Black sat lazily in his house as it floated across the seemingly endless desert.
He’d been floating like this for three days now.
Black could tell it was three days now because of his concept of time infused within his concept tree.
Black also ate more information during the period and learned some interesting things. One of these things was that he was partly wrong about his previous assessment of the information he got from his “drones” while he thought he had a substantial amount of information to eat.
He was only partly correct in his assessment, while the amount of information he had was indeed immense. It was not in quantity but quality; it was so profound that if he ate too much, he might just go mad, so he locked it away with instructions to only unlock it when he could handle it and fully grasp its meaning.
Black was already considered a rank 1, even though he didn’t fully grasp the concepts that made him and his soul.
He also learned that his soul was grey instead of the usual white. All souls were supposed to be white.
All boons the system had failed to take back had fused with him while he was being reborn from darkness and created an anomalous grey soul. This pleased him.
He and he alone would have such a soul. Black didn’t know what such a soul could do yet, but he was sure he would be capable of grand things once he had enough time and information about the world he was in.

Black also wanted a secure base to analyze and experiment with his powers thoroughly. While he loved his flying house, Black was sure he could do more than that, plus it wasn’t what he’d call a secure base. It was just something he made in a hurry.
His paranoia wouldn’t let him stay there a second longer. Black knew what happened to Mcs or side characters who took too long to get their shit together and he didn’t plan to end up like them.
He could do all anything he wanted after he made sure a boss-level monster wasn’t going to just simultaneously appear and try to kill him. His past self was already unlucky.
He could only assume that he was even more unlucky now Black would not risk it. Nothing had happened so far, but he knew it was only a matter of time before someone came looking, considering the power system in this world was so ridiculously powerful and flexible.
Someone had to have noticed or even predicted his arrival. He knew they would find him eventually, but by then he’d be ready, or at least prepared. Black wasn’t planning to stay low-key.
It was the safest method, but he needed power and information, and he needed it fast. He knew he was on the edge of the primary continent, so he’d have some time until who or whatever was coming for him came.
Black’s floating house continued on its path like this for 3 more days. He used this time to test some and analyze some things his body was capable of.
He found out that he could stretch and expand almost indefinitely. Black could also infuse concepts and ideas into his darkness and they would also get infused into his concept tree.
He could immediately turn ideas into a concept regardless of if he understood it or not if he paid enough mana, but he only had a pitiful amount of mana and it was from the single void lizard he killed.
People of this world could not use mana directly, but he was going to find a way. Black’s form shook with excitement as he saw a small town in the distance.
“It’s finally time to set my plans into motion. "
