The Heavens shook and Leo grimaced when he saw red runes appear in the sky what was that he just said? Leo couldn’t remember and the piece of paper was disintegrated. The Emperor growled as he looked up at the clouds gathering.
“Heaven’s Descent” the Empower muttered “Give me control now.”
Leo receded control and backed off seeing how the Emperor would deal with this. A blast of red energy fell from the Heavens it differed from the azure blue most Tribulations were the Heavens weren’t holding back they were out for blood. The Emperor laughed and opened his arms unleashing the Void ripping the strand of lightning apart. The Emperor laughed continuously and Leo’s black eyes turned red as the lightning filled every inch of his body.
The Emperor felt his power draining no matter how much he reserved it. He sighed he knew that he was making a bet on this kid. His plan failed and his power was getting stripped away. The power he fought for fading away the power he planned to use to kill Shade. Now he would have to put his trust into this kid as he gave up control.
Leo felt immense pain as he regained his body the first thread was gone sucked up by whatever means the Emperor used. But the Heavens weren’t so easily denied. The second barrage was coming. The beam of light pierced straight through Leo’s heart and something stirred within Leo. Leo growled and put his hands on the ground hoping to disperse the energy. The ground split a s red energy splintered the ground sending shockwaves everywhere.
But it was not enough.
Leo felt his consciousness slip away and motes of black clouded his vision. The Emperor growled and took control once again absorbing the energy the best he could in his limited state. Leo felt his soul was under attack and his Soul Aperture was crumbling quick. Leo staunchly refused to get decimated and took control again taking on the 3rd volley of energy.
Then Fire and Water converged a shield blocking the energy from getting to Leo followed up by a golden aura covering Leo an arrow made of shadows slamming into the energy trying to draw it off course. And finally a sword made of Dao appeared aimed at the Heavens. The barrage of attacks did little to drain the energy and it stilled cracked through Slasher’s domain hitting Leo. The energy surged targeting Leo’s heart.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
Leo’s heart opened up showing an endless abyss swallowing the energy and ripping it apart. Leo felt a brief feeling of rest and opened his eyes to see his team members looking anxiously right back at him. The Heavens groaned and the Law Of Balance was set. The Heavens couldn’t continue the attack without disrupting Balance.

Leo felt a surge of power as the energy was sent to some Void of existence purified into something he could use. Leo stood up and the Emperor seemed to drained to speak Leo opened his eyes one red one black. Leo groaned but he felt his body contained more energy than before. A surge of purified Heavenly Lightning flooded his body pushing his level further.

Leo felt like shit but the euphoria of power took all his fatigue away. The Emperor sighed “And to think I only awakened my Bloodline in the E-Grade” The Emperor gave Leo a long insufferable look “I had to handcraft the very Bloodline Manual your holding right now and it took me centuries. To think you just get it.” Leo grunted though a smile shone through “What do you mean “just” get it I nearly got burnt to a crisp.” “Bah, what do you know?” But he left the topic.
Meira the archer ran over and poured a bottle of red liquid down Leo’s throat. “Guys who in the Nine Heavens was he talking to?” Hubert looked at Leo like he was psycho. Slasher got down to one knee and applied flames to Leo’s already charred body. The dead skin was burnt into ash and Leo went from looking like a pile of ash to becoming a bright red body of flesh. Surprisingly it didn’t hurt probably courtesy to Meira’s potion. Hubert stepped up and activated [Healing Aura] as a warm soothing sensation over took Leo like a tidal wave. Leo’s skin slowly grew back and soon he was fully healed minus a set of scars on his chest that refused to fade. His team looked at him questionably and after 3 seconds of awkward silence punched like ravage beasts on fresh meat.
“What was that aura?”
“What drew the Heavens to attack?”
“Why is your aura so strong?”
“Who were you talking to?”
Leo smiled and answered each of them one by one patiently. Surprisingly Peak wasn’t there and the team said that she left some time during the chaos. Leo felt a pang of worry as he thought of where Peak could have went to. He opened up his status screen and marveled at the changes.
