The outlands welcomed me with it vibrant colours as my carrier went through the gate. I looked through the window to see the outside world for the first time. What greeted me was the an explosion of colours.

There were giant plants everywhere, many different type and colour of trees towered above me. Multi-coloured ferns and bushes that were taller than our carrier littled the ground underneath the gigantic trees. Between the fauna, there was a large dirt road which our carrier traveled on.

The scenery was surprisingly breathtaking. When i first looked out the window, i had expected a desert wasteland filled with roaming beasts but what greeted me was a colourful,oversized and lush forest.

Surrounding the roads were blue grass, unlike the blue grass that well small , the blue grass outside here were four times bigger than usual. Travelling through the forest, i felt like i was just a bug. Everything that were around me were enormous and made me felt tiny. If not for the presences of my guards and carrier,i would have believed that i had shrunk.

The sun soon set and night came.The carrier stopped to camp out for the night. I got out to admire the amazing world. As soon as i got out, i felt foreign presence surrounding the camp with my spiritual energy. I went into sensory overdrive mode to look through the darkness of the night to see what was surrounding our camp.

What the fuck is that!

When I looked at the creature surrounding us i saw the stuffed of nightmares. These monstrosities were human shaped but with long dangly arms and legs. Their long arms reached their knees and their long claws reached their knees. Their skin were pale white like snow. Their face was the worst of all. Instead of a face they had 3 slits that could open up. I saw one of the creatures open their slits and flared out jagged teeth the line up in rows. In the middle of all the teeths and the centre of the face was a big red eye and below it was a small hole.

Just as i was about to warn my guards about the impending threats,my guards started using mana and created glowing balls of light which illuminated the area, purging away the darkness.

As soon as the balls of light were summoned, the monster covered back their eyes with their flaps and left hurriedly.

From my memories i remembered that it was a basic spell called light orb which summons a ball of light that illuminates the surrounding area.

Dammit, fuck the Legion, we were taught that mana could only be used to amplify weapons and have a shield surrounding our bodies. Now my memories tell me that it was all a fucking lie to control the masses so they don’t get too powerful? Fuck them!

I check my memories for more information on more spells and knowledge about mana and all i got was a large number of wind spells. Most likely all the spells that the previous princess could have casted. From my knowledge, a person could only use spells from a single attribute.

The common attributes were fire, earth, wind, water, thunder, light and darkness, there were a lot more attributes but i don’t have any knowledge of any other attributes. Moreover, judging from the fact that I have the knowledge of all the wind spells,both the princess and i must be wind attribute. That must be another reason why i was selected to replace her.

“Don’t worry your highness, the night stalkers are afraid of the light, you don’t have to be afraid.” One of the guards tried to console me after seeing my anxious face.

What the fucks were those things, i dont remember anything about them in my memories.

Oh yeah,i remember now, i put a few scary monster into the don’t read section in my conscious. When i was sorting sorting my memories yesterday,i separated the monster memories into a few categories. One of them was the don’t read section, I put it there cause i was scared to read more about them.

Fuck!! Looks like i have to read them tonight.

“Don’t worry your highness, dinner will be done soon” the guard said as he put a few wards surrounding the area.

The fuck,wards? Why don’t i have memories of how to use wards.

I read through some of my memories to find out why.

The princess thought that wards were meaningless to her! She thought that wards were beneath someone of her status should learn. How absurd! She is such a spoiled brat.

Wards are so useful,it can be used for detection,traps and many more! How could she have taught this was beneath her.

“Your highness,your dinner is ready” the guard said.

He brought me to the fire pit and handed me a tray of food.

After i finished my dinner,i told them i wanted to rest and that i be out of the carrier tomorrow morning. From my memories,i found out that the princess rarely interacted with her servants and guards. She is haughty and thinks she is better than everyone. Since she acted that way, i imitated her behaviour.

After went back to my room, i decided to practice using spiritual energy to from my core. From what that guy told me,if i finish forming my core,i would get more powers and that my mana pool would grow again.

I began by trying to locate the location of where the core is forming. From what i have learnt from that guy, the space where my conscious reside is called the sea of conscious. The small walnut size gold bead is what i presumed was my uncomplete core and cyan sea was my spiritual energy.

I guide my spiritual energy to the core. The core slowly absorbed the energy. 10% of the spiritual energy was absorbed while the rest was expelled back into the sea. I then guide the expelled energy back into the core and the process repeats.

This is quite inefficient,there should be a more efficient way to complete the core.

I went into overdrive mode to increase my cognitive ability so that i could think of a better way of doing it.

There are two possible solutions in making it more efficient. One is to increase the percentage of energy absorption, second is to make sure the the expelled energy is automatically sent back to the core.

To have an automated system,all i have to do is to make spirit energy spin like a whirlpool around the unfinished core.The expelled energy will be sucked back into the whirlpool and follow the flow back into the core. To increase energy absorption, instead of letting the core absorb the energy,i should force it in. This should increase the input.

This should work.

