“Is there really not going to be any incidents for the whole week?”
“On petrol, its highly unlikely. We’re more of an disincentive to any would be criminals, and anything greater would have us call in the response teams.”
It was the fourth day into the internship under Gunhead, though he only saw fit to place me on the simplest task. I was being lead around a usual route by Soundcast, a Hero under the agency who’s Quirk let him redirect sound, great for recon and stealth.
So far, the only work I’d done was walking the streets on loop without even a petty theft occurring though the fact Gunhead even allowed me to work was surprising enough.
It was definitely disappointing, especially as my classmate were no doubt getting practice on actual missions and such, but Gunhead did agree to take me on for more than just the week, should no problems arise.
“I guess I’m just expecting the worst... with all the attacks and everything over this last half year.” I replied as Soundcast sent in a report to the agency as we made our way back.
“You class has really had it rough for first years, but those things are the exception, most of Hero work is quite boring unless you within the top 40 or so on the rankings.” he explained, “We’ll be taking an hour when we get there to freshen up and get in costume. A fresh costume once a week is standard unless it’s heavy on the mechanical side of things, just to keep anything important from failing when it is needed.”
“A spare should have been sent in from UA for the week, but the agency can contact the company designing it for the rest of your time here.”
As we made it to the agency, I felt my phone buzz with a notification. Aizawa sensei had posted a message in the classes group chat.
‘All students are to return to the dorms as soon as possible,
Take all belonging with you, all class internships have been called off,
more details will be explained at UA.’
“haah... these thing are the exception, right? They just recalled all of 1A for some reason, and I have a feeling Midoriya is involved again.” I complained. “Lets hope it’s nothing too big”
“Oh, well I’ll clock in and see about getting another partner for now... the agency should contact you about any changes.”
After saying my goodbye’s, I started the journey back to UA.
If they were recalling everyone in the class, then there must have been something to announce, or some risk to either security or us students... I’m guessing it’s one of the latter as something similar happened when the hero killer Stain got Ida, Midoriya, and Todoroki. There was nothing big on the news so it must be something hidden, something UA has insider knowledge on.

While I’d bet Midoriya is a part of it, nobody would take me up on it. He seems to be some sort of trouble magnet that makes me feel like I’m some background character in his story... That and I can’t help but get annoyed that we’re both going for the rabbit Hero idea, and that he seems to be doing it better with his strength based movement like Mirko along with simply being stronger, faster, smarter in most all areas.
Maybe I’m just getting frustrated with my own lack of progress theses last few weeks, Midoriya’s a great dude, and if anything, he’d probably try help me out if I asked.
Thought that just makes it all the more frustrating.

There was still nothing on the news as I reached the front gates of UA. After quickly changing into some more casual clothes, I made my way to the common room where most of the class were already down on the couches chatting, Sato handing out snacks and drinks as usual and the general chatter seemed focused on figuring out why we were recalled.
Someone had the bright Idea to turn on the local news and before I could sit down, there was breaking news.
“We’re switching now to a Live broadcast. Our sources say there was a large raid on a local supposed Yakuza group with the aid of both police and Heroes, word only got out recently so further information should be supplied as the reporters make their way over.”
Everyone grouped around the tv, listening intensely even if there was no identifiable relation to our hasty return. We could only guess that students and Sensei’s had taken part in the raid.
It wasn’t lost on anyone that Midoriya was one of the few of 1A not to have shown up yet.
“-still making our way over to the reported site, we will supply an aerial view of the premises from this very news helicopter.
As the reporter on the ground have shown, many of the perpetrating group have been apprehended with minimal injuries of both police and Heroes in an joint venture that- Hey! Camera down now! Is that-?
Yes, a hole has opened up a ways away in the streets!! See if you can zoom in on it- the immediate area, of course, had been quickly evacuated in case thing got out of control as the heads of this Yakuza supposedly have powerful Quirks at their disposal.”
There was a flash of bluish green light for the hole before a monstrous form exploded from the hole, widening it at the cost of the nearby houses. The flashing light followed after the creature as it started to reform in the air.
“-Back, GET BACK QUICK!!
Our camera is picking up a Hero fighting the great beast that just flew out of the ground! We would love to get a closer look of you viewers but the airspace is under compromise, what we can tell is what we can only assume to be the Head of the Yakuza is being pushed back by our courageous Heroes, though at the moment it is difficult to figure out exactly WHO is fighting him-”
The scene switched to a news room and two anchors looking professional, “This just in, it is being requested of us to halt reporting of the ongoing fight due to the sensitive nature of the raid, we can however get a better view of some of the emerging Heroes.” The screen switched to the front of the Yakuza’s base.
“The pro Heroes seem mostly fine, apart from one Fat Gum who has sustained light injuries and shed most of his Quirks fat, and Rocklock who received a stab wound.
Though, more surprisingly, with them are two Students of UA, with one Eijiro Kirishima being treated for multiple lacerations and blunt trauma, their exact conditions will remain unknown for now as there are many laws regarding recording heroes in training.”
The news continued for a while after the fight concluded, and to us it was quite obvious that it was Midoriya who took the huge Villain out. Apart from Kirishima, the other 5 got out mostly unharmed. Ururaka and the big 3 were the other students taking part, and there was some commotion when the got back as everyone wanted to know what had happened.
