Leo frowned. He had doubted the man’s strength at first from the awkward phrase that was clearly pre written to the lack of true danger from the first strike. Now he wouldn’t take any such chances. Looking at him Leo realized he also had extreme regeneration abilities the arm that was cut off was back and radiated the same power the original had. Leo smiled. What was the better way of learning and pushing past your limits than fighting a powerful opponent?
Dismantle. Leo pointed at his opponent. But his opponent was still too damn quick. A trio of throwing daggers shot at him from three different directions. Leo did a quick spin dodging the daggers but he unsuspectedly walked right into the next attack as two identical sabers stabbed out at Leo’s exposed back. Leo pushed his body to its limits of what [Void God] would take him and spun.
Leo’s movement would mean a broken spine for most and even Leo was surprised by how easy it was to execute. But he wasn’t out of the danger yet. A lance marked with runes slashed at him Leo took a step back and grinned. Dismantle! Leo felt his understanding crystallize and was rewarded by a notification but he had no time to marvel the spectacle.
Asil frowned as he felt the familiar feeling of an epiphany through the native. He somehow managed to speed up the casting process of his skill which Asil could only call Dismantle. Asil grimaced as he felt the sudden need to go all out. A shame I had to unleash this so soon. Asil gathered his energy as he activated his Domain.
Leo felt pure euphoria as his [Void Dismantle] hit damaging his opponent. But a feeling of danger rose as he studied his opponents eyes carefully. Regret was evident as his opponent clasped his hands in a prayer gesture. Leo felt a horrible feeling as his surroundings were blocked out by huge chunks of shadows. Soon a dome made of entirely shadows covered Leo.
“I didn’t want to use this ability this soon. It’s shameful to have to pull this out before meeting another Heavens Chosen.”
Leo grimaced he’s heard of the term Heavens Chosen before it was used to describe the pinnacle of talent people chosen by the very Heavens. But there was no fear as his Dao Seed Of Will flooded his body strengthening his will and body. Suddenly Leo felt his perception warp as he was practically teleported to the other side of the dome by a fist. He wasn’t able to react as he was flung into the air than stabbed by two daggers in his legs.
Leo coughed out a pool of blood and pumped energy into his legs to keep them upright the daggers disappeared in a puff of smoke and Leo immediately spun around pointing towards what seemed like air and casted [Void Dismantle]. A pained screech sounded as his opponent was flung out of the air. Leo didn’t hold back as he pointed again with both hands and double casted [Void Dismantle].
Asil groaned as he stumbled back. HOW!? He was promised that only Heavens Chosen with perception based abilities would be able to find him in his Domain! How could this frontier brute figure it out!
Leo smiled a bloody grin as e saw the pure confusion on his opponents face. Leo knew that if it wasn’t for his obscene stat pool of Luck he wouldn’t have been able to find out. Leo wasn’t dumb he knew that his Luck was simply monstrous probably even surpassing that of even the most loved Heavens Chosen. It was his Danger Sense as Leo liked to call it that warned him of the incoming attack. This Domain might be sure kill for most but to Leo it was a complete joke.
Leo dashed forward slamming a [Void Slash] into the ground causing a huge crack in the floor of the Domain. His opponent dodged to the side stabbing with what looked like a butter knife but with his Danger Sense practically screaming at him he knew things weren’t so simple. Leo dodged to the side sending another [Void Dismantle] into his opponent.

Leo was about to finish the job with another [Void Slash] as he felt a palm block his attack effortlessly. Leo immediately ran knowing that whatever could tank his [Void Slash] like that wasn’t someone he could compete with. The seemingly simple man not radiating a speck of energy suddenly appeared in front of him pushing him back.
“I’m sorry but I’m afraid I can’t let you kill my dear Asil.” The man kindly said.
Leo grimaced feeling as though he had been cheated out of a fortune. Someone like Asil was bound to have an absolute fortune of money maybe even counted in D-Grade Nexus Coins yet it was snatched out of his hands.
