Almost through the blizzard

Almost through the blizzard

It was the next day and the fire died out and the rixis came out of the igloo and kept watching to see if the rat was still nearby.

"Last...One!"-Leader rixis

The group nodded as they trudged through the snow their feet sinking into the frosted ground of the ever-roaring blizzard.

They checked over their gear and took what was left from the igloo it wasn't much but when you're in a blizzard you'll take what you can get.

During the first 5 minutes of walking, they were all on edge and kept watch to see if any monsters would try anything. And the world gave these hunters the chance to hunt as a strange group of 5 creatures glared at the rixis.

Once the two sides spotted each other they both got themselves ready and kept an eye on the other side to see who would strike first.

The creatures were small ravenous beasts that had crimson skin and razor-sharp jaws with each of them having strange and unique differences about them.

It was obvious that these creatures didn't have much restraint as they quickly let loose and bolted toward the Jackrixis.

The rixis prepared once more as they rose their spears in front of their bodies and roared at the hellish hounds.

This time however instead of standing waiting to take the first hit they charged at the enemy and threw their spears at them with 2 managing to hit their target.

Considering they were in a blizzard and couldn't see or moved as much as they usually good it was a good result as to why they did this.

It would be easier for them to fight creatures like these with their claws as the enemy would just break the spear with its jaws or it would be knocked out of their hands.

The other spear sunk into the snow half of the spear disappearing which made the rixis realize how much snow there was.

The hounds rushed towards the rixis as their shoulders and muscles stretched using as much force as possible to get to their prey as saliva dripped from their open mouths.

The two groups clashed as the rixis ripped their claws into the red flesh while the sharp claws clamped down onto the arms or legs of the rixis.

The leader managed to kick the hound in its chin causing it to be thrown back and slam into the snow as it quickly shook itself and got back to attacking the leader.

The fight was rough and wild as the rixis beat and clawed at the animals and one female rixis even broke a hound's spine on her knee.

She regretted it thought even if it looked cool as she roared over the paralyzed corpse of her prey and the wind and snow swam around her.

But her leg hurt badly so you win some you lose some and she quickly went to get her spear while her brothers and sisters finished their fights.

The fight ended after a few minutes and the rixis took back their spears and helped bandage each other's wounds and congratulate each other for a good fight.

They then went back on track and after coming across a wild silver-looking squirrel who surprisingly didn't attack them but just merely watched from afar which was very strange and eerie.

They finally reached the last igloo and quickly went inside and slumped down after the journey getting here and it wasn't even over.

Just because the cold wouldn't kill them as easily as other species it still wasn't nice being in a blizzard trying to fight off wild beasts.

The frost swirled through the air as they breathed heavily after getting inside and starting another fire which quickly helped them to recover.

"Think...Gods are happy...With us?"-Rixis

One of the male rixis was looking at the others as they pondered his question and tried thinking about the question.

"We..come...this..far"-Rixis 1

"Still... fighting..strong"-Rixis 2

"Gods.. love..use"-Rixis 3

"We.. have..done...well..but still...some..left...to do"-Rixis leader

The others kept quiet not having an answer or just not wanting to answer the question as they all started at the flames of the fire.

For these primitive Jackrixis, the flames were the most mesmerizing thing they'd ever seen, and gazed at the flickering wisps of the flame.

They stayed the night only having a bit of a scare when something bumped into the wall of the igloo but lucky it didn't want to fight so they slowly relaxed and went back to normal.

The dawn soon rose and the roars and cries of beasts started up again the rixis took all the resources in the igloo and then left it behind.

They didn't know now what was in store but they could only hope it was something that could help their gods and race be in a better position for the future.

After half a day they quickly realized that the wind had increased in speed and velocity and there was now more ice than snow which was incredibly dangerous.

They decided to stay low to decrease their chances of being hit and just hoped they weren't far from the center of the blizzard.

In a way, you could say it wasn't just a blizzard but had a mix of a tornado as well but that's just semantics.

"Wooh yes the 5th igloo get in!"-Jack

"Indeed Jack I just hope they make it back safe and sound"-Minerva

"That's very nice of you Minerva"-Jack

"What do you think because I'm the rixis god of knowledge I'm just a heartless being who doesn't care about my race?"-Minerva

"What no I'm sorry that's not what I meant at all!"-Jack

Jack got slightly nervous and uncomfortable as they stared at each other before a giant smirk grew on Minerva's face which jack didn't think was possible.

"Ha! ha! I'm just kidding jack down worry so much I'm only messing with you"-Minerva

"Oh thank god sorry it's just you always seem kinda the serious type and I don't want a pissed-off goddess working for me"-Jack

"Jack do you really think us gods can have our personalities simplified and watered down to just one aspect of the multitude of our fragmented and layered being?"-Minerva

"Um...No?"-Jack

"Don't worry jack it's just that you're still thinking like a mortal which has its benefits but also drawbacks let's just hope the more sensitive gods don't cause too much of a fuss"-Minerva

"Would they really"-Jack

"Jack we are walking paradoxes and black holes who endlessly create big bangs and mico universes every second we exist while simultaneously not existing"-Minerva

"...Are you trying to fry my brain?"-Jack

"Maybe but the gist of what I'm saying is gods are wild cards so watch out"-Minerva

"Was anything you just said true? "-Jack

"I don't know do you think it's true?"-Minerva

"...I'm going to go get a hug from Renka you big meanie! "-Jack
