Synopsis

In the year 1499 England was split into four kingdoms, now known as the North, South, East, and West. The split occurred when Silas Mortimer and his three brothers conquered England during a catastrophic civil war. The war erupted over the legitimacy of the rulers presiding over the throne. Backed by England’s support, the four took the castle by storm to restore peace following the previous king’s tyrannical lead. They overthrew the royal family, and since each brother claimed to be the victor of the great war, they decided splitting the country would be the best way to make things fair. When this split occurred, a new set of laws was constituted for each of the kingdoms to abide by. The book in which these universal laws were created, named The God Sent Rights. The new laws not only served as an insurance to limit another great war, but also held a special set of changes that would impact the entirety of England, and the future families to reside within its walls. One of the two great laws introduced was The Common Weapon Law, which stated that, should another civil was erupt, kingdoms could not fight with modern day weapons. Swords, combatives, bows and arrows, and magic were the only allowed forms of weaponry. This was meant to make the idea of another war highly ridiculous, yet children across England were still trained to fight with these weapons should something like this ever happen. The biggest change introduced was law twenty-two; The Five Cavalries. The law stated that every ten years, the rulers of each country would nominate five eighteen-year-old men or women to become The Five Cavalries. These five would be the most elite soldiers in all of England and respected as such by each country. They would be the ruler's personal protection, as well as the first in line when it came to battle. No one soldier should have the same skillsets; each would be specially trained individuals who were born and bred for combat. In the event that another civil war should break loose, these Cavalry would become the commanding leaders that would lead their kingdoms into a victorious tomorrow. Becoming a Cavalry became a fashion statement, that is, until 1989. On the morning of April 22nd, the rulers of the West Kingdom’s oldest son, Alexei Mortimer, and his Military Commander Joshua Eckles, declared war on the other three kingdoms. The shock of a civil war rocked the bones of the entirety of England, and no one thought he was serious until the first attack he initiated on the East. The West bombed and invaded the entire coast of the East, leaving nothing but devastation in their path. Three hundred soldiers and around a hundred civilians were killed or injured during the battle. The attack scared everyone to the point of insanity and pathed the way for many more between kingdoms. It has been ten years since then, and this June, a new set of Cavalries were to be chosen. The rulers of the three mutual kingdoms were truly looking for the best soldiers in England to help end this war. And they may have just stumbled upon them.