“If it’s any consolation we’d be willing to compromise with 5 C-Grade Nexus Coins and a favor from the League Of Shadows.”
Leo’s eyes bulged out of their sockets. 5 C-Grade Nexus Coins!!! That was a grand total of a five billion E-Grade Nexus Coins! He opened up his Status screen.

His “fortune” was nothing more than a rounding error in front of this insane sum of money. And a favor owed by the League Of Shadows? That was not even counted in money. The League Of Shadows were a group of insanely powerful hitman consisting of A-Grade Supremacies at their peak and they were considered the most reliable group of assassins in the whole Multiverse. Their influence spanned across millions of sectors trillions of trillions of worlds with an acceptance rate of nearly zero.
To think this brat belonged to them shocked Leo. The Large Of Shadows were known for being ruthless to their enemies but even more ruthless to themselves to think this carefree kid to be their Heavens Chosen surprised Leo.
The man grimaced as he saw Leo’s expression :”I know, how could this kid be our elite? To be fair he’s only this strong because he’s one of my sons. I couldn’t care less about his life but it would be a bad look for a seat holder like me let my offspring die below our very noses.”
Leo nodded too scared to say anything in fear of offending this monster. Leo finally managed to speak:”Sir, if you don’t mind me asking which seat do you hold? And why did you bother with giving me money and a favor you could have just killed me right?”
“I hold the seat of Exaltation you know me by the Exalted Shadow. And Karma is real and very much deadly there’s a reason those peace loving monks still stand strong as a pinnacle faction. A Karma Debt has incurred and if I had killed you today there might be annoyances down the line. And truthfully 5 C-Grade Nexus Coins isn’t a lot. The favor is troublesome but don’t expect us to go assassinate a Supremacy for you. The favor is only bound to people your grade and approximate power level. There isn’t so much of a debt incurred that we’ll go around killing others factions Heavens Chosen for you. We don’t want a repeat of what the Tayns did all those years ago to the baldies.” The Exalted Shadow explained.
Leo nodded fully understanding what the Exalted Shadow was talking about. The monks of the Buddhist Sangha were monstrous. Their Holy Land was in such good karma that whoever attacks the monks living within will suffer from a backlash as great as the Fate converged inside of the Holy Land. Considering literal Supremacies are there The Holy Land’s fate couldn’t be stronger and whoever decided to wage war against the Buddhist Sangha would be cursed with bad fortune for the remainder of their life.
The event the Exalted Shadow talked about was when the Disaster Flame descended on the Monks Holy Land. The Disaster Flame was a Supremacy that people considered high tier and she was still alive and well sitting at Late Grade Supremacy. When she arrived on their Hold Land the Monks were confident in their power and Fate. But the Disaster Flame came prepared and the full might of the Tayn Clan was summoned as an apparition of Iz Tayn a terrifying being from Eras ago was summoned. The Tayn Clan spent millennial making the apparition and Iz Tayn was considered to be on a level beyond Supremacies. The sheer power of the apparition completely ravaged the Buddhist Sangha and the Holy Land was burnt down.
Even now billions of years later the Buddhist Sangha was still recovering. It cemented the Tayn Clan as one of the scariest existences in the whole Multiverse. Leo knew that grudges could be form instantly and killing a factions Heaven Chosen was an easy way to declare war on someone. If Leo had actually killed Asil he wouldn’t be alive right now and he was more than happy with what happened.
The Exalted Shadow poked Leo’s chest and Leo felt runes get engraved onto his pathways. “Just activate this rune by sending a piece of Intent into it. I’ll be on the other side or if it is you’re going to die and you need a life saving grace just mentally or physically say the words Exalted Shadow help. I’ll jump in and save you from a situation. Don’t expect me to fight a Supremacy for you though.”
Leo bowed “I thank the Exalted Shadow for his help.”
The Domain crumbled a second later and Leo found himself in a battlefield with barely anyone left.
Asil groaned as he felt his bones creak. Ugh. What a monster. Asil muttered as he got ready to take his punishment for embarrassing the League.
