CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE: Au and the Alushka fruit.

~~~~~Rox's P.O.V~~~~~
"... And that is an Alushka tree My Lord. Its fruit is very rare and the Nobles really like it because of its sweetness and health benefits". We are currently on our way to the warren of the strongest rabbit around and Au has been introducing me to the ecology around.
"Really? Plug some for me and let me try it."
"Yes, My lord". I sent Au off and while sitting on Juba, I asked Ansah to analyze and tell me about the Alushka tree.
*Master, The Alushka tree takes about thirteen Big Cycles which is equivalent to Seventeen Earth years to mature enough to bear fruit and each fruit takes about one Big Cycle and two small cycles which is equivalent to five hundred and forty Earth days (1.48 Earth years) to mature. This is probably why according to Au, the fruit is rare as it simply takes too long to produce more fruit. The fruit is both sweet and highly nutritious and it can be used in making medicines and potions having the ability to boost an entity's power temporarily.*
I thanked Ansah for the information and in no time, Au came back with three Alushka fruits. Two were riped and one was only half riped. She smiled at me and said; "My Lord, I was lucky enough to find three matured fruits on the tree." and handed them to me.
The fruit looks like an orange-sized watermelon. After receiving them, I tried to hand one back to her.
"Please don't waste such a valuable fruit on me, My Lord.". That was unexpected. It seems she has an inferiority complex. If not, then that is how their society does things but that wouldn't do. My servants are more valuable than normal fruits.
"So you mean to tell me that this fruit is more valuable than the banquet I set up for you?"
Au bowed her head and while acting like a kid who has been caught stealing answered; "N-no, my Lord. I just..."
"Or since you don't know the value of what you had during the banquet, you assumed that a Supreme Divine Seed such as myself can not afford to let my servants have the best?"
"No, My Lord. I just thought that since this fruit is valuable to us the Delleans, we could sell it when we go to Delle. That way you will be able to get some of the currency of my nation." That was thoughtful. But, since I want to go there as a god, going there as a merchant will be bad for my reputation unless I am incognito.
"I must say, that was thoughtful of you but, I don't need to go to your country as a merchant. In fact, doing so will destroy my reputation as I am going there as a god."
"Yes, My Lord."
"Now, let me tell you a little about me. On my planet, I was the equivalent of your First Noble's son except that my family ruled more than a tenth of the whole planet. My parents loved me so much and spoiled me so much that I barely did anything with my own hands. When I was chosen as a possible successor to the Supreme God, the whole planet sent me gifts and out of the countless gifts, only the most valuable were accepted and I picked from the most valuable ones the things I wanted to bring. The only things that I brought that are not valuable are things that I personally chose for when I am acting as a poor person or when I want my enemies to think less of me. The dummy armour I am wearing right now is one of the armours I brought for such cases."
If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
"My Lord, if you consider this exquisite armour as a dummy, then how valuable was the food you gave us? I considered them as food fit for the gods because of how tasty they were but are they even more valuable than that?"
I reached down from on top of Juba and stroked Au's hair while saying; "There is no need for you to think about that. I'll always value my subordinates above food so hold your head high. As my servant, you are more valuable than Delle itself.".
Au's cheeks turned redder and her eyes turned moist. Her mind was filled with rainbows and she fell to her knees. She wanted to say something but she couldn't find any words in her 'Lexicon' that could express what she felt and wanted to say.
For a while, she kept kneeling, so I said; "Stand up, and let's continue. We still have rabbits to kill. Also, tell me; How do you eat this fruit?" to get her back on her feet.
Au stood up and while she was still blushing replied; "My-My Lord, you can simply bite through it. Should I go and wash it for you first?"
I've already checked with appraisal and it is safe to eat. I could have asked Ansah how I should eat it, but asking her was the better choice since it was able to bring her out of her daydreaming although she lacks the ability to dream in the normal sense.
If she was Eu, I would have allowed her to wash it using her water magic but, Au is a Flame Mage. Not to mention, I have poison resistance so I told her; "There is no need. They are safe to eat." and bit through one of the Alushka fruits I was holding.
It was quite sweet. It may be sweeter than all the fruits I tasted on Earth but I've had even sweeter fruits on Soyzy. The fruit also gave me a one per cent boost to all my stats that lasts for as long as I am not done digesting it which is unique. I've had different kinds of fruits that gave me different stat boosts before but this is the first one that boosts all stats.
I stretched my hand down from on top of Juba and caressed Au's hair again. After that, I told her she could eat hers.
"Yes, My Lord. Thank you very much for this honour." Au bit through her fruit and immediately showed an astonished face. She most definitely wasn't expecting the stat boost. One per cent may seem small but a percentage of a billion is quite big a number
"Tell me about yourself." I asked Au to tell me about herself while we were on our way and she told me a lot.
But, if I am to summarise everything, then I would say from birth she has been trained to serve and protect the First Noble's family which explains why she acted that way. She has never gotten into a relationship before too which explains why a few sweet words did her in that much. It may also be because she never expected anyone will value her more than just being a tool for the First Noble's family and I went ahead and told her she is more valuable than the country itself which makes her more valuable than the First Noble she has had to serve all her life.
After listening to her, I think I should commend her on being able to make a decision that goes against who she has been her whole life. As the [First Noble Family's Dog], even if I consider the fact that she was faced with what she should have perceived as a power beyond measure, the fact that she was able to decide on her own to serve me is commendable.
Hours after we set off from my little base, we finally reached the warren of the strongest rabbit around. I saw the strongest rabbit around and after appraising it, I realized it was far too fast compared to even Juba and it was a level thirty-two. How am I going to beat this guy?
