I rest my eyes as I feel someone warming me with their arms. I hear voices of where I am and what world I am now born in. I can understand the voices. But I don’t know how to speak, because I am just born. I can understand some of the words that I am hearing. But I cannot respond. I open my eyes and yawn. My eyesight is a little fuzzy. The fuzzy sight clears away. There is a male rabbit person over me. He is tall from my point of view. He looks like a tall rabbit with a dark purple robe, a light red belt that is over his left shoulder, and a crown on his head. His color fur is dark grey. His jaw, chest, and belly are light grey. His wooden crown has dark green twisted vines. It has red berries and light green leaves. In the middle of the plant, the crown is a flower, with green petals, and a yellow circle in the middle.
I am in a round shape egg Hut. It has a warm fireplace with a circular stone arch over it. A bed made out of green grass with a yellow flower for a pillow.
The dark grey rabbit looks so happy. He begins to cry. He picks me up and raises me in the air. I quietly laugh.
“You are so cute and adorable, my son,” says the dark grey rabbit.
I smile when I heard the word, son. This dark grey rabbit must be my father.
The dark grey Rabaca sits and I rest in his arms. “Do you know where we are, son?” he asks me.
He begins to explain.
“This Realm is your home and birthplace. No human has ever entered this Realm. Only Rabaca’s like ourselves can live in this Realm and can enter the human realm above us. This Realm is called the Rabbit Realm. Your home realm has many colorful beautiful flowers. Each has different smells. But be warned, some of the flowers can change our moods for a very short time.
This home Realm is a place where nature is a friend to all creatures. This is the birthplace of spring. This Realm is not as large as the human Realm from above.
In this Realm, there are many tribes. We are Rabaca’s. Rabaca’s are fearsome tall Anthro rabbit warriors. We protect each other. There has never been a threat in this Realm, ever. You are safe here in your home Realm, with your mother and me.” my father just explained where I live.
My father opens the wooden door. He shows me a wide village.
“This is Trodant village, your birth home,” says my father.
I chuckle and so does my father. “The village has a few huts. Some of them are shaped like eggs and others are shaped like triangles. There are a few small light blue rabbit villagers. They all look alike, but each of them has a different personality. Some are farmers, some are warriors with spears, and some are females.” My father points at something else near the village.
“Next to our home village is that huge castle. That is Ferant Castle,” he says.
The big castle has two tall towers and an egg shape between them. My father is still holding me in his warm furry arms.
“You want to see what you look like?” asks my father.
Of course, I can’t answer. I am just a baby Rabaca.
My father carries me by my underarms and shows my reflection in an egg-shaped mirror. I see myself and I look like a cute small blue/gray rabbit. My father lifts me in the air and chuckles. I yawn and move around to get comfortable. My father puts me back in his warm arms.
The front door opens. A silver-gray female Rabaca walks into the hut. She is wearing a white robe and a plant crown on her head just like my father. Her crown is the same. The silver female Rabaca walks up to me. I open my eyes and see the female Rabaca. I know in my heart that she is my mother.
The female Rabaca smiles down at me. “Isn’t he so beautiful, Edd?” she asks my father, whose name is Edd.
Edd, my Rabaca father, turns to the female Rabaca. “Silver, why are you calling him beautiful, I thought he was a boy?” asks Edd.
Silver, my Rabaca mother, tickles my cute white furry tummy. I chuckle. That felt good when my mother tickled my tummy.
“All sons and daughters of the Rabbit Realm are beautiful,” answers Silver.
Edd gently picks me up and smiles at me.
“Soon my son you will carry the burdens of the fathers before you,” he says.
Silver rubs my left furry cheek.
“Yes, he will. Just like his father and his father before him,” she says.
A soft knock is heard on the front door. Edd passes me to Silver. He walks to the front door and opens it. A tall yellow Rabaca is standing in front of Edd. He is bigger than Edd, almost warrior size. The yellow Rabaca is kind of muscular but not too buff. The yellow Rabaca has dark green vines wrapped around his stomach, his arms, and his legs too. I think the vines are some kind of clothes. I don’t know. The yellow Rabaca clears his throat.
“The kings and queens of the Rabbit Realm tribes want to see you right away,” he says to Edd.
Edd’s eyes widen. He looks like he is afraid of the words he just heard.
“Is there a problem or is there something wrong?” asks Edd.
