One important part of having over 80 years go by so quickly is that people die and their children hold their memories alive.
Temdrek and the elderly Naya far seer are dead along with Heliosad and his father Zevad and mother Helopa. Heliosad, after the 2nd major wave, became the first truly famous Jackrixis with many rumours and myths that were spoken while he was dead and alive.
He and his team explored the lands for 2 more years before settling down and creating a tribe of their own. Which was
near the lands of the Mountain Slammers and Blooded Hydra clans.
This was chosen carefully as both clans had the resources Heliosad needed for his many building ideas and experiments. He successfully made clay pots that helped with storage of both water and food. This didn't seem like a revolutionary idea, but it improved the lives of many as they could go on a longer journey with less risk of not having enough food and especially water.
He also accidentally made the first piece of crude and brittle glass that was black and towards the end of his life. Managed to bring some colour to them with some lapis blue shine to them. He did more than just work. He had a wife, Vientrox, with whom he had 2 kids, one boy and one girl. They tried for more, but for whatever reason, they couldn't, and 2 was their limit.
Many of Heliosad's team noticed he was weird in the way that he held no care for the life of things that weren't Jackrixis or Blues. Such as his son sneaking towards him one day only to find him kneeling in the grass, slowly ripping off a lizards limbs.
He asked his father what he was doing and only received a blank, almost weighted stare before a switch flipped, and he was back to smiling and laughing while throwing away the mutilated corpse of his plaything he leaves behind. Heliosad would pick his son up and take him away, and what his child wouldn't see past the tall grass was the 5 other animal corpses nearby.
But what Heliosad did best was construction when it comes to housing, and he perfected the methods of using mud bricks and leaving them out on a sunny day, which would harden them over 5 days. They used these for all their homes and the wells they built along with a basic wall using large sticks and stones.
Stolen novel; please report.
All of these inventions were sold to many tribes and clans all over the lands, bringing an abundance of wealth to the tribe which soon gained the name of the golden tribe. This was after their new wealth and the leader's enchanting eyes that pierced the darkest of nights.
Negotiations were not a problem with Heliosad in charge, with only the blues being able to keep up with him. But not many tribes utilised the blues in such a way that many got unfair deals for their mistake.
This all happened over a 6 year period, and during that time, his mother and father passed with him attending the burial. His wife would note to her tribemates that he did seem sad, but only as if it was an annoyance to him that they had to go so early. As Heliosad got older, he also started to speak less and watch more. The only time he would smile is with his kids or wife, but many couldn't tell if it was fake or genuine.
A sad fact is that at a bare minimum, he got 20 extra years to live naturally, so his friends and wife soon passed. While his children became adults, and many were surprised he was still alive, even if you have a long life span, it doesn't mean you'll get to use it all.
After making sure his children were in charge of the tribe he wondered off in the middle of the night and was never seen again. Many said he died alone in one of the rixis lands, while others said he went after the dark groups and died a glorious death.
But only the goddess of knowledge knew of the limp rotting corpse hanging from a large tree deep in the wild woods who wished to find his wife in the next life.
Heliosad was the 3rd legend of the Jackrixis with the 1st being Cracked claw and the 2nd being Naya far seer. She had also passed, and her new young friend Temdrek cried for her passing and the loss of such a wise woman.
An interesting thing about Naya that was only figured out in the future was that she was a mage who didn't unlock her powers. She had the element of time, and her affinity was high enough that it bleed through and gave her multiple sporadic and varying visons. She was the perfect example of being a prodigy that was held back by their time. She was a warrior and strategist, not a scholar and magic, and mages she only heard about towards the end of her life.
Temdrek, after her passing, made it his mission to spread her teachings and warn those of the dark groups that linger. He also made sure to give sanctuary and aid to those fledgling mages who hadn't gotten their powers in control yet.
Mages existed before Gendrul, but you could compare them to a high-school art student and someone with a degree in the arts. Both are on the same path, but one is far ahead and much more refined and in tune with what they are.
Sadly, Temdrek is mortal, and he passed surrounded by his students and followers who would spread their teachings. But he would have his name whispered alongside the shouts Naya received in the future.
Once these guys passed, new legends would come to take their place and create their own tales and tribes. Now, with magic and bronze weapons appearing, things would get much more dangerous.
