210- 'Good Boy' Plan

“So what’s your plan?”

Alexander and Charlotte sat at a table in the academy cafeteria.

Alexander’s side was filled with empty plates of various sizes while Charlotte only had an iced coffee in her hand.

“We’re going to use the ‘good boy’ plan to arrange a trip to the dungeons.” Alexander picked up a potato and popped it into his mouth.

“Good boy? What is that?” Charlotte felt that name was a bit strange.

Alexander showed a meaningful smile, “It’s you…”

“What?” Charlotte still didn’t get it.

“Most teachers put on a tough front and act rough with their students, but they always have a fatal weakness…” Alexander swirled the potato in circles in the air, “They always like hardworking and intelligent students, and they often accept such students’ requests.”

Charlotte listened quietly and focused on the plan

Alexander continued, "And here we will use this to convince the instructors to accept our request to arrange a training trip to the dungeons."

Charlotte nodded with a look of understanding, "In that case we will send a student who is loved by all the instructors to convince them of this."

"Exactly..." Alexander said before stuffing his mouth with a sandwich

"But who is this student that everyone loves?" Charlotte lowered her head as she thought of all the students she knew to find someone who meets these special specifications

"..." Alexander stopped chewing and looked at her with a stupid look

"What...?" Charlotte felt his strange gaze towards her

Alexander swallowed the food and pointed at Charlotte's chest, "You are the good student here."

"Me?" Charlotte pointed at herself in shock

"Yes..." Alexander nodded with absolute confidence, "All the instructors look at you as an ideal student, you are the good boy here."

Charlotte began to think about it and found that his words made sense.

“Actually…” Alexander stroked his chin gently, “In your case, you are a good girl.”

“…” Why does it sound so weird when it comes out of your mouth?

This wasn’t the first time she had received a compliment, but when Alexander called her a good girl, it made her feel like there was something wrong with it.

“Settle down, you’re going to play the good girl.”

"Stop calling me that, it's creepy..." Charlotte had to stop Alexander from continuing to use that name on her or else it would be embarrassing if someone else heard them.

"Well..." Alexander didn't press the issue too much.

Then he quickly turned his attention to the side, "Look who we have here."

Charlotte looked where Alexander was looking.

Vincent was carrying a plate of steak with some mashed potatoes as he walked with some young men.

Alexander shouted towards him, "Oi, Vincent..."

Vincent stopped and looked at them in surprise.

Alexander waved his hand, motioning for Vincent to come closer to them.

Vincent said something to his friends before he started moving towards the table where Alexander and Charlotte were sitting.

Vincent sat down next to Alexander and placed his plate on the table, "What's up?"

Alexander informed Vincent about their desire to go to the headmistress of the academy to get a permit to allow their class Going on a training trip to the dungeons near the city

"I don't understand why you chose those dungeons, but I don't mind going there, I'm sure it'll be a nice outing." Vincent didn't object and instead enthusiastically agreed immediately

"That's the spirit..." Alexander patted his back with a laugh

"..." I think he told you it was a training trip, not a walk

Charlotte was at a loss for words when she saw that Vincent didn't take it seriously, then she looked at Alexander, "Didn't you say that I would take on the task of convincing the principal?"

"Tsk tsk..." Alexander clicked his tongue several times while shaking his head, "A good boy is great, but you know what's even better?"

"A good boy?" Vincent asked in confusion

Alexander ignored him and held up two fingers, "The best would be if we had two good boys, in which case you would be the good girl and Vincent would be the good boy".

"I am the good boy? Are you cursing me?..." Vincent frowned, his feeling that Alexander's intentions were not right still lingering.

Charlotte rubbed her forehead, giving up any hope of convincing Alexander to stop using that word.

Alexander explained the plan to Vincent.

"As long as it allows me to skip Professor Hausen's class, I'm with you." Vincent immediately agreed.

"..." So you're going to do all this just to skip class?

Charlotte was starting to feel that Vincent was even less trustworthy than Alexander.

But quickly Vincent frowned in concern, "But I'm not good at convincing people."

"And I don't know what to say to convince the principal." Charlotte expressed her concerns after Vincent brought up the subject.

"Don't worry..." Alexander reassured them, "I'll handle this. All you have to do is nod and affirm my words."

It became clear to Charlotte and Vincent that being with Alexander was all that mattered because It will give credibility to his request and nothing more.