“I don’t know.” The yellow Rabaca lifts his shoulders. “I’m just a messenger and they won’t tell me anything. They only told me to summon you,” answers the yellow Rabaca.
“Well, tell the kings and queens that they have to wait. I’m with the firstborn child,” says Edd.
“Your child is the reason why they send for me. Come, they’re waiting.” the yellow Rabaca walks away.
Edd looks so very worried and nervous. He turns to Silver and smiles. He is trying not to make her worry. He walks up to Silver and kisses her forehead.
“I must go now. This sounds very important,” says Edd.
Edd looks down at me and kisses my forehead. “Stay here, I won’t be long,” he says.
I do not know what is going on. But I do not want my father to go. Edd, my father, walks to the door and out of the hut.
“Follow me,” says the yellow Rabaca.
The yellow Rabaca and Edd run into the village and head for Ferant Castle. Silver is following Edd with me in her arms. I try to be quiet. Silver and I sneak behind a few huts so we won’t be spotted.
The yellow Rabaca and Edd make it to the entrance of Ferant Castle. The entrance has a huge arch with Rabaca drawings on it. The yellow Rabaca and Edd walk under the arch and into the castle. Silver and I follow them into the castle. We hide behind a pillar. I try to keep quiet.
Edd is in a huge chapel that is in the castle. The ceiling is round and huge. It is very high. In the large chapel are seven Rabaca kings and queens. Each king and queen have a different color of fur and necklaces with different signs from their tribes.
Edd bows.
The red Rabaca’s are small and rule Ferant Village. Their sign looks like an egg with three flowers.
The orange Rabaca’s are from the Deegra Tribe. They are tall. The males are muscular and the females are not. Their signs are shaped like an egg with a dandelion flower shape on it.
The blue Rabaca’s are from the Ceaity Tribe and they too have egg shape signs with a sunflower sign.
The turquoise Rabaca’s are from the Eobni Tribe and their egg sign has a flower with a green plant on it.
The light blue Rabaca’s are from the Chuua Tribe and their egg sign looks like a beehive.
The yellow Rabacas are from the Ochinm tribe. They too are muscular, except for the females. Their egg sign has stars on it.
And the dark gray Rabaca’s are from the Famernt tribe. They are chubby, except for the females. Their egg sign has four flowers on it.

Edd stands in the middle of the chapel. “You wanted to see me, my kings and queens?” he asks.
The light blue Rabaca king rubs his pink nose. “You know why you’ve been summoned,” he says.
Edd stares at the seven kings and queens. He's frozen with fear and his eyes are wide.
“It is coming isn’t it, the darkness that we all have feared?” he asks the kings and queens.
The kings and queens stand still. They do not answer. Silver holds me in her arms. She walks into the chapel. Silver reveals me to the kings and queens. They all gasp quietly. The queens make an awe sound and the king smile.
“Perhaps you all heard the news about our son being born?” asks Silver.
The Rabaca kings and queens nod. Edd pats my head.
“Behold, this is my son,” says my father.
“What’s his name?” asks the light blue Rabaca king of the Chuua Tribe.
Edd mutters and sighs. “We haven’t gotten a name for him yet,” he says.
Silver smiles and looks down at me. “We’ll figure out a name real soon,” she says.
The light blue Rabaca queen of the Chuua tribe claps her paws. “This is a time for celebration! Let’s all help pick a name for this cute little Rabaca,” she says.
The other kings and queens shake their heads. The queen of the Chuaa tribe clears her throat.
“But now is not the time. There is something that you must know, Edd” she says.
Edd turns and nods. He waits for what the kings and queens are going to say. The dark gray chubby Rabaca king of the Famernt tribe begins to speak with his bold voice.
“We should probably say this in private. Silver and her baby Rabaca are going to have to wait outside of the castle,” he says.
Edd turns to Silver and tilts his head to the exit. Silver leaves the chapel with me in her arms. We both wait by the exit. Silver is listening to the conversations that my Edd is having with the kings and queens. Edd waits for what the kings and queens have to say. The small red Rabaca king of the Ferant tribe begins to explain.
“You were right. We could not contain the darkness. And now it is loose and free,” says the small red Rabaca.
Edd gasps in horror. “When did it break free?” he asks.
“Just now and it is spreading fast. We sent our finest warriors after it, but none ever came back,” says the queen of the Ferant tribe.
“Whose warriors?” asks Edd.
