The assassin’s aura became more primal and the swords and daggers were replaced by claws and teeth. Shade dashed forward slashing at the beasts ankle but the beast jumped with surprising agility. The assassin turned beast whirled around and slashed at Shade with a speed that put even the assassin’s previous form at shame. The claws were also infused with some kind of Sharpness Dao at the level of around Peak Seed bordering on Low Fragment the stage after seed. Shade’s midsection was ripped to shreds and she was sent flying back heavily injured.
Instead of pressing the attack the assassin ran trying to leave without killing them scared of their supposed “ancestors” coming back for revenge. Leo shot out the same inky black liquid at the assassin blasting it back. A furious primordial roar ripped the trees out of their roots and am avatar of War appeared behind Shades mangled body. Six arms all stabbing at the assassins body all holding different weapons. The assassin just dashed forward using his superior speed to run but for some reason the assassin ran straight into the weapons. Shade laughed maniacally as the assassin had six deep gashes running along his body. Leo put one and one together and realized the avatar had some sort of taunting effect pulling opponents who try to run away closer.
The avatar’s weapons changed to different armaments from a set of prayer beads to an old Chinese calculator from the old ages and a bell marked with exquisite gold runes. The assassin grunted as a mirage of the bell bigger than him slammed down trapping him. But Shade wasn’t done and seven beads flew out of Shade’s avatars prayer beads. The beads circled around the bell shooting golden lasers that burned a whole new set of runes on them. The bell’s aura condensed and Shade spoke quietly though her words seemed to carry more weight than the Heavens themselves.
“Bell Of Glory.”
Stolen story; please report.
The bell shone even brighter nearly blinding Leo as the clouds parted and a golden spear stabbed down. The assassin looked dead inside as he looked up into the godly spear. The bell opened up and the spear drove him into the ground. After this Shade fell down unconscious. Leo sat back and closed his eyes before realizing something. He didn’t get any Energy from the kill! Dread rose up inside of him as he saw the assassin in his previous form missing his left arm limp out of the crater.
The assassin spat blood on the side only good hand clutching at his stump and tore off his mask using Energy looked Leo dead in the eye and said.
“You’re fucking strong.”
Leo didn’t hold back and he rushed forwards black ink forging makeshift blades on the sides of his arms. The assassin’s red eyes clouded up and mysterious runes appeared on them. Leo felt an increasing amount of dread as he slowed down not by will. The assassin was using taboo methods to deal with them! One of the red orbs shattered sending blood spurting everywhere. Leo’s attack ground down to a halt and he couldn’t even move. The assassin limped forward unable to move fast as a sword marked with taboo runes appeared in his remaining right hand.
Leo felt Death approach as the blade was swung towards his neck. The blade moved exceptionally slow as Leo flinched waiting for Death. Wait. Leo flinched! He could move! Leo twisted nearly dodging the slash. The assassin looked at Leo with shock in his eyes. But it was for naught as an ocean full of ink swallowed him up. Leo backed up and stumbled into someone.
Turning around he saw a pristine woman wearing white robes showing off a rather normal aura. Leo immediately stepped back into a defensive position sighing as he let the Void churn in his body once again. But his attempts failed him as the Void closed up not allowing him to siphon any more Void Energy. The woman sighed as she sat down conjuring chairs for her and Leo.
“So rash, though I’m not surprised. You really mirror that man you know?” The woman poured a cup of tea that Leo didn’t realize was even conjured. Leo took a sip. “I’m sorry elder but I’m afraid I don’t know who you’re talking about.”
An aura of ruthlessness and blood suddenly radiated from the woman and Leo thought he saw a warmonger bathed in blood but he was knocked back to reality by the woman tapping on his forehead. The woman sighed swirling her cup :”Even after all these years I still don’t understand. How’d you do it Zachary?” Leo looked curiously at the woman :”Who’s Zachary?” The Emperor took control immediately and Leo felt words spoken from his lips :”Long time no see. Void Priestess.”
