CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE: Ice Ball of Destruction.

~~~~~Rox's Perspective ~~~~~
As I was talking to Ansah in my head, I beckoned Au over.
It was a short battle but what can I say; A fight between very fast beings is bound to be short. I wonder how it feels for very powerful beings in comics and stuff to battle for centuries.
I mean, if you are just as fast as sound on Earth and you continue fighting for just an hour, you would feel like you have fought for more than seven hours.
"Lord." Au came closer and announced her presence.
"Yes. Now, this is the reason why I brought you here. Apart from coming to gain experience, I also want to have all of the Gale rabbits here to myself.
I want you to take care of them for me that's why I killed the most powerful ones so that your job would be easier for you.
I was also thinking about creating a wall around their warren but that would mean you would have to personally feed them every day so what do you think?"
"Y-yes, My Lord. But, your wish is my command so it doesn't matter if you isolate them or not. I'll do my best to take care of them."
"I know you would but tell me your thoughts on it.". I indeed know she would because she is under my rule and she can not betray me. But, I wasn't expecting her to say that.
"As you said, My Lord, if you completely isolate them, it would be very hard for me to take care of them but if you don't, then the predators around would also try to hunt some of them.". She is right and even if I build a wall around them, birds can swoop down and steal some of my deli-ehrm... Some can come down and steal some of the rabbits I am trying to rear.
"Don't worry, I am planning on killing all the powerful animals around including that bird up there." I pointed at a bird that looked like an eagle with four legs which was staring down at us. It should be quite powerful since it is a level thirty-five.
Its race was Ko Four Legged Eagle. To be frank I thought it would be called a gryphon since it looks like a gryphon but what can I say? I guess the fact that it is called a four-legged eagle means there may be two-legged eagles too. After all, the first bird I saw had four wings and two legs rather and I've been seeing birds with either two or four legs or wings in my stay here on this planet.
I initially decided I would not attack the birds because I didn't know how to fly but... I think I am more than qualified to hunt them now.
Its stats were not shabby at all, but I was disappointed when I saw its speed. Its speed was just 434 which meant that I was faster than it.
As I was ridiculing it in my head, I suddenly realized that it is an animal which flies and its flight speed may be different from its normal speed so I asked Ansah to check its flight speed and I was astonished. Its flight speed was 5065. More than ten times my current speed stat. Its base flight speed is almost the base speed of Juba.
If I let it take flight, I can not hope to catch up with it unless I use teleportation.
Its stats are;
To be frank, it beats me in stats. Unfortunately, I told Au that I would defeat the eagle before I appraised it. If I let it take off, I most definitely not win and I will lose face.
If I confront it in a fair manner, I would lose.
But... I am not going to confront it head-on.
I pulled a seed from my spacial ring and cast [Fast Growth] on it. This vine plant has very thick vines.
I teleported to the back of the eagle and before it noticed me, I used [Vine Control] and [Binding Vines] to restrain it.
I put enough mana into the skills to ensure that they would be able to restrain it at least for a while.
Before it could fully realize what was going on, I pulled my sword out of its scabbard and rushed at its neck. I combined [Blade Arts; Sharp Blade] with [Chopper] and buffed myself with [Brute Strength] and [Physical Reinforcement] before swinging my blade down at its neck.
I knew its durability was high but I wasn't expecting it to be able to hold up against, my sword attack after all the buffs.
After I slashed down at its neck, the sword cut through its skin but it couldn't cut through its bones. I thought of cutting from the front but I knew it was a fool's errand. There is no way it would not notice me if I came from the front but if its organs were similar to the ones on Earth, I would have been able to cut through its vital organs before reaching its bones.
The eagle tried to get me with its [Deadly Beak] forcing me to teleport away, leaving my sword stuck in its neck.
I appeared about a hundred and twenty meters above it. While free-falling, I initially thought of using one of my bows to take care of it but I chose not to.
I remembered that I still had my unnamed technique and decided to use it instead. I don't want to share my experience with my weapons unless I reach their level otherwise, they would steal the bulk of my experience.
The acceleration due to gravity was 12.1 meters per second but for a person as fast as myself, I felt like I was falling at a snail's pace. I had enough time to consider my next move before a second was reached.
I conjured a water ball four times bigger than the one I used when sparring with Eu and froze it.
It felt natural doing so. It seems after the system recognized it as an advanced technique not only has it become easier for me to use it but I can now push a lot more speed into it.
Looking down, I saw the eagle struggling to break free from the vines I used to bind its wings to its body and its legs to its perch.
"Adios". I said and shot the ice ball at the eagle at a velocity of more than a thousand two hundred meters per second. I could have made it even faster, but I was running out of mana and chose to leave ten per cent of my mana in store for a probable emergency.
My target was big and my bullet was also big so aiming was easy. In a millisecond, my attack reached its target.
It first broke the branches above the eagle and pushed the eagle down breaking the branch it perched on. As the ice and eagle went down together, they destroyed the side of the tree they were and upon hitting the ground, the ice that I put enough mana into to make it ten times harder than normal ice shattered into pieces.
A small crater was created at the spot where they fell and the eagle was almost dead. My sword was destroyed and the eagle kept on losing (HP) due to bleeding and internal injuries.
I landed gracefully at its side and watched it slowly lose its grasp on life. Unfortunately, I didn't get much experience from its skills since I had all of them. Some were in my main skills and others were in my isolated skills.
I found out later after talking to answer that I can use duplicate skills to augment my skills and this time, instead of directly trying to create a skill of a higher level, it would increase the level of your already existing skill.
If they are of the same rarity, the skills level would increase by three. If it's the previous rarity, ten duplicates are needed to increase a level. If it gets any lower, no benefit would be gained.
To put it in another way, using duplicate skills for augmentation is like learning the skill again or training the skill.
I also learnt that trying to do the same with a lower tier skill wouldn't work but that part doesn't really interest me since I am too low levelled to think of tier two skills. I have to become a Higher Mortal before I can get them anyway.
I stood in the fog created by the shattered ice ball and drank a mid (MP) potion. After observing the destruction caused by my unnamed technique, I remembered Aicis' title; Ice Queen of Destruction.
Because of that, I decided I'll name the technique Ice Ball of Destruction.
I checked how tasty the eagle was and it was also not as tasty as the rabbits. If I would give the rabbits a five-star review, then the eagle would only score a four point two.
My detection skills detected Au and Juba approaching so I put the less tasty eagle inside my spacial ring and I got out of the fog to meet them. It was quite big and it took up almost all of the space I had in my food spacial ring.
After I got out, I saw Au, the lower-ranking subordinate riding on my mount, Juba, the higher-ranking subordinate.
Did something happen in the brief time that I left them behind?