The blue Rabaca king of the Ceaity tribe begins to speak. “All of our finest Rabaca warriors. We thought we could fight the darkness or avoid it. But you were right and we were wrong. It is too powerful to be contained,” he answers.
Edd sighs. “I knew it. The darkness has come. We are all in grave danger. What is it after?” asks Edd.
The king of the Ochinm tribe begins to speak. “We believe it is after your newborn son,” he answers.
“I had a strong feeling that it would be after my son. What do we do?” asks Edd.
Silver is hearing everything out of the castle and so am I. Silver walks into Ferant castle while I am still in her arms. The kings and queens spot Silver entering the chapel with me.
“You dare eavesdrop? We told you this was private!” shouts the king of the Ochinm tribe.
“If this has anything about my son, then yes, I do eves drop. I have the right to be here as much as Edd!” shouts Silver.
The kings and queens nod. Silver stands in the middle of the chapels.
“I have an idea. It might help us and my son too. Do I have permission to say my idea?” asks Silver to the kings and queens.
The kings and queens chat with each other quietly. They look at my mother and nod.
“Go ahead,” says the king of the Deegra Tribe.
“I think that we should use the yellow sun crystal. It has the same power as the huge yellow sun crystal that is hovering over our Realm like a sun. Its light will protect our homes and our children from this darkness. We can use it to scare away this darkness,” says Silver.
Edd looks a bit nervous. “But the sun crystal very is powerful and very dangerous. No one can hold that power. As you said, it is like the sun. Holding the power of the sun is dangerous. What if that doesn’t work?” asks Edd.
Silver sighs. “Then we use the purple crystal of shadow to trap this darkness. It is the same shadow crystal that makes nighttime come into our Realm,” she says.
All the kings and queens are murmuring and panicking quietly.
“That’s insane!” shouts the king of the Chuua tribe. “The purple crystal of shadow should never be used! It is just as dangerous as the sun crystal!” he shouts again.
“Unless you’ve got another plan?” shouts Silver.
“We’re sorry, but we will fight this threat to protect our Realm. It is forbidden and very dangerous to use the shadow crystal and the sun crystal for any purpose. They are the only magic powers that give us day and night. So no, we will not use them and that’s final,” says the queen of the Ferant tribe.
A dark shadow covers the chapel. Thunder echoes outside. Lightning flashes out of the chapel. The Rabaca kings and queens run out of Ferant castle. They look up at the very high ceiling. The ceiling is just as high as the sky. A dark grey cloud covers the high ceiling. Its thunder and terrible lightning begin to scare me. It feels like a dark threat is coming into this Realm. I cover my head and begin to cry. Silver rocks me to calm my crying. Edd grabs her arm and pulls her along with me. The rough wind blows everywhere. Almost like a terrible storm is coming. The blue rabbits in Trodant Village run in all sorts of directions as they are panicking.
“We’ve got to get home!” shouts Edd.
Silver carries me as she runs. Edd runs into Trodant Village along with me and Silver.
The kings and queens run away from the castle. Edd looks up at the sky. He looks horrified by the dark clouds that are spreading all over the Realm. He looks ahead and sees a hut.
We make it into the hut. Edd looks up and so does Silver. My eyes widen and I begin to whimper. There are some dark scary creatures in the stormy clouds. The scary creatures are flying in the storm as they twist and turn like thousands of skinny tornados. Silver enters the hut with me in her arms. Edd bolts the door with strong wood and nails.
“What do we do now?” asks Edd.
“We hope that my plan works. I don’t care what the kings and queens say. I am going to try to use the sun and shadow crystals to scare away this darkness,” answers Silver.
Edd turns back to Silver. “I know that we are above the law because we’re very special to the Human Realm and the legends that they have and their fables as well.” Edd walks up to Silver with me in her arms. “But how are we going to keep our only son safe?” asks Edd.
“We’ll keep him in here, with us. I am not leaving him. We will protect him,” answers Silver.
Edd’s rabbit ears rise. He looks like he has another plan, but there is fear in his eyes.
“Or…” he says.
“Or what?” asks Silver.
“I have another plan, one that I have been keeping a secret from you. You’re not going to like it,” answers Edd.
“What?” Silver is trembling.
“My secret plan is that we could take him to the Human Realm. It seems to be the only place where this darkness is not threatening,” answers Edd.
Silver’s lips tremble and she begins to cry quietly while holding me. I begin to cry.
