The Game of Evolution
Nancy and Vens

Nancy and Vens

In a large open forest with flowers and trees that were splattered across the ground was a small patch of grass in which a large wooden table with chairs was put.

Nancy was currently sitting in one of these chairs while she sipped some tea that she liked from a country she couldn't remember where it came from.

Next to her was the goddess of creativity Vens, who was standing on a chair, so she could look at the different creations on the table that she made.

"Vens honey, why do you always use clay to make your creations? Why not just make it using the powers this space provides as I do with my tea or our nice surroundings?"-Nancy

"Ah well, Nancy, I just like to create things in multiple styles and ways, so I will think of something, then write it down and draw it and then make it out of clay"-Vens

"But it would still be faster to do it my way, wouldn't it?"-Nancy

"Yes, it would, but I enjoy the creation process and being able to shape or draw what I make instead of it just popping into existence it makes things more fun"-Vens.

"Well, you do whatever makes you happy. Vens, just make sure to clean up once you're finished with them, okay?"-Nancy

"Don't worry Nancy, the table will be as clean as Minervas library"-Vens

"Doesn't her library constantly change with whoever is in it and whatever type of information you're looking for?"-Nancy

"Eh potato and potato"-Vens

"I think you mean tomato sweety"-Nancy

"Nope, I just like potatoes!"-Vens

A wide, sweet smile was always on Ven's face wish was the opposite of her brothers, who seemed to be a mix of curious and serious. But they both were still very much embodiments of their powers, so they worked well together, which was by design.

Vens quickly jumped off her chair and sat on Nancy's shoulder, which she likes to do from time to time, and so with this signal, Nancy got up and took a stroke through the forest.

Nancy gave a short hum of a song she would sing to her children when they had trouble sleeping at night and Vens rested on her shoulder.

"I hope that one day when Jack wins the game, I will get to see your kids and play with them, which will hopefully cheer them up"-Vens

"Thank you, Vens. I'm sure they're okay. My mother should be looking after them, and if not, I'm still sure they'll hold on until I get back. i raised them to be fighters"-Nancy

Vens scrambled up to Nancy's head as she leaned over her forehead and looked into her eyes as she poked her finger into her cheeks.

"I'm sure they're kicking ass and taking names while also keeping steady grades in school!"-Vens

"Ha ha thanks Vens im as good of a mother as I can be but I'm not amazing I'm sure they'll have some trips but they have their siblings to catch them when they fall"-Nancy

"Very wise words, and while I love this stroll, where exactly are we going?"-Vens

"Oh well, I think I've had enough time to think about things and process my emotions about the situation I'm in, and I'm ready to start kicking alien ass "-Nancy

"That's great, so are we going to Jack's space now even if it's a bit boring it's still fun to hang out with him"-Vens

"Not quite dear first. I want to talk to the other gods and get to know them and what they are like, and then I will want to talk to you and your brother"-Nancy

"Sure, no problem sounds exciting!"-Vens

"Then I want to get a quick look at how the two races have gotten along and are developing in terms of technology and the newly discovered magic"-Nancy

"And then we go talk to Jack?"-Vens

"Yes, then we talk to Jack to get an overall run down on what we hope to do for the future"-Nancy

"And then what after that?"-Vens

"Oh well I'm second in command but even Jack doesn't have a crazy amount to do right now so I have even less so once I've done all that ill take a long and comfortable nap"-Nancy

"Eh, that's it?"-Vens

"Well, don't forget we are in the early stage of the game, and our races will take a while for things to start speeding up"-Nancy

"However as the population grows and their tribes and technologies grow so will the problems we will have to face"-Nancy

"But I'm sure you and Jack can handle it, right?"-Vens

"I do hope so, or else we will be 6 feet deep or completely erased from existence. I don't know which one will get us if we fail"-Nancy

Vens and Nancy had walked on as they discussed before Vens grabbed Nancy by her nose and hung down in front of her face while floating in the air.

"Don't worry, Nancy. I believe in you. Nothing can stop us. We were the creative and cool due of the gods!"-Vens

"Thank you, but I'm not a god remember"-Nancy

"That's just semantics. I see you as one of us. You are beside you made an entire race and live in a space you can manipulate at your will"-Vens

"I'm sure it's something in between, but anyway, it's time to let go of my nose and start walling on those things called legs"-Nancy

So, with a reluctant grunt, Nancy and Vens went on a small trip through the god's rooms or realms, depending on your position, and had a quick chat with them. Nancy was first intimidated by Nyx but made sure not to show it, which earned his respect, which was helped by the fact he was a perfect gentleman.

It did seem, however, that Vens and Vans liked to play pranks on him, so they were eventually chased out and moved onto Renkas space. Like Minervas, her space changed and was different for each person, and Nancy it was a soft and round world of oval balls that had colours of pink and purple and cyan.

The ground was mighty bouncy and soft, and the light was bright but soft to not blind someone as the walls changed colours and shifted like water. Renka was lying down and poking at the small clear bubbles that dotted the floor and ceiling, and once they met, they talked for a long time.

They discussed many things, but Nancy had a good time, and so did Vens, who loved playing with Renka, who was like an older sister to her. Renka also confided in Nancy about the feelings she had for her children, whom she missed dearly.

After they left Renkas realm, they went to Themis space, which was a black and white space with grey lines, cutting up the two colors like a cutting board. On the black side, iron chains jut out of the grown and connected to the ceiling or floating in the air while stone statues of animals changing and dying or being shattered.

On the white side were clocks of different styles and materials, with some ticking at blinding speed while others were stuck in time as crimson trees expanded and fought with each other in between the clocks.

Themis was the most distant of all the gods, and it was shown in every way from his demeanour to how he kept a long space between himself and his guests.

But they still had a quick, if awkward chat, which gave Nacys the chance to understand some key things she didn't know before.

For once, Vens didn't exactly exist and seemed to want to leave the realm even if she was still nice to Themis.

And then we had Minerva whose halls of scrolls and books endlessly expanded and contracted as this time her realm seemed to be alive as all her knowledge whispered or shouted at them as they talked with Minerva.

Nancy felt that Minerva was almost like Jack's more free-spirited secretary who made sure everything was organized and running, which she could appreciate. When talking to her, it was like having a conversation with 3 different people while being watched by an entire audience who was sitting in.

In the end, however, Minerva was always cordial and made sure that Nancy left more informed than when she came while Vens chased after the books.

They then went to the world and looked at the development of the races while talking to Vans, fitting two into one so that she could nap quicker after the exhausting task of talking to 4 different gods.

Vans seemed like the more serious of the two but always had a glint in his eye and would always be looking and tapping his finger on something. Nancy quite liked the twins and was happy with how the rixis and Blues had developed, and so she went to Jack's space.

As for the said person in question, Jack was currently playing ping pong as he waited for something to happen in the world and he had to end his new winning streak to talk to Nancy who was staring at the horse she hitched her wagon to.

"Look, I know this looks weird, but I get bored waiting, and I thought with the free time and get better at something"-Jack.

"Mmhm okay, enough games, let's talk strategy and how we're going to win this game"-Nancy.

"Yes mam"-Jack
