Chapter 6 The Dao

Leo woke up in a comfortable bed drowsy and tired he stood up and saw a sleeping Peak on a chair next to him a half written note scrawled on the desk next to her. Leo picked up the note: You have two choices. 1. Take the sword I left for you on the doorway and go pave your own path. 2. Stay here and wait for me to wake up treat yourself to some stuff and then we’ll talk about some other ways. Leo thought over it and went outside of the bedroom walked to the kitchen and opened a weird looking fridge.

The fridge was floating was shaped in a circle and was blue. Leo took out something that looked like a steak using the system built in observation skill al cultivators have he found out that the steak looking thing was called a [Warhog Steak] F-Grade. Leo raised it up tentatively and saw that it was already cooked to perfection. Leo sat down beside the table picking up the translucent knife and fork on the dinner table. Leo sliced open the steak as he mused over his decision. Putting piece after piece in his mouth Leo barely registered the steak’s flavor immersed in his thoughts. Leo could still barely believe that he had blown away a Monarch and what was with his weird skill. Leo knew what Dao was as the fundamental building block the Dao is concepts put in a tangible form. Dao could take many forms some places had Dao in them making cultivation much easier.

Cultivators had Dao in them it was what allowed them to do supernatural feats. The Dao was what truly let cultivators gain control over reality. For example someone with a Dao Seed of Sharpness would find that his attacks would carry an inherent sharpness letting even mortals to slice through diamonds with their bare hands. And that was just an Early Mastery Dao Seed it was no wonder that cultivators with Space related Earthly Dao’s could teleport split apart space and crush black holes. But what was theory in front of an unknown Dao. Leo has never heard of a Heavenly Peak Of Dao but it sounds like something that would make even the A-Grade Supremacies Leo has heard from the Monarch drool with desire.

The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.

Leo knew that the most common analogy for the Dao was that it was like a mountain range with each peak representing a concept of unimaginable power. Dao’s weren’t necessarily better than each other some just aren’t as developed. In every Era the Dao crumbles and all power retreat back into a singular source basically turning the mountain range into a plain. The Dao is also more spread out and when life reappears they slowly cultivate the Dao upwards and once they make it to the top they can actually influence the Dao itself “fixing” the Dao peak’s to suit their Path. Some Path’s haven’t been walked that much causing the difficulty of climbing it way harder.

Some paths are so undeveloped they’re called the Unorthodox it happens when a top figure ends up needing to destroy or weaken a Peak. These Peak’s are so broken climbing them is against Heaven’s Path becoming their own Peak entirely. And even Autarchs can’t do anything even close to that. Leo had a grand suspicion that the only beings strong enough to influence a peak would be those Supremacies even then he wasn’t sure a weak one would be able to do so and the strongest probably couldn’t do it without sustaining insane injuries. After all cultivating is essentially stealing from the Heavens taking the Dao and remolding it into your own image how could it be easy much less destroying the Dao. Before long Leo ate his steak up and heard footsteps coming from the bedroom.
