Oh... you again.
Got nothing better to do then snoop on a kid’s private life, yeah?
Or I hope so otherwise I’m talking to myself like a lunatic.
If you really are watching through my brain... it’s been like 3 hours since the festival ended so why are you expecting anything new?
In light of said festival I’ve got two days off. Results of the scouting from the pro’s will be ready when we were back in class.
I got first place I did! Couldn’t afford not to, see? Made a promise I intended on seeing through no matter what.
...
Don’t judge me for talking to myself alright?
The walk home is long and boring and, right now? Stressful.
I came up upon the orphanage, only a few seconds to prepare myself to talk with Hagino because I spent this entire time talking to myself like and idiot and- oh no I’m here.
The door opened before I could even knock, Hagino standing behind it, cautiously checking who it was.
“I- uh, got you the medal?” Why I said it like a question I do not know.
He dashed out from behind the door, catching me in a deep hug before I could react, almost crying.
“I don’t need a stupid medal.” his muffled voice siad.
Then he punched me.
Really hard.
“Don’t go getting hurt like that again, Idiot!”
Hagino slammed the door behind him, rush back up the stairs while I lay on the ground in a fetal position.
----------------------------------------
We were back in class and everyone was talking in excitement.
“I had all of these people talking to me on the way here!!” Mina said.
“Same here!” Toru commented, “So many stares… it was embarrassing!”
“Me too!” Kirishima added.
Sero looked solemn, “all these grade-schoolers told me I made a good effort.”
“Good effort” Tsuyu replied.
I was also quite popular, almost arriving late to school due to all the people wanting to get a picture with first place. Though not nearly as bad as all the kids in the orphanage that had swarmed me, trying to get at the medal before I could give it to Hagino.
“One little event, and suddenly the world’s got it’s eye on us.”
“That’s U.A. for ya…”
“Morning.” Aizawa says as he walks into class.
“Good morning!!”
“Good to see you with your bandages off, Aizawa Sensei.” Tsuyu comments.
“The old lady’s treatment was excessive.” he replied, “But never mind that. Today we’ve got Hero Informatics class. And a special one at that.”
“You’ll be coming up with your Hero Aliases.”
The entire class cheers at that.
“But first, concerning the pro draft picks I mentioned the other day…”
“It’s based on who the pros think will be ready to join the hero workforce after another two or three years of experience… so you could say that it’s a way for them to show interest in your futures. But there’s ample time for their interest to wane before you graduate. And any and all offers can be arbitrarily revoked. It happens quite often.”
“So if we are picked now, that just means there’ll be higher hurdles in the years to come!” Ida explains.

“Yes. Now, here are the complete draft pick numbers.”
“There is topically more of a spread. But our top few stole most of the spotlight.”
Todoroki and Bakugo both had more than a thousand, while almost everyone else got less than a hundred.
Well, not me. I got a good couple hundred.
Understandable considering i showed up the other two with more skill than Quirk usage, Todoroki and Bakugo both had a lot of strength and room to grow.
“Gah! They’re in a whole other league!
“These Pros have on eyes for talent.”
And other such complaints were voiced.
“Didn’t they get second and third backwards?” Kirishima asks.
“Guess they were just scared of the guy who was literally chained to the winners’ stand.” Sero adds.
“What the heck are the Pros doing getting intimidated?!” Bakugo shouts.
“With that settled, whether or not you were picked or not, you will all have a chance to work alongside the Pros.”
“It’s true that you all have already experienced more than most, but… seeing the Pros in action and taking part yourselves will still be worthwhile training.” Aizawa warns.
“That’s where our Hero names come in!”
“This is getting fun!” Ururaka laughed.
“There only tentative, but you still want to pick something appropriate…”
“Or else you’ll know true hell!!” Midnight says as she walks into the class.
“The name you pick now… may be what the world ends up calling you. That’s happened to plenty of Pros out there!!”
“Yes, true enough.”
“And midnight here will be assessing the sensibility of the names you pick.”
“I’m no good at that.”
“What future do you see for yourself? The mane you choose will bring you ever closer to cementing a certain image, because names are capable of reflecting one’s true character.” Midnight continues.
“Like with ‘All Might’.”
Name... name, I suck at names.
Usually kids have years to come up with a name with their Quirk. I’ve had almost no time thanks to all the big events happening.
Also it’s gotta be in English for some reason.
Kinda weird.
My Quirk isn’t flashy enough to warrant its own name, so something with my move style might be better but... I have, like one move, and ‘Mad Hops’ doesn’t sound to Hero-y.
I’ll probably stick with the jumps and arm launchers, so they could be good.
Jumpshot- Leapshot, Leapshot sounds pretty good. Doesn’t leave a lot for growth but whatever.
Bouncing around the arena like a rabbit and it has been the most useful trick I’ve learnt so far.
Ha, rabbit.
A rabbit obituary.
Rabituary.
“Lets finish up. We can start with whoever’s ready!”
Aoyama walked up front, and held his board up for the class to read.
