Leo stretched his arms and got up. It’s been a week since the incident Peak disappeared and he’s been staying at Meira’s and Hubert’s home. They were living together though they both staunchly refused to admit to their obvious connection. Leo walked outside his new bedroom and saw that Meira and Hubert already left probably for some mission with Slasher leaving behind one note.
We got an opportunity to go see the heart of the Sword Saint Sects domain. The Sword Saint Terrace. It’s a huge opportunity that we got only because of Slasher’s old connections we’re going to be out for a couple days and don’t do anything crazy while we’re gone.
Leo sighed thinking how unlucky he was to be injured while all this excitement was going on. The Emperor stated that it would be until tomorrow that he would have his full strength and start adventuring again. He pulled up his quests to check that nothing has changed.

“What is it still bored?” “You know that I would have killed to have a week off when I was a cultivator right?”
Leo grunted sealing away the Emperor. “If you don’t have anything to say that’s not about how great you were then don’t speak.”
Knock. Knock.
Leo immediately went on high alert drawing his [Black Steel Katana]. Although not at full strength Leo was stronger than any level 30 cultivator had any right to be. Still Leo was cautious as he peeped through the hole. A cloaked figure limping with an arm severed off stood outside aura fluctuating wildly.
Leo gulped confused who this mystery figure was. The Emperor broke free of Leo’s suppression and spoke :”She’s strong really strong.” Leo felt the pit in his stomach grow bigger the Emperor never liked to admit anyones strength even when talking about Slashers impressive Transcendence he only commented that it was basic. What kind of monster could make the Emperor admit their strength.
“Should I open it?”
“Yeah, she’s also only F-Grade and she doesn’t seem to be in the best way if you catch my drift.”
Leo took a deep breath and opened up the door. The cloaked figure wobbled in and fell onto the couch. Two faint white orbs behind the oppressive dark of the cloak.
“Thank you. I was wondering if I would survive after all.”
Leo eyes thinned :”You have a lot of questions to answer.”
The figure laughed weakly :”I guess introductions are due. Name’s Shade Saint.”
Leo’s managed to make his face impassive :”Saint. The same last name as Peak were they …….. related? Peak never mentioned having a brother or a sister.”
Meanwhile the Emperor roared straining to tell Leo something but he payed no attention instead silencing the Emperor and prepared the multitude of questions he had.
Shade was indeed a relative of Peak’s she was Peak’s older sister as for the reason Peak never mentioned her was because of Shade’s weird Path that deviated from the standard Saint Path Peak’s family followed. The standard path was the pure cultivation of the sword and the sword only through the sword vanquish all enemies. Shade followed a different path she had higher ambitions and strived to become a Supremacy she believed that to become a true Supremacy one needed both the glory of an Empress and the cruel nature of a cold unfeeling monster only through both could one become a Supremacy. Naturally no one was better than the other all Paths end up leading to the Terminus which Leo learned from the Emperor was the Peak Of Dao the very peak that all cultivators grasp for.
Shade staunchly refused to talk about her severed arm and always dodged the topic expertly. Leo found no way to force the truth out of her so he instead opted for the question that he was dying to ask
“Do you know where Peak is now?”
“No idea I came to this town to look for her actually.”
“Ugh. I really was hinging on you having a clue of where she is.”
“I could know a clue or two to where she could be.”
“Name your price.”
“One spar hold nothing back a true clash of fates.”
“You’re on.”
