sockets due to shock

"...." Ghosts invaded the city?

Alexander knew that the spiritual potion would attract wandering spirits

But where on earth did all these Ghosts come from?

Fortunately, he purchased these materials secretly

If someone finds out that he is the reason for the ghost attack, he will be in big trouble

Beatrix woke him up and brought him to the library. At first he didn't know what was happening

But after he saw the chaos the place was in, he immediately realized that the spirits had caused a big problem in the place

Alexander praised himself for making sure his room was protected using talismans

If those ghosts enter his room, they will eat him alive

I have to contact Elliot and make him keep this a secret... This is the first idea that came to Alexander's mind

Elliot was the only person who knew about these materials

Most likely, he knows that these materials are related to sorcery rituals

Therefore, Alexander must make sure to convince Elliot to keep his mouth shut

Security forces arrived at the library and began investigating everyone

"I was asleep the whole time..." Alexander pretended to be innocent, sitting like a polite child
