The brick wall exploded, and the graffiti that was spray painted on was sent into small fragments and scattered on the parked cars on the street. John Dee landed on a parked car, leaving the left side of the BMW badly damaged. He was bloodied and was missing his left arm. His glasses were shattered, and his right eye was shut closed. His right eye was black; it was closed with blood flowing from it. He felt his life force draining from his body.
A cat-like humanoid jumped from the hole in the wall. He was standing a clear eight feet, with his cat ears making it eight feet, three inches. It’s mixed brown, black blond, and orange fur was clean; not a single drop of blood was on it. He’s eyes burned yellow, and his wet, red nose was glistening from the light. It was on its legs, and his tail was half gone. An old injury from its youth.
"Well, well, well, if it isn’t Johnathan Dee, so tell me where my niece is, you rotten human.” The cat hissed.
“What you’re not going to introduce yourself first?” John spat out, with it blood.
“The name is …..”
The dream was beginning to sound like the sound was coming in on low volume. The corners of his eyes began to cloud with white clouds. He jerked up in his sleep and Rachel was lying next to him. A skeleton of a small dragon was displayed on his shelf. A cat was curled up in the cat tree.
“Ryan walk up your dreaming walk up.” Rachel was saying while she shook Ryan awake.
“What happened, I was just dreaming woman leave me be.” Ryan said angrily, “Give me a massage before you leave, and tell your sister to come in it’s time for me to have fun.”
The vision began to ripple like water. The image then became too distorted to see. The waters of the silver bowl was filled to the brim the dark waters made the vision clear. John Dee was reciting the same words echoing in the winter filled bowl. The water began to boil the steam was lifting from the now bubbling liquid. The evaporation was emptying the metal bowl.
“Interesting tell me is this the same vision you keep seeing night after night?” John asked while resting his head on his interlaced fingers.
“No it’s changing, the vision is different?” Ryan replied amazed, “What did we do to change it?”
Ryan lend back in the chair, and John Dee picked the bowl up. He walked over the sink from the table, and dumped the bowl in the sink. The water splashed and circled the sink. A roar from the spinning water was echoing in the small studio room.
“It seems that leaving the demons alone was what triggered an earlier version.” John try to explain.
“So we just have to find out exactly how to change the sequence of events and where to find the big fluffy cat?” Ryan said, “That might be harder than expected? And there are a lot of were-cats in the city. Just going off a very common pattern scheme that’s like finding John smith in the yellow pages.”
“Yes true, and by the time we actually find something it may be too late.” John Dee interjected, “It’s good to know that my apprentice is actually learning something.”
Ryan looked at John Dee and asked him, “So why did I see an evil version of me sleeping with Rachel, who we I guess killed the Dagron, and what looked like your be headed head?”
John Dee looked deep into Ryan’s brown eye’s and with the most serious looking face, “Because it shows what you truly want I’m your heart.”
John Dee let the last sentence hang then said, “I’m only joking Ryan, mmmh the look in your eyes. No, it’s an artifact from the Library and since it’s connected the library likes to joke sometimes. The library never ruins the vision thats why it looks like a dream with in a dream.”
“Let me thank the Library next time we are there will you?” Ryan said and stood up, “I’m going down stairs and waiting in the car.”
“I’ll be down in a minute.” John Dee said as he got a small mirror out from his pocket.
Ryan walked out the door and the door closed shut. John Dee held the mirror in his right hand and chanted an incantation. The image was that of a ware-cat they where looking for. The cat had a mixed color fur and yellow eyes.
“Zephyr, it’s me we are going to the warehouse now. Be ready.” Said John Dee.

“Good make sure to lead him through the back door.” Said Zephyr, “Now go and remember the back door.”
The image flickered off and he placed the mirror in his back pocket. John Dee walked to the door and walked out and walked to the car. He sat in passenger seat and relaxed. Ryan drove off to the harbors he pulled into the docks and parked behind a warehouse. The building was fifteen feet high, twenty feet long, and twenty feet wide. The double doors were open and he and John Dee walked into the building. Ryan had his staff at the ready in his right hand. The blue shirt gripping his body his body was beginning to look noticeably in it. He’s blue jeans and sneakers that were white with an X on it.
The lights over head came on the blinding lights illuminated and blinded Ryan. Ryan dropped his staff and covered his eyes. John Dee grabbed the wooden thing and tossed it to a gigantic were-cat with yellow eyes, and multicolored fur. He was standing on an over hang and in his clawed hands the real John Dee. Zephyr dropped John Dee from the five foot tall concrete stand. The impact of the body made a sickening noise. Ryan’s stomach turned with a sense that he may have to take on not one, but two different creatures.
“So you must be the fur ball who I’ve been trying to look for?” Ryan shouted from the bottom.
“Yes, my name is..” zephyr began, but Ryan cut him off.
“You talk too much!” Ryan shouted as he held his hand up and blue light was flashing from his hand, three blue light balls shot from his palm.
They flew toward the giant cat who was using his right arm to bat them away. What he did see was the three bigger shots Ryan managed to fire off three bigger bursts of magic missiles. They had impacted the giant cat on his left side. Fur was charred and smoldering. The faint smell of burnt cat hair hung there. Ryan ducked in behind the office of the building. He took a necklace from his back pocket and began to chant an incantation. The pendent began to glow with blue intense light. The heat that was coming of it was making Ryan sweat, beads of sweat wear building up on his brow. The pendent was now building up energy it began to pulse and the more stuff interacted with the bigger and it got and the pulse began to quicken. Once the ball had reached its peak the ball blinked twice and then Ryan threw the pendent at the cat.
