In a different timeline, an unknown amount of time after the main events of chapter 35
Degritone arrived in his Patron's domain and heard her say, "You're back earlier than expected. I'd thought - who are you!?"
Degritone turned to look at his Patron, but she'd disappeared from the position her voice indicated. Chuuni spoke up, "Hey, now. No need for violence. None of us would even attempt to hurt you."
Degritone looked over at Chuuni and saw his cloak falling down to its resting position, though there was no visible source of attack. "Only one person should be able to enter here at a time. How did you get here?" He heard his Patron ask.
"Well, we are technically the same person. Look inside Degritone with soul sight, then look inside us. I'm honestly surprised him using a Condensing Tutorial Token didn't take us with him when this did."

After a few seconds, the Patron of Loyalty reappeared again, right in front of Chuuni. She poked a finger into his stomach hard enough that the clock blocked it. "You tell me exactly how this happened, or you won't be leaving here alive for messing with the soul of my protege."
"It's always been that way," Degritone said. "Or, at the very least, it's been that way since the system arrived."
She looked at him. "What do you mean?"
"Before the system update, while I was still in the beta for the updates, I had a Soul Sight skill, which allowed me to see my soul. I assume that there's some lines on it splitting it into three sections, right?" His Patron nodded. "It was that way even way back at the beginning. My guess is it's," long pause, "what these two are. They're Music and Chuuni, who lived in my head before the system came. They're parts of myself that split off to form their own personalities."
She hesitated for a second, but seeing Degritone's face, she relented. "Fine. I'll be monitoring the situation carefully, though. Are you ready for your next test?"
