Babe POV
Hearing the commotion outside, the sharp claws of curiosity grip at my mind. I must see what the hubbub is about. Moving toward the portal between the safety granted by the darkness and shade and the danger of the sun, I would pause to gather my breath, and courage. Making a quick peek out would bring me pause. Horror of horrors, it is one of those furred monsters, on the surface. It would writhe, jump, twist and otherwise flail about around and over itself for a few moments before finally settling to move toward the small spring that is the start of this little oasis. Just as the fear and terror of such a beast starts to set in, something catches my eyes.
It's mandibles are the wrong color. They should be the color of sand, but here they are, blue as Curator, and the bands I now bear. It's then that an epiphany strikes me, Curator has also bestowed a mind on that ravening beast for some reason. It is not my place to question their wisdom, yet I feel compelled to get an answer.
"Curator, why does that beast have mandibles in your color?"
With that simple question asked aloud, and a hasty retreat to the safety of being fully in this home Curator has made for us. It doesn't take long for me to get an answer, but it's not in words. Instead, a flow of pure elation fills me, overwhelming every other thought. This feeling is just, so pure, so GOOD, one could easily see themselves desiring nothing but it. Then it's suddenly cut as Curator speaks.
'That was how Poppit felt from being given a mind like you have. Do you still think they are just a beast?'
"No. No they are not. A beast thinks only of things like hunger, or thirst. The need to mate and pass on their genes. Nothing like, that. Thank you for sharing this wisdom with me, it is one thing to tell, and another entirely to let one make an assumption or presumption then show how it is wrong to allow for true understanding."

Curator POV
OH MY GOD, Poppit is even doing that happy weasel dance, my goodness this was a GREAT idea! Sensing the movement of Babe, I'd kind of, zoom out would be the best way to put it, my vision so both my animal friends could be seen. It's very odd being able to see through, but not see through, things like that basket I made. Watching her stop to just breathe a moment before, surprisingly quickly, half scrambling out to look at Poppit being...well Poppit, they'd freeze much like a deer in headlights.
-Oh man, this has got to be a hell of a shock to them I bet-
No sooner than upon having that thought does their question ring out.
"Curator, why does that beast have mandibles in your color?"
-How to approach this....how to approach it. I COULD just tell them, but, how would they learn a proper lesson from that. Ah, that's it!-
With a quick mental visual of flipping a switch to connect a circuit to, hopefully, allow the connection would work as that purest of pure joys is shared with my first friend in these lands. It's so easy to tell it worked too, as the stop, shudder, and start to rock side to side, almost like one does with music. Giving them a minute to experience that, the mental switch would be flipped off before responding to their question, with my own.
'That was how Poppit felt from being given a mind like you have. Do you still think they are just a beast?'
Her response is, surprisingly, quick, and really from the heart.
I feel myself swelling with pride....wait, not just pride but that energy too! Huh. Does teaching to real understanding actually....give me energy too? That oddly would make sense wouldn't it, that weird voice did refer to me as the aspect of knowledge. Isn't the point of knowledge to be shared with others to teach, and give true understanding of things to them, to help solve conundrum and destroy fear or terror created by the unknown. Curiouser and curiouser this will very much so need to be looked into, for now though, lets just give Poppit a small bit of time to get used things before giving them their first task!
