~~~~~Rox's P.O.V~~~~~
Lante is a young girl of thirteen Big Cycles old which is equivalent to seventeen Earth years. She is five feet three inches tall having curves at the right places though she is not as curvy as Au. Lante is both beautiful and cute. She has braided the front edges of her long pink hair giving her a unique style.
I invited her outside the barrier and into the crater for our sparring match. After reducing my stats to her level I asked her to do her best. Based on her stats and resistances it would be very hard to beat her using her own skills especially when her attack skills are intermediate while she has two advanced resistances.
Unless I use an attack like the one I used against Eu, it will be a battle of attrition. I can tell she also knows that her defense is higher than her offence.
She immediately tried to bind me the moment I told her we should start fighting. I tried to evade but I was too slow. But, I easily took control of the vines she used to bind me using [Vine Control].
After that, she took a pouch out of her pocket and pulled a seed out of it. The Seed in her hand started growing rapidly and she attacked me with its vines. Ten vines with sharp tips in total attacked me.
I conjured a [Vine Barrier] to block the approaching vines but they easily pierced through my [Vine Barrier]. I expected that so I immediately conjured ten [Bark Shield]s to block.
The vines were temporarily stopped but she just pulled the vines back and attacked again from different directions. As I kept blocking I realized she was hardening the edge of her vines to make them more lethal.
I also put more magic into my shields to make them harder but since my shields were made up of only magic, I was being pushed back.
I thought of hijacking her vines but I wouldn't be able to do so unless I touch them but that would be suicide. Ansah told me they were poisonous and that it seems they have been made in such a way that only Lante can use them but, that was okay.
I have a lot of foodstuffs in my first spacial ring. Among them are a lot of seeds. I took a bag containing seeds from a plant called marva. The marva plant is an aggressive plant that grows so rapidly that farmers have to actively control their growth.
I figured it was the best plant for my next move but it went above and beyond. The moment I used [Fast Growth] on them, they stole half of my mana, merged together and started growing taller and taller until they surpassed the trees in the forest in height.
Since the marva plant is a vine plant, they couldn't hold their weight. The merged plant started tipping down in Lante's direction soon forcing her to surrender.
After her surrender, I cancelled the growth skill on the marva plant but it only reduced its height to about fifty metres. I redirected it into the crater I created. The tall marva plant couldn't fill the length of the crater I created by even ten per cent.
Because of the fact that she has two advanced resistances at her level and her titles, I asked her to tell me about her past. Her past was even sadder than mine. Because of my past, I judged her to be one of those girls without knowing what makes her tick.
I asked her to ask one thing from me as she was the second person to push me that much. It was also a way for me to say sorry to her for judging her based on things I experienced in my past without getting to know her first although I didn't tell her that.
She told me that she would very much like it if I could grant her immortality so that she can forever live for herself and her friend.
This forced me to consult Ansah.
{Ansah, is there a way for me to fulfil her wish for her?}. I asked Ansah in my mind after using [Thought Acceleration].
*Since you can only pass down abilities you have already gained to your subordinates and you don't have an ability that makes you immortal yet, you can not grant her immortality now. However, since she is under your [Ruler's Reach] skill, you can make it such that even if she dies before you get the ability, her soul will come to you instead of disappearing. Then, when you get an ability that will aid you in resurrecting her, you can easily bring her back.*
{Is that so?}.
*Yes, Master. Since she agreed to become your subordinate, you now have the power to decide whether she lives or dies whenever you want.*
You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.
"Then, can't I just resurrect her if I want then?"
*You are currently not powerful enough to resurrect someone without the aid of a skill.*
"Okay, it seems I'll have to experiment more with my Supreme skills. Can I pass regeneration to her as compensation?"
*She is currently not that compatible with the skill but if she survives an attack that can bring her (HP) down to less than twenty per cent, I can pass the basic form of the skill to her for you.*
"But my [Regeneration Skill] is no longer basic."
*Indeed. Since you personally learnt this skill on your own, I have the blueprints to make the basic form. If you master the skills that you just got from your new subordinates, I'll be able to create basic forms of them for you as well.*
"That is great, Ansah. Thank you."