“No. Not in the Human Realm,” Silver cries softly.
Edd looks down at me and rubs my head. “If we don’t, then our son will never inherit the generations of our family’s tradition. We both know what will happen if our son does not continue our tradition. I know that this is the last thing that I want to ask of you. And that is to take our son into the Human Realm and to be safe from the darkness. But, I’m afraid I just asked.” Edd wipes a tear from Silver.
Silver keeps on crying as she is holding me.
“But how can we be so sure that he will be safe in the Human Realm?” she cries.
“He will be safe. Someone will look after him until he is ready to come back home. He will have a magic spell that will make him blend in with the humans. This is more than a protection for our only son. This is also a trail that he must do to become what he needs to be. Please, Silver, we have to do this. It’s not safe here. Not now. Until we trap or defeat this darkness, then our son can come back home to us,” says Edd.
Silver is still crying.
A loud bang is on the front door. Something is bagging on it and trying to get in. It is snarling and growling like a wild animal. Edd walks to the grassy bed and lifts it. Under the bed is a hole that leads into a dark tunnel.
“Go now!” shouts Edd.
Silver kisses Edd’s lips. “Be careful,” she says.
Edd nods. The front door is about to break open. Edd pulls out a Golden Egg and a Silver Egg from his robe pockets. He gives the Silver Egg to Silver.
“To light the way,” says Edd.
Silver jumps down the hole and looks up at Edd. Edd moves the bed back over the hole. It is now dark in the tunnel. Silver shakes her Silver Egg with her paw. The Silver Egg glows brightly to light the way. Noises are coming from above. There is banging, growling, shouting, and grunting.
A bright golden light flashes through the cracks of the bed over us. The light scares away whatever was in the hut. Whatever it is, it’s gone now.
Silver runs ahead into the tunnel while holding onto me for dear life. We arrive at a river at the end of the tunnel. Silver grabs some tree branches above her. She gently sets me down and I begin to whimper. Silver crafts the tree branches and makes a small raft. She gently places me onto the tree raft. I am still whimpering.
I don’t want to leave my home Realm. I cannot stop crying because I am a scared baby Rabaca. Silver gently rocks the tree raft to calm my crying. Somehow I know that they are doing this because they love me and want to protect me from whatever wants to harm me. I stop crying and look into my mother’s eyes.
Edd moves the bed and jumps down into the same tunnel. He sees the silver light ahead and runs to it. He makes it to Silver and me near the river. Edd walks up to Silver.
“You waited for me,” he says.
Silver smile’s at Edd. “Yes, yes I did,” she says.
Edd looks into my eyes and I look into his.
“He has my eyes,” says Edd.
“And he has my smile,” says Silver.
I feel very tired. I rest my eyes. I can still hear my Rabaca parents. Edd places the Golden Egg next to me in the tree raft. Silver holds onto her Silver Egg. It is still glowing in the tunnel. Edd gently rubs my head. Tears are flowing.
“You will find your home Realm again. Just believe in the legends, the tales, the fable stories that the humans talk about. You will become what you are born to be. You will have my powers and our love. As you get older, this realm will only be a legend. Believe in that legend and you will come home. The trials and the changes that you will have in the Human Realm will make you stronger. All of their stories and legends are true. Just listen to them and they will help you find your way back home.” Edd kisses my forehead.
“Goodbye, Jake,” says Silver.
Edd chuckles. “That is the name I was thinking of. Jake,” he says.
“You were thinking of it too?” asks Silver.
Edd nods. He grabs a piece of wood and carves my name on it.
“What’s that for?” asks Silver.
“So that whoever finds our son will know his true name,” answers Edd
He places the piece of wood with my name on it in the raft. I barely open my eyes. Edd and Silver gently push the raft into the river. The tree raft floats away into the tunnel. Silver hugs Edd and begins sobbing very quietly.
“Will he be safe through his travels?” she asks.
“I’ve been down this river many times when I was very young. It leads to an island in the Human Realm. This driver is not the only way into this Realm. Don’t worry. He will find his way home. Let’s just hope that home will still be here after we’ve dealt with this darkness,” says Edd.
He raises his right paw in the air. “Farewell…my son, until we meet again,” he says.
My Rabaca parents stare at the tree raft that I am floating on. Edd waves at me. I begin to cry a little bit. I cover my eyes and wipe the tears off of my cheeks. I fall asleep.
