Chapter 13
"I just need to know where the closest town to here is." I hope these people can tell me a direction, or tell me how long to follow the road. If it's over five days, I'll just stay here.
"The nearest town is about sixty miles that way," Says on the people, pointing south. "There is no trail, but if you follow the stream down you should hit the town eventually."
Sixty miles would take me quite a while to travel. It would take me 15 hours or so if I traveled constantly and didn't take any breaks. I don't have to sleep or eat, so this is entirely possible!
"Thank you," I say to the people, and I lower my bow. "Papa bless."
"What?" One of them asked me.
"It's nothing, have a safe trip." With that, I go back to my area of the forest.
I decide to visit the town tomorrow after I tan some of the rabbits and the wolf and the bear. They will probably be worth something cool, which is nice. The clothes I have on now are bloody and a little torn, so I could make new ones too.
Back at the tree, I take out my tanner's rack and the supplies to tan with. I don't know much about tanning, but I somehow do. All thanks to the tanning skill, I can cut the hide off a hare and turn it into some nice leather. I've also got some meat, and I can make that into something to eat. I don't really have the skills to cook it, so I don't die from some disease, so I'll just keep it in my inventory for now.
Six hares, a wolf, and a bear later, I have the pelts from the bear and wolf and the hares. I hold off on turning them into leather so I can see what will sell for more. I also have meat from the wolfs, the hares, and the bear, but I hear meat from a wolf taste bad, so I decide to use that for making traps, along with the hare meat in other traps. If I can get more bears, that would be awesome. I get a lot of fat from the bear, and I save all that in my inventory. I think I can make torches with fat. If I can't, I can sell it.

When night comes, I climb back into my tree and lay down in my hammock. I really want to have a nice house built, but I need things like nails and wood to build it with. A hammer, a door, a real bed. I hope I can buy them at the nearby town, but I guess I'll find out tomorrow.
In the morning of the seventeenth, I choose to first collect from my traps. Five hares, three wolves, and two bears. Nice haul, but I will have to tan them on a later date. I check my inventory one last time, and head back to the stream. I don't set the traps because I won't be back for a day or two. I don't want anything hung up in a trap for days while I'm away.

Really nice amounts of stuff, I hope it sells well. I reach the stream in a few minutes of walking, and I have my bow out. It is early in the morning, and I left that meat in the traps all night, so I might find something lurking about.
About an hour into my trip, I see a pair of wolves. Either my bow is really strong, or I am really strong, because I killed the wolves with two arrows, each one going through the wolf and into the wilderness, never to be seen again. Well, two more dead wolves for me.
Two more hours later, I see another three wolves. I start to think there might be a wolf dungeon around here somewhere, but the three arrows I shoot go right through the skulls of the three wolves, not bothering me at all. Five arrows down and five additional wolves added to the inventory.
