It had been three weeks since Ryan took on the cat. He laid in bed still healing from the wounds he had taking. He was taking longer to heal than usual. He had learned to cast a few spells that had allowed him to increase his strength, speed and durability. Yet it still had left him almost completely broken. His right leg had shattered when he tried to stand. The rebound from those quick boosts had a side effect. He thought he should only use them when absolutely necessary.
The door opened and a demon girl had stepped through she had a wooden tray with John’s breakfast. The porcelain plate had eggs, burnt beacon, toast and orange juice. He sat up or tried to. Rachel ran to John and placed the food the desk. She helped him to sit up and moved her book from her seat. She grabbed the food and feed Ryan.
“Here eat, drink, and what did I tell you about trying to move?” Rachel scolded Ryan.
“Not to hurt myself any further?” Ryan said sheepishly, “Well can I have a drink?”
She lifted the glass to his lips and helped him drink. John walked in wearing his black suit with the red button down. He had a black Cain that was made from oak. He had a black leather sleek book tucked under his arm.
“Let’s go Rachel, Ryan can take care of himself.” John said, “Ryan I’m taking Rachel to the council, they have decided to pass judgment on her and her family. Relax her family will live, but there will be conditions.”
“Well that’s good, I guess I’ll see you when you guys get back?” Ryan said as he relaxed his posture, “Well I’ll just lay here and practice my magic.”
“Good I was about to suggest that.” John said, “Also try and heal faster, here try this spell, it’s one of my own making.”
Rachel bent down to kiss Ryan on his cheek. Ryan say this and caught her by the hand and kissed her on the lips. She turned red and slapped him across the face.
“You idiot, you surprised me.” Rachel said, “I’ll see you when I get back.”
She left the room with John and a bright yellow light appeared from the hallway and disappeared. Dagron came walking in with her growl and a roar he jumped in his now more sturdier cat tree. He had doubled in size and was now the size of a main coon cat. He’s scales had begun to grow out more, around his joints and face. Those areas seemed to grow out and horns and spikes were starting to develop. The dragon was also able to spew fire in the form of a gas that gets ignited by the dragons teeth.
“Dagron, he there big guy how are you doing?” Ryan said, “Want to come over here?”
The dragon looked up at him then he looked at he’s comfortable spot and back at Ryan. Ryan was shocked when he stood up turned around and showed his dragon tall to him. He sat down and went to sleep.
“What the hell, why are you so mad?” Ryan wondered, “Is it because I almost died? Look buddy I’m sorry, I know I shouldn’t throw my life away like that, but I won and didn’t die.”

Dagron huffed out white smoke and looked back at him and with a fearful look on his eyes snorted fire from his nose. He jumped over to the bed and landed with a big thud. He managed to break the legs on the bed. The oak frame cracked along the side. Dagron walked up to Ryan and slight dug in his claws. The pain was meant to send a message.
“Grwrwlr” Dagron growled before biting his forearm, “gwrwl…That is not the point, you almost died, my life force is entangled with yours.”
“Wow, what the hell this is some Dr. Dottle shot here?” Ryan cursed out, “What the hell, Dagron, what’s going on?”
“Relax Ryan, you and I are linked mentally, the witch in the book used her magic and combined it with mine to save your leg, and you life.” Dagron was now nose to nose and looking at him, “In other words that you’re mortal or now semi immortal mind will understand, you die I die, simple and don’t tell anyone about this.”
The dragon jumped to he’s perch and got completely relaxed and went to sleep. There had been a small cat room that Ryan placed a bed for him. He could see that the spot was now getting filled with a sock he had lost two weeks weeks ago. He could also see Rachel’s hair clip, and John’s tenth century knights ring. He just laid back and concentrated on his body. He could feel the flow of cells throughout his vessels. He concentrated on he’s wounds and had the rush of platelets and red blood cells began to be produced in a very fast pace. He’s wounds began to heal and seal themselves. He let out a breath and the process stopped. Half his wounds healed and still needed more time to heal. The other half still looked the same. His chest was slashed and his right lung had collapsed when he got back to the hotel room.
John had said he had to rush him to the emergency room. The hospital asked how Ryan was attacked by a wild animal. They said they had calls thought the night about a mountain lion. John said that he had seen the man save a woman from the animal. He let the doctors work on him and they took Ryan to the emergency room and the operating room. He had died twice on the operating table. He lost over three liters of blood. He’s lung had collapsed, he had broken both legs. They had completely shattered, the doctors were so surprised. He’s arms had been twisted in odd positions.
When Ryan was stable John had appeared. He chanted a spell and grey smoke erupted everywhere. The building was emptied in less than five minutes. Ryan was gone and a small pile of cash was left behind. The cameras and DVR recordings and storage equipment were fried. When the smoke cleared the patient’s were brought back in and no one seemed to remember about a certain wizard.
The seats of many council members where encircling both Rachel her sister and John. The sisters were in their demonic forms. They sat side by side in oak chairs. John stood next to Rachel’s sister.
“What are these abominations doing in these hallowed halls?” One councilman said, “They must be put to death.”
“Enough, everyone quiet.” Said the senior official, “Please John continue.”
“As I was saying, these girls are the product of inter spices breeding.” John said as he laid a hand on Rachel’s shoulder, “There father is Count of St. Germain, and Lilith.”
The room erupted in laughter and shouting. Many counsel members began to stand up and walk out. John took his staff and lifted it then struck the ground. The whole vertical room seemed to stop in their place. The thunderous sound echoed for off each ascending row. Every wizard was stunned they stood and came back to sit.
“As I was saying, They are a product of prohibited marriage.” John began, “But our laws have sense change, there parents are dead. You yourselves saw magic never lies. All they ask is a chance of life.”
“Yes we did, let us hope that dark wizard is gone. As for the daughters, we will reach you at your place Johnathon.” Said the elder wizard, he was the fourth High Wizard and the last to serve under Merlin, “As for now you two are allowed to practice magic, but you must be under close supervision, understood ladies.”
“Yes, Grand Master, we understand” they said in unison.
The room was still talking about politics and that, but the noise was fading away. The three of them walked to the red Enochian circle that was brightly illuminated. They stood on it a faint red light enveloped them and John chanted a spell they disappeared into red little lights. Three minutes later they appeared in the basement of a store. The stores basement was dark, dusty and boxes had been stacked up. They walked to the door unlocked it and opened it. They walked out and walked down the street.
“Well that was fun, so John how much longer do I have to stay in New York?” Asked Rachel’s sister Faith, “I do have a life and a fiancé, he wants to know what’s happening.”
“Well just tell him that in three days you well have be free.” John said, “There’s no sense, to worry the man.”
They walked back to John’s house and John unlocked the door with a spell and opened the door. They all walked in and the door closed back up. The lights began to turn on as they walked to there rooms. Once they had gone to bed the light began to turn off. All except one Ryan’s room, the room began to glow in white light and no noise could be heard. Then the fifth floor and fourth floor lights turned on, an audible sigh could be heard from those two floors.