With that,i followed the plan. I start by circling the core with my spiritual energy,soon a whirlpool of spiritual energy formed around the core. I forced the energy to rotate faster and faster. The whirlpool started to suck up surrounding energy in my sea of conscious. Due to the speed of the whirlpool,the energy rammed hard into the core,forcing the energy in. To maintain the whirlpool,i used my mana as the fuel.

With that,my mana will be able to grow again. Let’s see how much the percentage of absorption is now.

40%! Holy shit,that’s four times faster than before.

Not only that but,due to the whirlpool,this process will last forever as long as the whirlpool survive.

I checked the clock in the carrier to see the time and saw that it was already 11pm. I went to the back of the carrier where my bedroom lied. I switch to my nightwear and went off to sleep.

The carrier was quite large. It had a resting area,bedroom and a bathroom.

When morning came,i did my *now usual morning routine* that all girls do. After breakfast,i went back to my carrier. To passed the time while travelling,i started to train my mana.

Now that my manapool can grow again,i need to catch up.

Technically my body was 17 years old, it was just that it looked like it was 13. My mana pool size was the size of an average 13 year old. This was because my mana pool stopped growing when i was 13. It stopped growing due to me awakening my spiritual energy.

Mana could be described water and the mana pool could be described as a container. Whenever mana is taken out of the container, it will eventually refill. When more mana enters the container than it can hold,the container will stretch abit. This was how people increased their mana pool,by forcing the mana pool to stretch so that it can contain more mana.

However, due to my core taking in all excess mana to form the core, the mana inside the mana pool never increased. I didn’t have enough mana inside to forcefully stretch the mana pool to increase its size.

I absorbed the mana in the surrounding and force it into the mana pool and slowly it started to fill it up. When it reached the maximum amount it can fill, the mana pool increase by a tiny amount.

Yes!

It worked, my mana pool can grow again!

Finally!

Let’s try casting some spells.

I had never casted anything other than mana shield and mana imbue before. This was because the Legion lied to everyone that mana could only be used to cast these two spells.

I started by casting a few low level wind spells from my memory. I had a lot of wind spells in my memories, some very deadly but i wasn’t going to try those deadly ones now. The most powerful spell i had was called wind blade storm. It would summon hundreds of wind blades which would rotate around me. Anything around me would be shred to pieces. This was very powerful and i currently did not have enough mana to cast it.

From my memory,the princess could cast it but would require almost all of her mana. Right now my mana could only sustain 95% of the spell. This means the princess had slightly higher mana pool than me.

Although our mana pool size were similar,i realised that i wasn't as attuned to the wind element as the princess was. Although i had memories of the wind spells and knowledge of how to cast it. My familiarity with the wind element was almost zero. The princess had been practicing with wind spells since she was young. I just recently started.

To fixed that i started to do wind practice exercise i had in my memories. It was called spinning wind ball. I had to keep a rock floating inside a spinning sphere of air. This would give me more control over wind.

With that the days passed by quickly. Everyday I would wake up in the morning,do morning routine, eat breakfast, increase mana pool, eat lunch, do wind training, eat dinner, more wind training and then i would sleep. We travelled peacefully, sometimes monsters would attack but it wasn’t anything the guards couldn’t handle. The guards easily fended them off. Whenever the guards fought,i would watch to see their spells.

One time it got difficult when an alpha attacked. An alpha was monster who gained magical abilities. An alpha would always travel alone and had a magical core on the forehead. The magical core was where it kept all of its mana.

Alphas were smarter than average monsters. Alpha knew when to hunt for prey and when not to. If it discover that the prey could a threat,it would retreat unlike other monsters who would fight to the death. It was very smart and would stalk its preys for hours, if the prey can’t convince the alpha that it could be a threat. The prey would usually wind up dead. Alpha would stalk a prey for days looking the perfect opportunity to kill.

However luckily the alpha taught of us as a threat and ran off after fighting us for awhile. No one was badly injured after the fight and those with light injuries were healed by potions or servants with life magic.

Life magic is one of the rarer and unique attribute. Wielder of life magic were the best healers and were heavily sought after. This is due to them being able to heal a person from near death if strong enough. It was said that if a life magic wielder was strong enough,he could regenerate a person from a single cell.

After being with the servants for many days i could see that they were genuinely acting like servants and not spies for the Legion.

From what the enforcer said about them being taken over by the Legion. The Legion must have done something. That Resistance guy didn’t remove it,so it means it is not that dangerous to me.

So what is the spiritual energy inside them doing? Waiting for the right chance to take over? Or has it already taken over and they are acting is just very good?

Why didn’t that guy tell me more about this! Okay nevermind, i just act natural for now. When we reach Iranda, i will ask the emperor to change my servants. They will be too much of a threat to my plans if they continue to stay around me. I should also start to call the emperor my father.

If i want to stay in character twenty four-seven, i need to fully immerse myself in this role.

Sorry dad, for the sake of revenge,i will have a new father from now on.
