Typer’s room: Hello guys. Sorry for the delay, but here is the chapter!
As promised, double release! Today with some surprise Plot going on! Hooray! Well, this is mostly setting up for future plot, so it’s not like anything will happen anytime soon. I also wanted to make the retard feel like those classic LN MCs, being a good-for-nothing muscle head.
Still, not sure how Lia will relate to the guy, but I don’t plan on any real romantic relationship between the two.
As I said before, this is VASTLY a work in progress, and wasn’t made to be posted initially, so there might be some inconsistencies. If so, please do tell me, as I want to make it an enjoyable read ^^
May your reading be enjoyable.

The boy and me stood in a slightly awkward mood as we awaited our respective masters to finish their talk. We awaited on the outside of the room, and having nothing better to do, we simply stood besides the door, each one on one side.
I couldn’t help but notice that he would take a peek at me every few seconds, and when I looked at him inquisitively, he would immediately turn away with a slightly embarrassed face. This happened quite a few times, and after finally getting bored out of his mind, he started whistling a music to calm himself.
However…
“I like that music.” I told him with polite smile. He almost choked when I spoke to him, and before I could go on, he turned to me with his finger pointing straight at me.
“Look, I’m not into little girls, so stop right there!” He said in a mix of anger and embarrassment.
Well, let’s just say that the one who got angry this time was myself. Feeling a vein popping up in my forehead at this little overconfident twerp, I approached him with a smile that didn’t quite reach my eyes.
He took a step back afraid, before something suddenly dawned on him, so he took a step forward and stuffed his chest out proudly, as if he was making himself brave.
“Listen to the others before making assumptions!” I said angrily while bringing my fist to his head. However, he managed to grab my arm just in time, stopping the hit.
“Hah! Don’t think you can land a hit on Ore-saguaaah!”
I snorted proudly as my fist easily connected to his head, even with him managing to hold my hand I easily overpowered him. As I said, stronger than kids my age. Crouching while clutching his head in pain, he started to whimper in pain as I cleaned my fist on the hem of my clothes.
Still, Oresaguaah? That expression is fairly familiar… I wonder where I heard it before.
No matter, there is something else I have to do before that. Grabbing the brat by the neck, I quickly put him back up so that he would stand on my eye-level. Smiling at him just to make sure that he wouldn’t say anything like what he said previously, I cleared my throat and said.
“Let’s try that again. I like that music.” I told him, seeing as he simply stared at me in confusion, I made a motion with my head for him to go on.
“H… Huh… Yeah...” He said hesitatingly.
“See, it wasn’t so difficult.” I said with a cheerful smile. “Now, mind telling me where you learned it?” I asked him, and this made him freeze for a moment as he considered his words.
“From… From a place very, very far away.” He said with a worried tone.
“How far away?” I asked him, and he blinked surprised.
“Very. Very far.” He kept his answer cryptic, but for all he tried, this only served to make me even more certain.
“Like, the other side of the ocean?” I tilted my head, but he shook his.
“No… A bit… Farther away.” He said with a worried tone.
“How far are we talking about?” I asked once again with a smile.
“Well...” he stared at me for a moment before putting on a smug expression and shrugging. “You wouldn’t believe me even if I tol...”
“Another world?” I interrupted him, leaving him shocked for a few seconds as I looked at him.
After that, he suddenly leaped backwards, opening a fair distance between the two of us and putting on a fighting pose… Which even for my untrained eyes looked extremely amateurish. Raising my eyebrow confused at him, I saw as he put on an overly serious face and prepared to receive an attack from me.
I let a few seconds pass in silence to see what he was going to do, but seeing that he only got tenser and tenser, I finally sighed and gave in.
“What are you do...”
“DON’T TRY TO FOOL ME WITH YOUR SWEET TALK! I KNOW YOU WANT TO KILL ME!” He said in a loud and convinced tone. I simply sighed tiredly while noticing that our talk probably wouldn’t go anywhere.
“And why exactly would I do that?” I asked him. He blinked surprised before taking the pose once again.
