Curator POV
Now that some basics have been dealt with, like protecting myself some, and doing the same for Babe it's now time to take stock and come up with a plant to get some proper safety. The basket hut think I've made will keep away prying eyes and discourage some creatures from trying to push their ways in but any intelligent creature would easily be able to bypass this. Thanks to that slight spring in the area I can influence I have water, with that, sand, and a few other things I could easily make some adobe to build with.
Although, if making this shelter was any indicator, such would use up quite a bit of this energy that I seem to build up, learning new things seems the best way to get more, and when Babe eats random things some energy seems to flow into me as well. Maybe if I could get a larger companion who could more and bigger things that would generate more energy? Lets take a look at what's available on that front before making plans then.
Focusing once more upon myself I'd see Babe has made her way into the basket hut now and has nestled into the flower alongside myself. It's actually pretty adorable how they rest one of their lil pinchers against their chelicerae almost in the manner a human would rest part of their hand against their lips when deep in thought. Let's leave them to it for now, after all, things are probably even stranger for them than for me. Sweeping my vision to pay a closer look at the torus that I am, two things would quickly sand out. The first that I've grown a fair bit from the looks of it, now being the size of an actual ring instead of the more cheerio size I'd first awakened as. The second that there's now a solid gold band around me, like a counter coil and there is still a good amount of dancing sparkles throughout the rest.
-Okay, so, that's an indicator of gettin' a kind of...threshold of energy. Good to know, so it seems to be stockpile-able or at least storable and not a constantly burning type thing like calories for ones metabolism would be. Hmmmm....now, is the best course of action to spend the energy to make a better shelter from myself, or, to see if I could find something to spend the energy on to befriend or endear like I accidentally did with Babe before having them do that.-

As I would ponder this, the sun would fully rise, streams of light shining in through small gaps in the little shelter. While not enough to put either of us at risk of serious exposure, it would at least, add some mood lighting into our lil home.
"Curator, what is my purpose? How can I help you?"
-Well, that's sudden, and kind of out of no where, lets deal with this right quick then onto other things.-
'Well, for now, you are, in a way, my first friend and companion here, so just being here is plenty. Later on down the road, I have some ideas and plans, which you'll probably like. So for now, let's just have your task be to stay safe and help me understand this world a bit better as you can'
With a 'nod' and a gesture with that a pincher from her eyes and moving like she is putting it palm up while moving it down and away from her face, it'd be clear to see she's less anxious now.
"As you wish, Curator, and thank you, for bestowing me with a mind with which to contemplate things. I look forward to the time when I can fulfil the hopes you have for me."
-Damnit Babe, yer gonna make me start gushin' over how much of a happy little accident that was. Seriously, just call me Bob Ross at this rate!-
While watching and fawning over babe I would...feel movement in the sand. My little sphere of influence has grown since first awakening and while I can 'see' everything in the area, what ever is actually in the sand, is still kinda hidden. Well, not entirely hidden, whatever it is, it's long, but it's hard to make out. Kinda like looking at some one across the street in a heavy downpour. Then it breaches the surface.
-That....that was not what I was expecting from a furred tunneling horror, but man oh man, does it match EVERY single word in that description. Let's just...get some confirmation.-
'Hey, Babe, is this one of those, furry tunneling horrors you'd mentioned?' the 'spoken' question paired with an imagining of showing a picture of what I'm currently looking at to my lil friend.
"Yes"
-Whelp, that's a short and concise answer, and man oh man am I glad my first order for Babe was to have them climb up here cause....that's no mole-
