There was a giant hall in the middle of nowhere. The place had so much space that it was impossible to tell if there was any entrance or exit. What was highly noticeable though were the 6 big Statues in the midst. Although the Statues were relatively big in proportion, the had a distinct size difference between them. One of the Statues that was staying in the center of them all, indicating that he was probably the leader or the initiator, made the first step in. He resembled the body form of a human and it was pretty much indistinguishable if it were not for the stone around it.
"Your visit was expected" said the Statue.
Lara was completely left in awe, although she had always had a glimmer of hope in her that what Sett was doing could have been real and it would have taken them to some places, she never knew exactly for sure it would have been of this calibre. She was not scared per se, she was rather bewildered at what had happened. The anger had been feeling just a few moments ago was still present, but it was harder to notice considering the situation they were in. The Statue that resembled the human was not a threat to her, she was sure she had come to a peaceful place like she had imagined. When she started calming down and getting more relieved she quickly realized something very odd. She wasn't pregnant -- there were no signs of blood, no baby around, no nothing. It took her an instant to immediately start panicking as a result and she didn't know what to do. For once, she couldn't rely on Sett.
Sett, on the other hand, was ecstatic the entire time. He had a smile on his face that wouldn't vanish and it just kept getting bigger and bigger. For him, this was all he has ever wanted. He knew that he wasn't crazy, he knew that he had been searching for something that was real and he was going to do everything he could to make it real. All the time he had spent crafting and studying and experiment had finally paid off. The weird part was that we did not care about his daughter at all, he only had a purpose, which was to become the ruler of the Otherworld. In the midst of all, he wasn't even noticing that Lara was crying and asking for help.
"It was expected?". replied Sett.
"Yes, it indeed was." said the Statue back, "Lemme welcome you to the Epilium. This is where the connection between the multiple dimensions happens. To go through any world you need to pass here first. I noticed that you made the portal for the Otherworld, we were counting on you."
"Yessir! I never stopped working on it once." replied Sett proudly, "I have read that I could become the ruler on the Otherworld, is that the case?"
"That is indeed something that you will be rewarded with, considering your loyalty, that would only be fit." said the Statue.
In an instant, the statue did a movement with its finger and a ray hit Sett right on his. He was laying on the floor two seconds after. Lara couldn't believe her eyes. She went from losing her daughter to now her soon-to-be-husband. She didn't know what to do, so she did what she knew best: fight. She got up, she wasn't scared anymore, at the end of the day she had nothing to lose and she started approaching the Statue.
"I would advice against that." intercepted the Statue.
Lara kept walking and walking until there was a barrier between her and her destination. She started hitting it, punching it, and slapping it. She did so repeatedly for minutes. She had lost hope in everything. Then a second later, her hand was grabbed. She was confused, the 6 Statues were precisely in front of her, who could have done that? She turned around just to see Sett standing on his feet with wings. He was not her Sett, he was a different creature. In the blink of an eye, he destroyed the barrier. The Statues were not surprised by that.

"This feels amazing. I know this is your doing, thank you for that," said Sett as she let go of Lara's hand. "Is there anything I can do to repay you for this?"
"Well, to make the passage fully operational, we need something from you. Something very precious." said the Statue.
Something incredible happened at that moment, the portal reappeared and the entire hall was lit up. The light got from very radiating to less in an instant but it was bright enough to see the difference from what it was before. Everyone was shocked, apart from the Statues. Behind the portal, a cry was heard. A baby cry. Lara got up, with her hands bleeding, and rushed to the destination. She knew it, it was her child. She was alive. For once since they had made their arrival at the place, she was crying happy
tears. Sett was still looking at his fully changed body.
"So, what do you want from me?" asked Sett.
"The baby." replied the Statue immediately.
There was something that struck Sett out of nowhere and he could not believe himself either. Suddenly, images of him and his family being all together, sitting, eating dinner and watching TV were the only important things. Sett wasn't malicious, he was just blinded by a desire that had overtaken him. Hearing of the possibility of his daughter getting taken away from him and his family being dismantled really made him take a second and reflect on anything. He loved his family, he always had. He started running towards his wife and newborn baby. He started apologizing for what he had done and how much it had changed him. But it was too late, Lara had had enough
so he pushed him away.
"A very heartwarming moment, but we had a deal." interrupted the Statue. "We need that human baby to finish our ritual."
The human Statue rushed towards the baby with the intent of taking it away. Sett impulsively counter-attacked. The two of them started hitting blows back and forth with one another but Sett had no idea what he was capable of. Sett did not know what he was doing, but he had a purpose: to protect his family; he had to gain their trust back somehow. The fight kept going on for a few minutes, but it mostly looked like the Statue was toying with Sett. After a second, the Statue hit Sett so hard that pushed him onto the wall
and left him injured.
"Bastard," yelled Sett.
The human Statue slowly started approaching the child with his mother.
"How long we have waited for this." said the Statue.
Lara tried jumping in in an attempt to protect her baby, but it was futile. It was only the Statue and the baby now. As he was about to take hold of the child, Sett appeared out of nowhere and pushed the Statue back, leaving both surprised. Sett, however, was completely calm.
"Daddy will make things right for once," said Sett.
Without realizing what he was doing, Sett gave some of his powers to his daughter, after the process was done. He took her and threw her into the portal together with an entity resembling her mother. And with that, the portal closed.
"WHAT DID YOU DO!" yelled the Statue, finally losing its composure.
"We had been waiting an eternity for this moment, and you just take it away from us like that?" the other Statues butted in. "Unacceptable."
"You crossed a line you shouldn't have," replied Sett.
He slowly got close to his soon-to-be-wife and helped her get out, Lara was still scared but somehow relieved.
"I am sorry you had to go through all of this," said Sett.
Lara kept staying silent.
"You have done a big mistake human." screamed the Statue.
In the next second, the two of them were split up by an unknown power. Lara was teleported somewhere else and Sett was left alone. A quick image of Lara being imprisoned was shown to Sett as he was the next one to be punished.
"Waiting a bit longer won't be the end of the universe." said the Statue calmly. "You will be sent to the Otherworld to rule there, knowing that you won't ever see your wife
again."
"We will meet one day again." continued the Statue.
"While we wait for The Next One."