“Because that’s how all reincarnation stories go!” He said in a decided tone. “Any stranger who knows about me, either will want to become my girlfriend, or kill me! And you left clear it’s not the first, you violent girl!”
Deep breathing Lia. Let’s not let the retarded twerp spend out your patience. While thinking so, I concentrated a bit on one of the breathing exercises Roshi taught me and quickly calmed down. Looking back at the boy, Yulan, I saw that his arms and legs started trembling as he stayed in the same position for too long, still waiting for an attack of mine.
“You idiot.” I said with a sigh.
“Huh?” He made a silly sound.
“Look, all I wanted is some information. If you at least took your time to listen to people...” I said while shaking my head. Afterwards, I turned my eyes to him, completely throwing away my whole little-girl act for good. “Let me guess, you are a reincarnated person, right?”
“H-How do you know?” He asked me surprised.
“Because that music is familiar to me, even though I never heard it in this life.” I said briefly. He stared at me shocked for some moment, before finally tilting his head confused.
“Then, how do you know about it?”
Okay, now it’s definitive. He’s an idiot. A downright and undoubtedly idiot. Staring at him with pity for some time, I saw as he felt uncomfortable under my gaze as a vein popped up in his forehead.
“Maybe, it’s because I heard it in my previous life?” I said with a sigh. He tilted his head in confusion for some time before widening his eyes and hitting his palm with his other hand.
“Then… You peeked into my memori-guaaah!”
Yeah, I slammed his head once again. Seriously, there should be a limit to how idiotic a person can be. Besides, it’s good to stop trying to pretend to be somewhat innocent.
But, now that I think about it… I haven’t been doing a very good job at keeping my innocent girl mask recently… I might need to work on that a bit more.
Mulling over this to myself for some time, I finally decided to leave it for later and quickly pulled Yulan back up. He stared me with a mix of annoyance and fear, but his gaze didn’t really make me all that annoyed, to tell the truth.
I wonder if his master also have this urge to keep hitting his head… He did do that when we left the carriage.
“What I mean is that I also have my memories from my last life.” I said with a sigh.
He blinked surprised and soon his eyes changed into a pair of shining stars as he grabbed my hands in excitement.
“So you are also a fellow reincarnated person who will help me on my path of becoming a hero? But you can’t do that because you’ve been enslaved by this family, so you need my help to be freed? I see, I see. Then leave everything to Ore-sama who will save you from this situ-guah!”
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
“Will you keep your mouth shut for at least one second?” I asked a bit worriedly. “And why were you so excited with the idea of me being enslaved. You are giving me the creeps, you know?”
“Then… You aren’t enslaved?” He asked me, still crouching.
“Nope.”
“Nor do you need my help?”
“Why would I?”
“At least you will help me in becoming a hero, right?”
“No reason to.”
After replying to all his questions, he suddenly became sullen and crouched down into a corner, where he started to doodle something with his fingers on the ground, murmuring words I didn’t quite get.
“Anyway, I would at least want to get some information.” I said while lightly kicking his bottom, which made him get up with a yelp.
“You violent girl! Be a bit gentler will ya!” he complained to me. I simply stared at him and said.
“Be glad I’m not doing it through the middle.” I said bluntly.
He paled as he unconsciously twisted his legs inwardly and used his hand to protect the inner part of his legs. Smiling victoriously to him, I finally decided to get straight to the point.
“That music. Where is it from.” I asked him, and he blinked before stopping to think for a moment.
“It was from a western band...” He said with some thought. “Can’t quite remember the name, though. Why do you want to know? Don’t you remember the music yourself?” He asked curious.
I couldn’t help but give a wry smile to him as a response before shaking my head heavily.
“Actually, no. For some reason a good part of my memories from my last life are missing. I only remembered the music when I heard you whistling earlier.” I confessed to him before looking at him. “Are you the same as me, then?”
“Nooo…?” He said with a slightly confused tone. “Huh… I mean… I have all my memories in here.” He said seriously for the first time, I nodded a bit weakly. I kind of had that feeling while watching his reactions. “Huuh… Does this means that you aren’t part of the trial?” He asked confused.
“Trial?” Now it was my time to get confused. “What are you talking about?”