"Good, let's go..." Alexander stood up

"Can you wait until I finish my meal? It would be a waste to throw it away like that." Vincent pointed with his eyes towards his plate containing fries and steak

"No need to throw it away." Alexander picked up the plate and emptied its contents into his mouth and chewed it several times before swallowing it

"..." Vincent and Charlotte watched this movement in shock

Alexander looked like a predator who swallowed his prey in one go

"Let's go..." Alexander wiped his mouth with his sleeve and started moving

The three of them stopped in front of a huge wooden door that had beautiful carvings that resembled flowers

This was the door to the principal's office, they had to get her approval if they wanted to carry out their plan

Alexander walked forward and extended his fist towards the door

Knock! Knock!

"You can come in." A voice came from inside the office

Alexander opened the door and entered with confident steps, followed by Charlotte and Vincent

But Alexander's confident steps soon faltered when he realized that Anna was not alone in the office

There were about twenty instructors present here

".." Oh no

Alexander realized that he was in trouble from the unconventional looks that the instructors were giving him

None of these instructors looked at him positively because of his behavior in their classes

This made him feel that he would now pay the price for his laziness during lessons and training

He was supposed to talk to Anna alone, but with the instructors present, that became impossible because his plan might fail if one of the instructors stepped forward and decided to object to the idea of the training trip

In fact, they didn’t even have to object, their lack of enthusiasm for the idea in front of Anna was enough to ruin their idea

Alexander rolled his eyes slightly back to look at Charlotte and Vincent

Vincent nodded his head in full support, and so did Charlotte

“Oh, Marco…” Anna intertwined her fingers and leaned slightly on her desk, “What brings you here?”

Alexander took a deep breath and began his speech, “We are here to say something important about our training.”

The instructors listened with very calm and unimpressed expressions

"And what is it that you want to talk about..." A woman with beautiful amber hair and very relaxed eyes smiled., asking on behalf of everyone

Alexander knew that the instructors' intervention was inevitable, so he decided to take action to withdraw, raising his finger with a smile, "That's a good question..."

Then he pointed his finger at Vincent, "And Vincent is the one who will answer you."

Vincent took a step back when he saw that the attention was completely focused on him

He looked at Alexander incomprehensibly

Didn't you say that you were the one who would take the lead?

Why did you throw the responsibility on me then?

Vincent looked towards Charlotte for help but was surprised that Charlotte was slowly moving away to create space between them so that she wouldn't get involved in the matter.

Those two swindlers!... Vincent cursed them internally.

But he couldn't back down now, so he straightened his back and spoke, "Actually, since Marco came here, we haven't gone on a training trip, so we thought of going for one—"

"I think you guys went to train in the mountains two months ago..." A rough voice interrupted him from the crowd of instructors, and it was Hausen.

Vincent swallowed when he saw Hausen stepping forward to confront him. This man was the most difficult instructor to deal with because of his bad temper and rough personality.

"That's right..." Vincent didn't deny Hausen's words and continued, "But we have another reason..."

Vincent then pointed to Alexander, "And Marco is the one who will explain this reason to you..."

Alexander's eyes widened when he saw that the ball had returned to His playground

"..." Are you here to play ping pong?

The instructors felt that there was something wrong because the matter was being passed from one person to another as if they were in a blame game.

Alexander knew that he was being cornered, so he cleared his throat and started talking while looking for a suitable reason, "In the south, we are used to field training all the time, so when I heard from Vincent that they had trained in the mountains a while ago, the idea of going on a training trip with the rest of the class came to me.

"All I want is to build a strong relationship with my teammates, and at the same time use the valuable time in training instead of hanging around."

The instructors looked at each other, and they did not seem to reject this idea at all.

Only Hausen looked at Alexander suspiciously.

This kid had been hanging around and being lazy during training even after receiving a fair number of scoldings.

But now this lazy student came here to ask to go on a training trip.

How could Hausen not suspect this?

Alexander stopped, waiting for their reaction.

This was the moment that would decide everything.

That makes sense to me…” The amber-haired, relaxed-eyed instructor was the first to speak up, supporting this idea.

After this instructor broke the ice, the others began to agree one by one, and even the stern Hausen remained silent and did not expose himself further.

"Okay..." Anna raised her hand to calm everyone down and then addressed Alexander and his companions, "Your class can go on this training trip, just send the information about the training location along with the name of the instructor who will supervise you."

"Thank you..." The trio bowed to the instructors and the principal, then quietly left the room.

As soon as they were outside the room, Alexander felt a blow on his shoulder.

"Ouch..." Alexander rubbed his shoulder and looked at Vincent who punched him.

"Consider it the price for betraying me a while ago." Vincent smiled and started walking away.

"I had to, you know..." Alexander shouted from behind him.

Vincent waved without looking back, "I'll go tell our class about this."

After Vincent was far away, Alexander turned to Charlotte, "Okay, we're done with this, all that's left is to go there and find out where the curse came from."

Charlotte's eyes became filled with determination, "Let's end this once and for all."
