Chapter Forty Seven - Forced Alliances
It was midnight when the king walked out of his manor. He took the back door. He was wearing a cloak covering his head. He walked to the castle gates and got onto a large black horse. He rode towards the woods.
He arrived at a small clearing in the forest. He met with one of the ice mages there. The Ice mage opened a portal and the king and the mage stepped inside.
The king had appeared at the edge of Batuuk’s camp. Everyone inside was sleeping, or distracted by the fires. The king had come through the portal right next to Batuuk’s hut.
He gently walked to the bandit king’s room. The king saw Batuuk sleeping alone under some furs. He pulled out his ornate, golden sword and aimed the blade at Batuuk’s neck.
“Orc!” The King shouted.

Batuuk opened his eyes. The king allowed Batuuk to sit up.
“I should have seen that coming.” Batuuk said, laughing.
“Bring your armies to my gates. But do it as my ally. I dont have time for this fucking shit. I was face to face with a dragon the size of a mountain. Arcadia has bigger problems than a stupid fucking Orc! Either you fight beside me, or I will have you assassinated tomorrow.” The king snarled. He spat on Batuuks floor. The ice wizard walked into the room holding his axe. The king lowered his sword and walked over to Batuuk’s table. He picked up an apple and the ice mage opened a portal to the castle of flowers. The king took a bite of the apple and smiled menacingly at Batuuk, then he stepped through the portal. The ice mage followed.
Batuuk clutched his intact throat and stared at the wall where the portal had just been. He clenched his fists in rage and threw a dagger from under his pillow right where the portal was. He got out of bed and flipped his table. All of his food fell to the floor. He walked out of his tent to wake up his troops.
