Rachel was dressed in khaki shorts, a white top, and a sun hat. She sat next to Ryan, who was dressed in a black t-shirt with a red button-down shirt over it. And khaki shorts. They both had black and orange steel-toe sneakers. They sat on the left side of the plane and had been waiting to deplane the two engines. The flight from Columbia to Porto Velho was very smooth. Twice, the plane lost power to the left-side engine. Ryan swore he would never fly in his entire life again. He stood up and helped Rachel to her feet. Ryan took their hiking bags, and they walked to the door to deplane. The runway staircase was pulled so close to the plane that it made Ryan feel like a president visiting a country. They walked down the stairs and on to the hot blacktop. The passengers all walked to the glass doors of the small airport. The air-conditioned building was a nice break from the humid atmosphere in the Amazon Rainforest. Ryan and Rachel walked through the lobby and out the front doors. Three taxis were sitting outside, waiting for new tourists to fill them. Ryan flagged one down, and the pair got in the middle. The driver walked to his side and opened the door. Sitting in the driver's seat, he started the car.
“So where are you folks headed?” Paol asked.
“We are just needing a ride out of town.” Rachel said with a smile, “My friend and I are just waiting for a friend there.”
“It’s dangerous, Senhorita; please let me take you to a nice hotel.” Said the Brazilian man.
“It will be fine, Senor. But we can take care of ourselves.” Ryan chimed in.
"Hey, it’s your funeral; I was just trying to keep you from making a big mistake.” The man said, dropping the accent, “But if you insist on throwing away your lives,” Pulling out a small revolver, she said, “Give me all your money and get out of the cab.”
With a twist of Ryan’s hand, the revolver twisted his enemy's fingers in the trigger guard. Ryan grabbed the gun and emptied the revolver. The bullets fell to the carpeted floor, and then the gun fell with a thud.
“So this is how it’s going to go.” Ryan said.
Before he could finish his sentence, the man jumped out of the car and ran away. Ryan sighed and got in front; he drove them away from the airport. He took the highway to the nearest forest exit. He drove them until the car was out of gas, and by then they had driven over three hundred miles. They walked deeper into the jungle and were now on their own. Ryan cast a spell and tried to find a faint sight of human indication. Unfortunately, they didn’t find any, only wild animals. Ryan walked out in front of Rachel.
“svorfn->2 lcbtvm” Ryan said out loud, "Watch out, Rachel.”
A huge enochian circle expanded and was illuminated blue. Small water balls expanded and hung suspended in mid-air. The small blue water spheres floated around them and gathered in a small bucket.
"Well, that takes care of fresh water and shower needs.” Rebecca said, “I’ll put up a camouflage barrier here instead, but.”
She brought both arms out in front of her. A red and yellow flame exploded from her arms. Her eye blackened, and everything around a twelve-square-mile area was now in an alternate dimension. Rachel’s demon powers had grown from excessive training. She started to undress and looked back at him. The rose garden that she was growing had been a love gift from Ryan. Ryan had selected each rose from different gardens around the earth. Orisorin had told both Rebecca and Ryan about the ancient alternate Earth. The garden was carefully designed to enhance the colors of Rebecca’s favorite rose. Her yellow roses were planted on the roof of the dimension. Black roses covered the walls, adding an infinite depth. The ground had red and green rose petals that felt like you had stepped on a heavenly cloud. The water spheres intermingled with the roses and drew in their moisture for nutrients.
“Ryan, didn’t I tell you to water my flowers before we left?” Rebecca asked.
“Well, you see what happened.” That was all he managed to say before being kicked out of the three-dimensional space. "Well, that’s just great; you forgot to water the plants twice. Well, I guess it is her right. Well, let's see if I can find a little green guy out here.”
Ryan walked ahead of them before he got too far. Ryan cast a massive enchantment that covered her dimensional space. The purple Enochian circle was intricately designed with planetary bodies and elemental structures. The circle dimmed and disappeared. The forest was once again as loud as it was in the morning. Except in the middle, where sound was muffled. Gravity seemed to have a weird effect, just like the Oregon vortex. Ryan kissed the air and thought he saw a figure kiss the air, but he just thought it was his imagination. He walked deep into the forest, where he came across a cave. He looked deep inside himself and decided that he was not going in. The cave's entrance was so small that he thought he couldn’t even enter. He grabbed a stone and a small piece of chalk. He inscribed the stone, and it began to glow. The intense heat was burning his finger, so he dropped the stone on the ground. He quickly picked it up and threw the rock into the cave opening. The stone skipped across the rocky surface of the ground. The clanking echoed off in the distance. He could still see the light and was counting when the stone disappeared. He did the calculations in his head and whistled when he realized that it was further down the cave than he had anticipated. Ryan looked around and saw that no one, or anything for that matter, was around. He took an orange spray can and sprayed the entrance of the cave. He figured if he had time, he would investigate it when he had the time. Taking out his smartphone, he tagged the coordinates down and slipped the phone in his pocket. He looked around the forest; the dense green foliage was alive with creatures Ryan had never seen before.

After exploring the forest for the night, Rebecca caught up to Ryan through the paint he left on the trees. They saw an abandoned city; the stone structures had crumbled away during the years, so algae, jungle vines, and birds had made this once-vast civilization their home now. Rebecca managed to spot some ruins on the way here. Ryan came walking behind her with what looked like fabric. The same fabric his master John had when he was taking.