“Well...” He said scratching his head in an awkward manner as he chose his words. “There was this strange guy who came to a bunch of us and said: Something something, win and get your wish!”
Waah… Did he just skip something important there? While staring at him and thinking so, he went on with his story.
“Then he said that we all would have to compete once we became old enough, and the winner get his wish realized.” He said while crossing his arms and nodding, after a moment he widened his eyes and gave a smile. “By the way, my wish is for me to have tons of girlfriends!”
Great, I met a pervert. An idiot and a pervert at the same time . WONDERFUL!
Shaking my head heavily with this huge (and useless) find I got, I noticed something in his words that kind of caught my attention.
“Hey, you said ‘us’, does this mean that there were others there?” I asked him curious, and he blinked surprised for a moment before nodding.
“Yeah. There were around thirty or so other people there, we all saw each other when the strange man was talking.” He told me with a thinking pose.
“Then, maybe I also spoke with that man?” I murmured, more to myself than anyone.
“Nah. I wouldn’t have missed a girl as cute as you if you were there.” He said with a smug tone.
I felt as my smile cracked.
“Well...” I looked away while trying to find my words, after some time I gave up and simply went with the truth. “I’m almost sure I was a man in my previous life...”
He stared at me in shock for a moment, before a smirk started to appear on his face. It didn’t take much longer for him to start laughing at me.
…
“What is happening here?” Ping asked as I approached her.
“WAAAH! SAVE ME, MISS AIDE! THAT GIRL WANT TO KILL ME!” Yulan shouted in fear as he hid himself behind her legs.
“Miss Ping. He said some very rude things to me!” I said while looking at her with upturned eyes. Ping flinched for a moment before stepping aside.
“I don’t know what you did, but it’s wrong to make a girl sad like that, young boy.” Ping said in a stern tone towards Yulan. He widened his eyes in shock before turning to me scared, now his innocence cover was no more.
He turned his back to run again, but I quickly approached him and grabbed him by the neck, and with a swift movement, threw him in the ground face-first and bottoms up. Smiling satisfied, I quickly crouched down besides him as I took off my sandals.
“NOOO! NO MORE!!! MY BUTT STILL HURTS!” He shouted in pain as I started to spank him with a sandal like you would do with a bad kid… Which wasn’t all that different from what I was doing, actually.
I did get the glimpse of Ping watching us with conflicting feelings. Probably because she felt like I shouldn’t be doing something so violent, yet I shouldn’t leave someone who said rude things to me free.
However, before she change her mind, I had already finished my job, so I quickly shoved Yulan away and let out a satisfied ‘hmph’. But it would probably be better to change my sandals just to be sure. What if his stupidity is contagious?
While thinking so to myself, I quickly took out my other sandal and started to make way to my room. With some luck, I should be able to reach Master Roshi’s room before he gets out from his talk. While thinking so I quickly exchanged my sandals and put my old ones to wash.
A brief moment focusing and I found out that Roshi and his companion were still in the same room as before, with Yulan standing guard outside once again.
The moment I got close to him, he flinched and covered his rear with fear in his eyes. I simply gave him a death stare for a moment before taking my own position on the opposite side of the door.
“Oh yeah.” I said after thinking for a moment. “It seems that your spirit sensing is also strong, did the weird guy explain about it before reincarnating us… you?” I asked him, and he blinked before stopping to think for a moment.
“I… Think so.” He said with some thought. “Something like… Since we never felt something like it, we might be more sensible… Or something like that.”
So, we are more sensitive to this weird sense due to the fact that we already have experienced our lives without ever feeling it? A bit weird, but I guess it does makes some sense.
As I thought that, both Yulan and I felt as the masters inside raised from their seats and came to the door. Immediately going back to our original guarding faces.
“Lia, good news, but after some negotiations, I managed to convince this old man here to take a look at you!” Roshi said cheerfully while coming out.
“It’s a hard bargain you drive, you goddamned fool.” Mo Lu said.
They came talking as if nothing had happened, however, Yulan and I couldn’t help but notice that both of them sported black markings around their eyes.
What the hell were they negotiating in there?
