Loyalty Explains Comments - Villages

Pinned Comment (Melena): I will be deleting all comments about the fact that I'm a loli or that are inappropriate.

Comment: Did this really need to be its own video?

Melena: Not really. I could also have uploaded every topic as a single, large video, but we would be stuck with the bad microphone I had at the beginning and without me actually being fully on screen. There would also be no editing in a world where I decided to release it all as one video. I split a topic into its own video if it would take the total word count of another video to over two thousand.

Comment: Can you change which Village you are associated with?

Melena: No. The Village you get your Class from is the Village you will be associated with forever.

Comment: What about village monsters and stuff?

Melena: You are right, I should have touched on them in this video. I will talk about them primarily in the video on Dungeons and Monster Nodes, because they are related and the mechanics of a Village Monster are less relevant here, but I should have at least mentioned them here.

Basically, a Village Monster is a monster that spawns 10 System days some time after a Village is created. Most of its Stats are roughly equivalent to a Level 30 monster, but with the Health of a level 50 monster. It can come in almost any form, and there are even Village Monsters that are from a race within the System.

These sapient Village Monsters always seem to imply there are more specific changes to Village Monsters that happen behind the scenes based on certain variables that are unknown to us. Given the inability for anyone except Patrons to visit worlds that have just integrated into the System, we cannot gather reliable data on what they mean.

This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.

The only lead we have will be mentioned in the Dungeons and Monster Nodes video.

Comment: There's a maximum number of Villages?

Melena: Yes. Villages can only be created a minimum of half a mile from each other. However, even if this limit is not perfectly met, the area around the Village is still unusable for creating a new Village. There has yet to be a world that has reached the mathematically highest possible number of Villages on a world. Yours was relatively close, but still nowhere near the worlds that originally had super tight control of its citizens before the System came.

Comment: How do you create a Village?

Melena: It is no longer possible to create a Village on your world. However, to do so, you must manipulate 1000 Mana into the same volume that a single point of Mana occupies when it is not actively manipulated to take up a different volume.

Comment: Can you destroy a Village?

Melena: The only known way to destroy a Village is for its Village Spirit to be eaten by its Village Monster. This will destroy the village, and in the process, remove the Classes it granted. This has resulted in Death in 100% of people above Level 1 and there are only 3 known cases of a Level 1 surviving having their Village destroyed.

Comment: I heard that if the vm eats your vs, it creates a dungeon. Is that true and you forgot, or did they lie to me?

Melena: Neither of those options are what happened. I remembered, it is just significantly more relevant to talk about it in the Dungeons and Monster Nodes video.

Comment: So, being a youtuber or streamer would generate tons of vp?

Melena: Yes, especially once Google and the Patron of Enchanting figure out how to allow people to create and upload videos exclusively through the System, rather than requiring a part of your technology. I doubt there will be many places that will not enjoy the functionality of this site, even if limited.

Comment: can a monster eat your village spirit after the quest i dont want to die painfully

Melena: No, you are safe from that happening after the Quest has been completed.