The huge cat was still recovering from the attack the Ryan had cast. He was still coughing and white smoke was stating to clear up. He opened his eyes and saw that the human was now holding a small blue energy ball.
“Hahahahaha” Zephyr laughed, “You think that small ball is enough to take me down?”
“No.” Ryan replied then through the pendent and flew towards the cat, “It’s just to keep you distracted.”
Ryan threw through the pendent that was almost looking like a small softball sized blue sun. The pendent hung there in mid air and the cat was almost dead focused on the bright shining star. Ryan had hoped he would be hypnotized for a few minutes, but that was all the time he needed. He said a small spell and blue lighting formed from his palms. They joined together and a dimensional rift opened. A sliver sword began to withdraw from the small opening. Ryan grabbed the hilt and pulled on the sword almost as if he was unsheathing it into reality. The two handed grip hilt was made from ivory. The Ivory was obtained from the skeleton of a dead pachyderm from an earth that was common with using them. The aquamarine stone that was used as a pommel had a trapped wisp. She had long since accepted her fate, and punishment. She powered and channeled magic from the welder to the blade. The blade was made from Demarcus meteor metal. The wooden eight inch hilt was made from the strongest wood known in the multiverse. It was made from Shiscetto, a wood that was known to be strongest in all worlds. The wood was only grown or able to be grown in a world where no human could step for on. He gripped the sword and slashed at the were-cat that was dazed. The blade sang through the air and cut thin air. The cat had jumped from the attack. Zephyr was upside down and his right ear was cut in half. Blood sprayed to the ground and managed to hit Ryan. The pendant exploded and sent a shock wave that hit the flying feline. It sent him fling to the concrete wall that crumbled into rubble. Ryan ran to John who was breathing in a shallow deep whizzing. Blood was pooling and he was bleeding from every orifice.
“Ryan youuu have tooooo good.” John said as he coughed up blood.
“Hold on let me use this healing spell.” Ryan said as he chanted the spell, “Lvg gsv drmwh lu vzigs uold rmgl blf zmw svzo blfi ylwb.”
John’s body was beginning to reverse the flow of blood and was now stitching all his wounds and broken bones his lungs had completely healed and now he took a deep breath.
“Dear god I hate that feeling. So I see you managed to learn a mid level healing spell. “ John said with a deep voice.
“Yeah well can you stand on your own?” He said, “The cat is still alive, I doubt that was enough to kill him.”
“Is that, Blackest Heart your welding?” John asked in question, “ When did you have the strength to summon such a weapon?”
“I’ll tell you later, but first Zypher is about to attack.” Ryan said.
The rubble that was piled up was now shifting and small pieces had fallen down. The larger fragments began to shift and the cat was now getting up. He’s right ear had gone his whole body was burnt. Ryan charged at the cat and leaped into the air. Zephyr caught Ryan with his right arm. With his left he extended his claws out and slashed his chest. Five deep gashes with blood pouring out that went from his right chest to his stomach. Ryan let out a deep scream. Zephyr looked into Ryans eyes and hissed out a smile.
“Well now I guess this is it for you.” Zephyr said he let a small laugh escape.
“Yea maybe but I still have a few cards up my sleeve.” Ryan chocked out.
He used a gust of wind to throw his opponent off balance. With the last of his strength. He took the sword he had and brought it up above his head and swung it down to kill. Zephyr’s body was split in half and fell limp on the ground. The cat’s body vanished and from behind Ryan who had dropped to his knees when he killed the cat. From behind Ryan a dark feline body was emerging from the shadows. Zephyr had appeared behind Ryan and began to grapple with his neck. He had secured a tight grip against him and with his free hand he dug his cat claws into his chest. Ryan let out a scream and more blood oozed from the holes.
Using the blade he gave the big pussy cat a manicure. The cat pulled his claws out and throw Ryan to the ground. Ryan then crawled to safety. He got about five feet and with a careful aim he launched the sword through his chest and stuck out from his back. The cat coughed up blood he dropped to his knees and managed to pull it out he threw the sword on the ground and fell forward. The cat had finally meet his end. John managed to heal his body full once his body was able to recover his mana. He walked to the warehouse-cat and kicked the dead body. The sword had dissolved into nothing and was now gone. Ryan walked over to John and fell into his arms.
“Ok I’m done, am we go home?” Ryan said, “I really want to take a shower.”
“Yes but first, Lvg gslhv dsl srwv rm gsv wzip yv ivevzovw rm ortsg.” John said as he cast an illumination spell.
The hidden person who had taken refuge during the fight was now glowing a bright green. He saw that his body was now exposed so he walked out from the lock against the wall.
“Umm hi so I guess you can’t just let me go?” Said the shapeshifters creature.
“You think I would let someone who imprisoned me go?” Asked John, “You must be joking?” With a flick of this fingers he snapped the shapeshifters neck and his body also feel to the ground.
“Well I guess that’s that.” Ryan said, “shall we?”
They walked out the wear house and walked to the car and they sat there for few minutes. Ryan couldn’t heal himself because the spell could only be used once a day. He knew that if the used it to often or relied to often he would become dependent on it. So he let his body heal the normal slow process. They sat there in the car with the A/C on and then started the car the engine roared to life and John drove them back to the hotel room. Ryan just sat in his chair and reclined it back and let his thoughts drift into nothing.
