Even though she was covered in crimson-hued scales, she didn’t look outside of the place. The battlefield was fitting for someone with her looks. The hairs fluttering behind her were hot enough to burn most metals in second grade and anyone who went near her would feel pain in their soul literally. The beautiful armor covering her was radiating a dangerous feel as if it would burn anything that touched it.
It was a pity that the two Visigoths didn’t have long-range skill otherwise they wouldn’t have dared to go anywhere near her. Still, she looked unblemished in the midst of corpses and blood. The two Visigoths reached towards her in an instant, their fists covered with jade white aura pulsating with dangerous aura. This time they were giving their all because they knew the more they stall, the harder it would be for them especially if Kumari got a reinforcement.
They didn’t hope for any of the Thapa clan elders to come to their aid so they were on their own. If they messed up even once, they were royally screwed. The attack from Alaric was stopped by the cauldron which emitted a ‘ding’ sound once again sending shockwaves all around it. The crimson-hued fire surrounding it had started clinging onto Alaric and he had to use a lot of aura to extinguish it. This time he had to use a bit more aura because Frideric wasn’t there to share the damage like last time.
He realized he had severely underestimated the capability of this flame to drain his aura. He had to be careful next time otherwise he wouldn’t have any more aura left after a few attacks. Liu Ming was still looking for the right time to sneak attack. Kumari was an alchemist so her soul power was naturally strong and with the crimson armor around her, she would be able to withstand most of her attacks.
He could use those talismans to bother her now and then but the flame wall she could conjure would make most of those attacks useless. For someone at the ninth stage of the foundation building realm, most of the attacks from middle stage foundation building realm cultivators could be brushed with a wave of their hand. The trio at the moment of excitement had forgotten that Kumari was also a ninth stage foundation building realm cultivator.
Among the three of them, only Alaric was at that stage. She was an alchemist so most of them had ignored this point but she had a wonderful cauldron that could spew crimson-hued flames and could be manipulated by her at whim. If she didn’t have those two things, she would be almost as strong as an average cultivator at the ninth stage of the foundation building realm due to her mastery of fire but coupled with two very compatible factors she was a force to be reckoned with.
Frideric realized this when he got a punch from her. When he attacked from Kumari’s left side, he became instantly glad when he saw the cauldron moving towards Alaric so he pumped even more aura to his attack. When he reached near her, the heat from the crimson-hued armor was making him uncomfortable and he thought the faint sense of danger was due to the flame so he didn’t think about it too much. When his fist connected with another fist, he realized his fist couldn’t move an inch further.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
He had seen Kumari as a fragile alchemist who wouldn’t be able to withstand one of his punches but at this moment he realized how wrong he was. Not to mention she was a full stage ahead of him, the Lunaris city didn’t know anything about her abilities. From the moment she came to the Rijal clan with Keshab all the people of Lunaris city and Rijal clan knew about her was that she was from outside the Lunaris city and she was a good alchemist.
They didn’t even know her surname or the past nor anyone dared to ask her about it as she was already Keshab’s fiancée when she stepped into the Rijal clan. From then on due to her status and her ability to create pills, no one wanted to be on her bad side. What the people of the Lunaris city didn’t know was that she didn’t cultivate any of the clan’s martial arts but her own and her main cultivation technique was related to fire. But her strength as a cultivator was above average in the same stage.
When Frideric’s fist collided with another fist, the crimson-hued scale made of fire began clinging to his aura and the moment he wanted to withdraw his fist, a sense of danger arose and he put another fist in front of his stomach. Being a body path cultivator, his reaction speed was nothing to scoff at but at this moment he barely managed to block a flaming punch to his stomach. The fist filled with fire almost broke the bones on his hands but he somehow managed to get a bit far from Kumari.
At this moment Frideric realized Kumari’s body was almost as strong as his own but the only thing they knew about her was that she was a qi path cultivator. Although Kumari didn’t use aura on this attack, just a bit of qi added in her punch was enough to send him back few meters. If she had used her full attack, then he probably wouldn’t have been able to get away with almost broken bones. None of them knew there was someone as strong as Kumari in the Rijal clan.
When Frideric went a few meters back, Alaric and Liu Ming regrouped once again and looked at Kumari with a wary gaze. The crimson-hued flame had thrown them off-guard at first but this time they were really afraid. If Kumari who was an alchemist was this strong then what other trump cards were the Rijal clan hiding? The alliance had already lost a lot of middle and lower battle prowess cultivators previously and the war seemed to be intent on taking more lives.
If this trend followed then even if they won the war today, there would barely be any able cultivators left in their clan tomorrow. But even if the worst happened, they couldn’t desert this battle and run away because their clan members wouldn’t be able to see the sunrise if they left right now either by the Rijal clan or the Thapa clan. They didn’t seem to be able to defeat Kumari anytime soon but they also couldn’t leave.
This was a conundrum. Since there was no going back the three cultivators decided to keep this stalemate and lengthen this battle until the Thapa clan cultivators defeated Punya and came to their aid. There was no other way. They would have to keep this going even if the sun rises.
