Chapter 108: Battle II

As they began to battle barehanded, the clash of two fists covered in auras was creating shockwaves and electrifying energy around them. Amyas was a veteran in the middle stage of the foundation building realm or the Body cleansing realm. If not for lack of treasures, he would have already reached the late stage of the body cleansing realm.

Among the three paths, the soul path required more comprehension and a strong innate soul, whereas the body path required a lot of resources. As for the qi path, it was the mainstream and more balanced. With a bit of luck, many would be able to breakthrough to the next realm. Amyas retreated and looked at Amrit “I know all the foundation building realm cultivators in the Rijal clan and none of them follow the body path of cultivation. And the cultivation technique you are using is something I haven’t seen yet. Tell me why are you meddling in the Rijal clan’s affairs. I don’t want to kill an unknown man.”

Hearing this Amrit looked at Amyas and replied “Who I am is none of your concern. What you should be concerned about is how you are going to get out of this alive.” Saying this Amrit used his aura to cover his body completely and a whirlwind type of force was gathered on his fists. This was no technique, just an application of the usage of force. What Amrit was trying to do was use the motion of a whirlwind to shock the internal organs of the opponent. While fighting with the previous opponents, he found his strength was not at full potential.

Although his battle prowess was extraordinary, he felt there was something missing. He could damage the enemies with a punch wrapped in his aura but without techniques, but the actual damage caused was lower than what it should have been. This only created a situation where the usage of aura was not worth it. He had tried to create his own technique when battling the beasts in the illusion array but he wasn’t quite satisfied with what he had got. Although there were a few fist techniques of body path in the Rijal clan, he didn’t find them suitable for his cultivation technique.

And the interesting thing was that for the Asura clan with such a strong body, he hadn’t gotten any martial techniques for body path when every body part of the Asura was a weapon. The martial techniques he had gotten were the heavenly halberd technique and the nine nether technique. Even for the soul cultivation technique, there was none of it, only the fortification technique of the consciousness. So when he was battling the previous body path cultivator, the force exerted by the fist technique had entered his body which gave him few ideas.

He had even taken a few punches on purpose just to finalize his idea. And now he got a preliminary glimpse of what his first self-created fist technique was going to be. He already had full control over the aura of his body but he couldn’t quite visualize how he was going to utilize the force when it made an impact. When his fist clashed with Amyas, he let a little bit of aura enter his body so that he could feel what caused the most damage to the internal part of a cultivator.

And after taking a few blows, he figured out a way to drill the aura into the opponent’s body. The solution to that conundrum was a circular force. Although it was tough to maintain a whirlwind when it came in contact with the enemy’s body if the force applied was circular in motion, its drilling capacity increased by quite a lot. And as the aura gets into circular motion, he could increase the pressure at the center making it a conical shape, literally a drill that will have a devastating attack and penetrating power.

Once he penetrates the opponent’s defense of qi or aura, then it is a simple matter to let his aura run havoc on the opponent’s body. He had figured out the part about making the aura into a conical shape or in general creating a whirlwind of aura in his fists, what stomped him was the part about how the force would affect the opponent’s body because he had already tried it once and when his aura entered the opponent’s body, it simply dispersed causing minimal damage.

Maybe it was a subconscious act of the opponent’s body defense mechanism, or maybe the technique was not quite developed. But after fighting with Amyas, Amrit was figuring it out bit by bit and the solution seemed simple. When he observed how the damage was caused on his body, he found that the opponent’s aura contained a bit of his will, not the soul power but will as in command. So he was trying to use his moves on Amyas.

At this moment both cultivators leaped and clashed with their fists. Although they were battling with just their auras, their clash was devastating. There were shockwaves ripping the ground and sending the sands and green grasses flying through the air but it didn’t bother the two men. They were just battling in the most primal way possible, just using their fists and sometimes head-butting each other. Amrit was engrossed in creating his technique and he did get a bit of an enlightenment here and there.

The Asura clan was known for their fighting skills and they were able to identify the flaws in the opponent’s move after a few bouts but finding flaws and fixing were two different things. Anyone with a little bit of battle instincts or some good comprehension was able to identify such weakness but it may take decades for a clan to fix these flaws. As they battled, Amrit got deeper enlightenment on his moves.

The way the moves of Amyas were affecting him and the way the aura crept through his defense and onto his body as well as how they damaged inside after they bypassed his defenses. After a few bouts, Amrit felt that he could probably create the first move he had envisioned for a while. On the other hand, Amyas was getting surprised as the battle went on. He was giving his all and he also knew that Amrit was also not holding much back but the more the battle went on, the smoother and heavier Amrit’s aura became.

At first, Amyas thought it was due to his unpolished aura but when he started battling, he realized it was not the case at all, the control Amrit had over his aura was simply perfect. But later he realized that Amrit was trying something with him, it felt as if Amrit was treating him as a grindstone for his new technique. This made him furious. It was good that he didn’t know Amrit was creating a new technique in the midst of battle otherwise he would have fainted.