“Shining Hero: ‘I Cannot Stop Twinkling’.”
Midnight chimed in, “It’ll be easier to say if you take out the ‘I’ and contract ‘Cannot’ into ‘Can’t’.”
“I see, Mademoselle!”
Mina walked up next.
“Okay, I’m next! Call me Alien Queen!!
“From the sequel?! Is it because her blood was super acidic?! That’s terrible!!”
Mina walked back to her seat, picking a new name.
After those first two, everyone feels like they have to come up with something good!
So, like... maybe Rabituary would be funny...
“Can I go next, Please?” Tsuyu asks.
“I’ve had this thought out since elementary school.”
“Call me Froppy.”
On her board, carefully written was a name and moniker.
Rainy Season Hero: Froppy
“So cute!! It makes you sound like you’d be easy to get to know!!”
“The rest of you take note. This is a perfectly lovable name!”
Eh, maybe it might work after all...?
Kirishima next:
“This is me!!”
“Red Riot!!”
Sturdy Hero: Red Riot
“Red Riot!”, Midnight mentions, “Could this be an homage to, Chivalrous Hero: Crimson Riot?!”
“Right! I know he’s from back in the day, but Crimson’s the kind of Hero I wanna be.”
“Just bearing the name of your personal Hero comes with a lot of Pressure.”
“I’m ready for that!!”
The rest of us went quickly now that the standard had been set.
Jiro: Hearing Hero: Earphone Jack
Shoji: Tentical Hero: Tenticole
Sero: Taping Hero: Cellophane
Ojiro: Martial Arts Hero: Tailman
Sato: Sweets Hero: Sugerman
Mina: Pinky
Kaminari: Stun Gun Hero: Chargebolt
Toru: Stealth Hero: Invisible Girl
“You’re all doing great. Let’s keep ‘em coming!!”
“I hope to do justice to this name”
Momo: Everything Hero: Creati
“Shoto”
Todoroki: Shoto
“Just your name?! Really?!”
“Yeah”
“Tsukuyomi”
Tokoyami: Jet-black Hero: Tsukuyomi
“God of the night!!”
“Grape Juice!!”
Mineta: Fresh-picked Hero: Grape Juice
“It pops! It’s Kitschi!!”
Koji: Petting Hero: Anima
“Yes!!”
“King Explosion Murder.”
Bakugo: King Explosion Murder
“No good. Try again”
“This is what I came up with.”
Ururaka: Uravity
“How Punny!”
“This went smoother than expected!”
“All that’s left is Bakugo’s revision, and Ida and Miwaku, and then Midoriya.”
Ida: Tenya
“You too huh? Just your name…”
Midoriya was the next to walk up.
“Huh? You sure about that, Midoriya?!”
“Yeah.”
“I always hated it.”
“But the someone… helped me see it in a new light. It took me by surprise but… it made me happy.”
“This will be my Hero name.”
Midoriya: Deku
Half of me is crying at how serious some of these names are, the othe half thought Rabituary was a good Idea.
Well... You only live once and all that.
I walked to the top of the class, my face struggling to decide whether to smirk or frown from the nerves. I had tried out a few things and made a lot of spelling changes, as was evident on my board by the numerous smudges around my name.
I gently set my whiteboard down.
“Rabbituary”
Agile Hero: Rabbituary
I could see Kaminari trying to hold back a laugh, while Tokoyami was seemingly approving of the dark undertones. Everyone else’s reactions were mixed but polite, as was standard. Some of these names were picked out when they were kids after all.
"That works!" said Midnight.
----------------------------------------
Everyone was chatting about their names... or would have been had Aizawa not called for quiet while they sorted some stuff out.
Not much else happened until the end of the class where we got our agency choices.
“Your internship’s start in a week.” Aizawa announced.
“For this all-important decision I’ll be handing out personalised lists to those who were drafted. You may choose from among those who scouted you.”
“For those of you who were not drafted, the list I just passed out contains forty agencies from all over the country willing to accept interns. You will pick one from that list.”
“Each has a different speciality and region. Give your choice some real thought.”
Submit our choices by this coming weekend.
That leaves two days to pick.
----------------------------------------
Two days passed faster than I thought.
Choosing who to intern under was also more difficult than I thought. Only a few of the hundreds of offers I received caught my attention, ranging form Gunhead’s martial arts to Endeavor’s agency of all places. Not a place I was overly interested in, unlike learning a proper martial art, which is exactly what I want.
Even just the basics that Ojiro taught me was invaluable to winning the Tournament. So while learning how the Hero stuff worked was fine, being able to beat the Villains seemed a little more useful to me.
And that should have been that.
Train at Gunhead’s for the week and be done with it.
...
Until the second day.
Where I got a call from the fast rising Rabbit Hero: Mirko. It was mostly just directions to a particular area to meet, and while her style of fighting does match what I am going for with mine...
Why the Hell is she contacting me Unofficially instead of through the school like Everyone else.
Gunhead’s my first choice.
But there’s no way I’m missing a call to action from a Hero like Mirko.