After thanking Ansah, I went back to talking with Lante. I told her I couldn't grant her immortality yet but I can make sure her soul comes to me if she dies and I'll resurrect her later. I also told her about giving her the [Regeneration] skill and what she must do before I can give her that skill.
I thought of taking her inside, stabbing her in the stomach and healing her like I did to myself but I think it may lead to some complications so I just asked her to keep injuring and healing herself. Luckily she has a healing skill and I also gave her three mid (HP) potions so it wouldn't take long until she becomes more compatible with the skill.
Being able to regenerate and use healing magic should be able to keep her alive for the time being.
*******
After the sparring matches with my Xerxi subordinates, I asked them to prepare for their departure.
I now have to create a concrete plan for the infiltration, consider the things I'll divulge to them and make up an excuse as to why that long crater appeared here.
I'll let them infiltrate as I first said. The story I'll let them spread is that while chasing Etit's side, they mistakenly stepped into the God Rox's sacred grounds. To teach both sides a lesson and set an example, Rox punched Au, the strongest person around instantly turning her into a blood mist.
The crater that appeared was just the side effect of his punch. I'll burn the marva plant later so there's no need for me to add it in the false story I am concocting. The marva plant is an aggressive plant. If I leave it here, it will take over the forest soon.
After destroying Au, the God Rox charged the two sides to go back to their people and inform them that if anyone dares to trespass on his holy grounds, he'll annihilate their whole country.
Quite a good plan, I must say. I can imagine them quaking in their boots when they hear the news. This will surely buy me some time to grow.
"Mazter, we are done" As I was thinking, Zairitz called informing me that they were done preparing for their journey.
I gave each side a storage ring to put their share of the food inside. A storage ring is an inferior version of the spacial ring. It lacks in space and the time in a storage ring moves as fast as the time outside.
"... So, Au, you will stay with me here and teach me your ways," I said after telling them about the story I just made up.
Then I turned to Zairitz "Zairitz, when you get to the Sairitz Domain, find out if your family is okay. If they are, bring them here. If they swear their loyalty to me, I'll make your family the rulers of your country. If they have been murdered, immediately return here. If they have been captured come back here if it is too dangerous. If it is not too dangerous, stay and gather more information. You can pray to me using your [Divine Conduit] skill and inform me of whatever information you have. For normal prayers, you don't need to use that skill as it will be tasking on your body."
"You can all pray to me as many times as you want every small cycle but if you have something very important to inform me of, let it go through Zairitz." I told everyone so because I really need more divine power especially now that I want to act as a God. At the same time, I don't want it to seem as if I am craving it. "Do your best to avoid people who can appraise you. The probability of someone finding out about your increased stats may be low but it is not impossible."
"Special core members, you are to infiltrate the First Noble's side. Make sure you don't divulge more than necessary to the First Noble and those on his side. If they try to interrogate you, I have made it such that you would collapse as long as your sudden collapse will not harm you so you should tell them that the God Rox has made it such that you will first collapse and if they keep on trying to find more information about God Rox, both you and the party trying to pry will die. Of course, there is no way I'll kill my subordinates just because of something as trivial as someone trying to find out about me. And you can not betray me in the first place so you should worry not.". I informed the special corps members.
Yes, I have made it such that no enemy can get more than the amount of information I have allowed them to share. If ever they are in the position where they are being forced to divulge more than necessary, I have made it such that my [Ruler's Reach] skill would consider it as thoughts of betrayal and the penalty is collapsing for six hours.
During the time of their collapse, attacks that are below my durability wouldn't affect them. The damage will be transferred to me. If an attack that is higher than my durability targets them, they'll be instantly teleported to my side.
If for one reason or the other, the teleportation fails they would instantly wake up. An amount of my mana would be used to double their strength so that they can protect themselves.
I am now getting better at using the punishment clause in the [Ruler's Reach] supreme skill. Since I am the ruler, I am the one who makes the rules.
Now that I am done telling them what to do, I have to end my speech grandly but I didn't get to that part when I was thinking so I don't know how to end it.
Well, here goes; “Now, Etit, Abre, Lante, Epei, Eu, Ache and Urch, go and make the future empire that we will build which will span countless star systems proud!”