“Where did you find that?” Rebecca said.
“I spotted it when I used my magic to locate him.” Ryan replied, "Well, guess it worked.”
“Just luck; I bet next time you have trouble.” She teased him, “So you think he’s here?”
“That’s what I’m hoping for.” Ryan said, “Of at the very least a lead.”
The pair looked around the stone city. The vegetation was thriving through truly broken structures. Small insects that had never been seen before. Ryan noticed one thing in particular that caught his eye. The insect was twelve feet long. Two inches in diameter, a scorpion tail, and a thousand individual spider legs. Its head had six eyes, an ant's mandibles, and tears like worms. He saw these insects when he was traveling the multiverse with Orisorin. He grabbed a stick about two feet long and pushed the insects away. Turning to Rebecca, who was walking towards him.
“Carful, Rebecca; those insects are poisonous.” Ryan pointed at the large insect.
“Holy shit, that thing is big.” Rebecca shouted.
“That’s what you said two nights ago!” Ryan said, laughing, “I’m sorry, but you set me up for it.”
“Oh haha.” Rebecca said, laughing, “So how do you know it’s poisonous?”
“Remember when we went earth-hopping?” Ryan said, still looking for any sign of John, “It was our twentieth earth trip. Orisorin took me to a spot where I could get a good view.”
“Oh, ok.” Rebecca said, “That was the planet where the oceans had a tropical color to the water, wasn’t it?”
“Yes, the vacation earth.” Ryan responded, “I would love to go back to that planet someday.”
“Hell yea.” Rebecca yelled back, “The place was a heaven on earth.”
Rebecca walked to Ryan and unconsciously walked on a stone step. The small tile sank in, and the stone top caved in. The couple fell into the open mouth and disappeared into the black darkness. The stone floor slowly closed and once again looked like nothing had happened. The stone tile popped up again, and the animal sounds rang deaf. A stone panther was jumping around the jungle branches, landed next to the stone switch, and sniffed the ground. It growled and ran off into a stone house to enter the lower depths. The stone guard flew down the stone steps. Torches light the way every ten feet. Reaching the bottom, the larger, thirty-foot stone doors depict a wizard. No face is seen; his blue robes had holes. His staff was held up high, and most of the staff was worn away. The right side of the stone door depicted darkness. A white outline that showed a nightmare creature. The things that could be seen, at least where there are many eyes, The bottom half had been defaced; all trace was gone. The algae and overgrowth looked like it had been done before anyone had been born.
“Alya, I beg you, please don’t open those doors.” John said, “That thing will end this earth.”
“That’s a small price to pay for what I have planned.” Ayla’s voice was now deeper, “Well, hello, John, do you remember me?”
John was in a kneeling position, looking at his former student. He was holding his wooden staff; the tip was blooded. He looked up at the roof of the cave. A wide-circle opening appeared. Two stone slabs parted like the Red Sea. Then two human bodies appeared. One had demonic wings and a dark blood illumination coming from the body. The second had a staff with a crystal, and the mana overspill that filled the body was purple. They fell down in a controlled fashion. Then they slowed more and then floated. One figure looked to be pointing in his direction. In an instant, the two figures that had been suspended were now black smoke. A fireball was also present for a split second. The smoke clears with the ventilation. The smoke escaped through cracks that reached the surface of the earth.
“Azathoth, I might have known.” John spat out the word, “Let her go; she is not a part of this.”
“Oh, John, how I missed you.” The deep voice began to laugh, and her mouth began to stretch in a sharp, toothy smile. “I’m going to enjoy our conversation in the future, but first let me finish.”
“Azathoth, I beg you, please let her go and have me, please.” John shouted, “I’ll gladly let you go; just use my body.”
“Mmm, interesting.“ Ayla said, floating towards him, “One of Merlin’s apprentices, that is an interesting deal.”
“Yes, I know, but can you afford to pass this opportunity up?” John said, then looked her in the eyes, “So what is it going to be?”
“Fine, but if you pull something, then I will not only take her soul, but yours and your wife’s.” The female voice was now a monstrous deep growl, and a dark shadow emerged from her. “Now this is going to hurt a lot.”
“Ahhhhhhh.” John screamed with an unnatural tone, “Hahahahaha, your screams are a pleasure in my new body.”
Ayla’s body fell hard to the ground, and the sound of broken bones and organs rupturing was music to the monstrosity that had taken John’s body. Blood was pouring out of her body and pooling around her. John floated above her and then away. The possessor flew without a second glance. Azathoth flew back to finish his job, extending his right hand as he chanted a spell.
“Os tivzg wvhgilbvi, i trev gsv oruv lu gsrh kozmg gl lkvm blfi vgvimzo wlli.” John’s deep voice sounded overlapped: “Nld lkvm zmw uvzhg, ls tivzg vgvimzo glw xlnv zmw uvvw!”
The massive stone doors opened, and a loud, reverberating sound echoed through the chamber. Stone stalactites fell and crashed around Ayla’s body and John’s. The two doors opened at the pace of a snail. When the opening was the height of an NBA basketball player, three large tentacle fingers grabbed the slowest door. The bluish, purple squid skin was slimy and secreted through their skin. Slim ran down the door. The image was eaten away, and the stone was once again like new. A deep roar came from the small opening and echoed through the cave.
